5-Sterne-Hotels in Doha

I normally stay at 4 star hotels when I travel, but I found a great deal on this hotel and decided to splurge. Not sure if the great experience I had there is normal for any Ritz, this region of the world, or any 5 star hotel, but it was very nice and I think I need to do 5 star travel from now on! The hotel reached out in advance by email to welcome me and see if I had any special requests. The room was very large and comfortable, with all the expected technology and amenities. Balcony was small but had a nice view. A plate of baklava was waiting for me in the room. Great toiletries by dyptique. My booking included breakfast and dinner buffet. Lots of variety, regularly replenished, has indoor and outdoor seating (I recommend sitting outdoors - better ambiance and the waitstaff there were particularly attentive). This was my first time doing halfboard and I’m a fan. Any hotel staff I interacted with were very helpful and went above and beyond at nearly every opportunity. The hotel has beautiful grounds and a lot of amenities including a beach, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, numerous bars and restaurants, etc. On my last day after checking out I used the pool and was able to shower and change in the spa facilities. Tried cocktails at the pool bar and B-lounge (one of the restaurants on the property). Very tasty but my experience in Doha (at the hotel and elsewhere) is that drinks there are incredibly weak so it’s mostly a waste of money. I traveled solo and didn’t see any solo travelers at the hotel. Lots of families, couples, business travelers attending conferences at the hotel. I didn’t feel strange but little opportunity to meet people if that’s what you were hoping for. In terms of the hotel’s location, there’s really no where to go by foot but Ubers come quickly, are relatively cheap, and nothing is that far in Doha. All in all, would definitely recommend staying at the Ritz.

All the hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. The room is very clean and comfortable, especially it’s also child friendly. Their pool staff are very attentive too. Breakfast is great with variety of foods. The staff at breakfast are very attentive to our needs and service is top notch. Kudos to them!

Sehr schönes Hotel mit hervorragendem Service! Die Mitarbeiter sind äußerst höflich und freundlich – besonders das Team an der Rezeption. Wir sind bereits um 12:00 Uhr angekommen, obwohl der reguläre Check-in erst um 15:00 Uhr war, und konnten trotzdem sofort unser Zimmer beziehen. In Doha ist dieses Hotel mein absoluter Favorit! Das Frühstück ist top, und die Mitarbeiter am Strand sind äußerst freundlich und – für mich besonders wichtig – sehr respektvoll. Hier fühlt man sich rundum willkommen, und ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!.

Beim Betreten des Hotels werden Sie mit kostenlosen Datteln und Kaffee begrüßt. Ihr Gepäck wird zuerst durch die Sicherheitskontrolle geschickt. Die beiden Männer an der Rezeption, die Sie eincheckten, waren sehr unterhaltsam und gesprächig. Das Zimmer war unglaublich geräumig! Es gab ein großes Sofa und vom Balkon aus hatte man eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Der Souq Waqif liegt auf der anderen Straßenseite und die U-Bahn-Station ist nur fünf Gehminuten entfernt – absolut praktisch. Das Badezimmer hatte getrennte Nass- und Trockenbereiche, aber das Wasser war nicht heiß genug, was etwas enttäuschend war. Obwohl es tagsüber heiß war, war es nachts etwas kühl. Ich hätte mir eine heiße Dusche gewünscht, um meine Müdigkeit zu lindern, aber das Wasser war nicht heiß genug. Zum Glück musste ich mir an diesem Abend nicht die Haare waschen. Das Frühstück im Hotel war köstlich! Es gab eine große Auswahl und das Restaurant war groß und schön. Ich wollte später auschecken, also kontaktierte ich den Ctrip-Kundenservice, der schnell reagierte und meinen Check-out auf 13:00 Uhr verlängerte.

The hotel was great, staff were very friendly. Upon arriving the check in was prompt and we received a free welcome drink along with 2 drink vouchers to use within the lounge at the hotel. The room was very spacious, clean and included a variety of amenities. We used the gym on site and it was great, has everything that you will/would want in a gym! We had breakfast upon checkout and it was great, there was a wide variety of choices, very well laid out and tasted great. They even provided me with a yogurt bowl to takeout as we didn’t have much time before our flight. Amazing customer service. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Das Hotel besticht durch seine hervorragende Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe einer U-Bahn-Station (Umsteigepunkt dreier Linien) und eines großen Einkaufsviertels (ähnlich wie Xintiandi in Shanghai). Der Václav-Markt ist fußläufig erreichbar, und direkt neben dem Hotel hält ein kostenloser Shuttlebus, der alle 15 Minuten Sightseeing-Touren anbietet. Diese Lage spiegelt eindeutig den Wohlstand der Anwohner wider. Das Hotel war bei Geschäftsreisenden sehr beliebt. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt war, dass ich spät eincheckte und mir ein Zimmer mit schlechter Ausrichtung zugewiesen wurde – niedrige Decke und kein Blick auf die Stadt. Ich hatte dies bereits angefragt, aber das Zimmer wurde nicht geändert.

