4-Sterne-Hotels in Funchal

The location, the setting, the facilities and cleanliness is pretty good. The issue is with their service. We tried calling the reception during the working hours and there was no answer. They also did not call us back. If we are lucky, we will see a staff and get some assistance. It is important to have a car of your own otherwise it is difficult to get around in the resort. The total that the hotel charged is way more than what was shown in trip website. Even if I include the city tax it was still high. It is important to give a clear picture of the total amount of the booking. Just to put it in context, there was almost Euro 150 difference between what was shown in Trip website and the final amount that I paid to the hotel. This is a shocker for me. And of course it is not what I want to have a first experience of using Trip website. This needs to be looked into.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Baia Azul wirklich genossen. Dieses Hotel hat alles! Herrliche Aussicht vom Loungebereich, eine schöne Bar mit Unterhaltung am Abend, exzellenter Service, schöne, komfortable Zimmer und ein sehr schöner Poolbereich. Wir können nichts bemängeln! Das Frühstück war auch wunderbar. Würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten!

The staff is friendly, the room is a good size and everything was clean. The room has a mini fridge, slippers and robes. They also provide pool towels. There is a cleaning service everyday and they change all the towels, including the ones for the pool. The bed was not the best as it was quite hard and had a spring mattress. We enjoyed the indoor pool, the jacuzzi and sauna. We haven't tried the outdoor pool as we only spent time there in the evenings. The breakfast was good. I'd come back as it was a nice experience overall.

We stayed in the hotel with group of friends. The experience was really nice — rooms are clean and design are interesting and cozy. You will have breakfast in the other hotel next door and it’s delicious. Also you can use territory of other hotel — there are really nice lounge zone, pool and sea-view. We enjoyed. Only one thing was disturbing — if you want to sleep with open windows it can be really noisy. Because of the buses (going from early morning) and loud people (who were singing and screaming drunk). But if you close the window everything is perfect. Thanks

Charming hotel with spacious and bright rooms, a well-kept garden and a wonderful view over Funchal. The property is original and very interesting, though perhaps in need of some care. The available parking is a real plus. Quiet location yet close to the city center, with always friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere, highly recommended for a pleasant stay.

Unser Aufenthalt im Hotel war ein wunderbares Erlebnis. Wir wohnten in Gebäude C, direkt am Meer, mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Das Hotel war sehr sauber. Sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen waren ausgezeichnet. Es gab eine große Auswahl und reichlich zu essen, und jeden Tag gab es etwas Neues. Ich kann dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen und werde bei meinem nächsten Besuch auf Madeira definitiv wieder dort übernachten.

Я выбирала отель с видом на океан по доступной цене. В итоге, нашелся отель с очень просторными номерами, панорамным окном, кофе/чай, удобной ванной комнатой с биде, большим балконом. Единственные моменты: раздельная кровать для пары и слабоватый душ. Шум ночных волн на любителя:) Нам пришлось закрывать дверь на балкон, хотя и так было довольно шумно. Сервис очень дружелюбный.  Завтрак вкусный и свежий. Много выпечки, напитки, нарезки и горячее.  Не ожидала, что будет бесплатный трансфер до центра и обратно. Абсолютный плюс этого отеля, потому что находится он не в шаговой доступности от центра.  Виды, чистота возле отеля, свой пляж - это потрясающе.  Далее мы проживали в частном секторе и много что посмотрели на острове, но первые две ночи в Orca Praia остались в нашем сердечке💘 С уважением,  Елена из России

A experiência no Pestana Ocean Bay foi bastante agradável, os colaboradores foram sempre muito simpáticos e atenciosos, ajudaram sempre que foi necessário, têm sem dúvida uma equipa preocupada com o hóspede, atenta, empática, senti-me muito bem recebida… num questionário que respondi a meio da estadia, mencionei que nos buffets poderia haver uvas (isto porque a minha filha gosta muito, e as uvas eram uma fruta que ainda não tinha surgido), fiz essa observação pensando que nem ia ser lida, no entanto, no dia seguinte ao chegar ao quarto tínhamos um belo prato de uvas, nesse momento, sentimo-nos acarinhadas como se estivéssemos em casa, foi um gesto de cuidado que nos deixou sensibilizadas, estão de parabéns por isso e por, efetivamente, lerem os questionários, que muitas vezes achamos que ninguém vai ler e importarem-se com o que lá se escreve. Têm uma boa organização, apresentação e logística de tudo o que envolve uma estadia: refeições, animação ao fim do dia, saídas/passeios, etc. Continuação de um trabalho de excelência ☺️ obrigada.

Wir haben in diesem Hotel in Madeira geblieben und im Ganzen wir uns gut gefühlt. Wir haben das Zimmer sehr gefallen, sowie die Lage, komfortabel, um leicht zu den wichtigsten Interessenpunkten zu erreichen. Auch die Dienstleistungen, die von der Unterkunft angeboten wurden, waren zufriedenstellend und machten den Aufenthalt angenehm. Das einzige, was uns etwas enttäuscht hat, war die Reinigung, die leider unter den Erwartungen lag, vor allem angesichts des allgemeinen Strukturniveaus. Das war jedoch insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung, und wenn man mehr auf die Reinigung konzentriert, wäre der Aufenthalt wirklich gut gewesen.

Sehr freundliches Personal, das Ihnen wie ein regelmäßiger Freund inkommen spricht, einfache Zimmer, aber schöne Fenster für die frische Luft, große Dachaufsicht über den Berg und den Ozean - vor allem schön in der Nacht, da alles erleuchtet ist. Schöne Bar-Setup neben dem Pool auch! Guter Preis für seine perfekte Lage und Reinigung und die Deckung aller Basis und ein bisschen mehr. Guter Frühstücks-Café direkt über die Straße, die dem Café gegenüber steht! Das Personal war super hilfreich bei der Einrichtung eines späten Check-in auch.