Gleich nach unserer Ankunft in diesem Hotel erwarteten uns zahlreiche Probleme. Die Kundenbetreuerin bemühte sich, unsere Stimmung mit freundlichen Gesten aufzuhellen, und nachdem ich mich beschwert hatte, sah ich die Verbesserung, aber dieses Hotel benötigt dennoch eine gründliche Schulung der Mitarbeiter und eine Verbesserung der Kommunikation. Ich erhielt keinen einzigen Tag Zimmerausstattung (Zahnbürste, Kosmetikset usw.) für jede noch so kleine Anfrage. Und dann ging es sehr langsam voran. Das Essen im Hauptrestaurant war zwar frisch, aber geschmacklos. Wir probierten ein A-la-carte-Restaurant in der Lobby, aber auch hier fehlte es an Geschmack. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel niemandem, der normalerweise in Fünf-Sterne-Hotels übernachtet, da es anstrengend sein wird, seine Wünsche mitzuteilen. Das ist schade, denn die Anlage ist wunderschön, der Strand ist nett, die Mitarbeiter sind positiv und haben ein Lächeln im Gesicht. Allein der Mangel an Management macht den Urlaub hier nicht angenehm.

We enjoyed a staycation at the Westin with a full board option. This is an all in one resort and has many good amenities including a nice pool area, great restaurants, and many other services on site. The hotel has a pleasant smell to it and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The room is very big with a large bathroom. The room had a lot of furniture including a comfy couch at the foot of the bed, a desk, a large tea/coffee station closet area, comfy bed and lots of cabinets and countertops to put our things. The bathroom was a standout for sure with a large closet area with lots of drawers, a large shower with excellent pressure, and a bath tub that could get a view of the TV in the bedroom. We appreciated the white tea scented bath products and lotion. The room was showing a bit of wear to the carpet and some of the cabinets but nothing major. We felt the room was good and clean. With the full board we got to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. The breakfast was a good buffet filled with western and Asian options and was well stocked each morning. They made hot drinks to order which we enjoyed each day. The lunch was a la carte during our stay and we enjoyed some good steak, chicken and salads during our stay. The sticky toffee pudding at Seasonal Taste was a standout for dessert and we would recommend it. For dinner we were allowed to go to their Iftar tent and it was very good with plenty of options for sushi, pasta, Indian and Thai dishes. The baked fish and Thai curries were really well made for their Ramadan tent. There was also a Baskin Robbins ice cream cart at the iftar. We also enjoyed watching the live entertainment with the swirling dervish and a live band with Arabic instruments. They have some other good restaurants on site including Sabai Thai and Hunter's Grill but those were closed due to Ramadan. We have been at Seasonal Taste around the holidays and they will do special dinners and brunches so it is worth checking out. We had a bit of a mix up on our last day for lunch but the hotel resolved it quickly. The main pool area was closed during our stay but we had access to the indoor pool which was nice and empty when we visited. They have nice and clean locker rooms by the main pool and near the indoor one as well. We used the Heavenly Spa desk to use the squash courts, fitness studio and booked a massage. Staying at the hotel gave us access to the indoor pool and preferred rates for both the squash court and massage. There is not much near this hotel other than other hotels which also have some good restaurants. The metro station is also a bit of a walk from here and there is not too much to do in the area so we would recommend staying in and maximizing your time at the hotel if you are booking here. If you do need to go out we would recommend taking Ubers.

Ein luxuriöses Hotel mit hervorragendem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis; alle Arten von Einwegartikeln waren vorhanden. Das Zimmer war geräumig und das Frühstück sehr reichhaltig. Ich durfte zwei Stunden später auschecken, was ein ausgezeichneter Service war. Wenn man nach dem Haupteingang rechts abbiegt und fünf Minuten geradeaus geht, erreicht man die Cuty Center Mall. Im dritten Stock befinden sich zahlreiche Fast-Food-Restaurants und im ersten Stock ein großer Carrefour-Supermarkt.

Das Zimmer ist geräumig, fühlt sich aber aufgrund der kleinen Fenster etwas beengt an. Das Hotel ist neu eingerichtet und sehr gut für Geschäftsreisen geeignet. Das Frühstück ist im arabischen Stil gehalten, es gibt aber Obst und Gemüse. In der Nähe gibt es einen Supermarkt, der bequem in 3 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen ist, und auch ein kleines Einkaufszentrum ist vorhanden. Eine U-Bahn-Station befindet sich ebenfalls in der Nähe und ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Der Service muss verbessert werden
