We chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to the Shantou railway station. The night prior, we stayed at a nearby Hampton but had a disappointing experience, so this was our first stay with a local Chinese chain brand. Check-in was smooth and efficient, although no English was spoken at the front desk. We had requested a higher-floor, quieter room via WeChat in advance and were initially assigned Room 602. Upon entering, the room appeared clean and well-maintained. However, we encountered an unusual and inconvenient issue with the Wi-Fi. Guests are instructed to turn on the TV to access the Wi-Fi password, but we discovered that the TV must remain on in order for the Wi-Fi to function. This was confirmed by multiple staff members, including what appeared to be a front desk supervisor. This setup was quite disruptive, as the TV screen is bright and cannot be dimmed, and the work desk is positioned directly in front of it. To their credit, Ms. Lin—responded promptly and offered to move us to another room (also 602, but with a different layout). The new layout was more practical, with the desk positioned at a 90-degree angle from the TV, which helped mitigate the issue somewhat. That said, the second room had its own drawback: there was a noticeable gap in the window, which allowed in road noise. Since we stayed over the weekend, traffic noise and honking were quite noticeable at night. In addition, we heard neighbors chatting and laughing past midnight. Lotion could be a nice addition too. A small humidifier with scented oil definitely gave a zen touch. Aside from these two issues (Wi-Fi dependency on the TV and sound insulation), the overall stay was comfortable. As a gesture of goodwill, the hotel provided complimentary breakfast. While we are not typically breakfast eaters, we did try the noodle station. The offerings were entirely Chinese-style. One suggestion would be to label the protein options more clearly (in Chinese or English), as we observed multiple guests asking staff about them—one of which turned out to be pig’s heart. Overall, this was a good introduction to a Chinese domestic hotel brand. I learned that they got a few locations in Europe. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in technology setup and soundproofing, the service recovery effort and general room quality made for a satisfactory stay.

A solid, modern choice for a short trip. The property is fresh and has some really cool features, like the robot that delivers food directly to your doorstep—it's a very convenient and cool touch. Highlights: Love the dual-pillow options (soft/hard) and the 24-hour front desk that helps manage the laundry for you. We were also grateful for the free room extension until 1 PM. Drawbacks: No ground-floor staff to help with bags since the lobby is on Level 2. Wi-Fi signal is weak, and the breakfast is the same every day (though there are many eateries nearby). Smells: You’ll notice the wet market smell outside and the strong essential oil scent in the lobby, but it’s manageable since you aren't at the hotel lobby all day.

What an excellent hotel. It appears to be relatively new, so it was a real treat to sleep in fresh, crisp sheets, and I loved the supportive, firmer mattress. The blackout curtains and double-glazed windows were excellent too, making it easy to get a great night's sleep off the plane. Unfortunately, I missed breakfast, so I can't comment on that, but the Italian drip coffee bags provided in the room were more than enough to get me caffeinated and ready for my meetings. Room service being delivered by a robot was an unexpected novelty and definitely added a bit of fun to the stay. The front desk staff were exceptional. They went out of their way to help me order takeaway and organise a DiDi to the nearby train station, making everything effortless despite the language barrier. The weather outside was hot and humid, but it never affected my comfort inside. The air conditioning worked brilliantly, cooling the room with a natural feel and without the usual noisy rattling that many hotel units have. The DIY laundry was another unexpected bonus. With the humid weather requiring more outfit changes than I'd anticipated, being able to wash and dry my clothes was incredibly convenient. The gym was also well equipped and a great alternative to running outside in the heat or getting lost. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again on future trips.

The grand hotel is located in the city of Chaoyang - a small industrial city - possibly best known for it’s production of undergarment. Chaoyang is approximately 39-45 minutes (by car) away from Shantou city center. The hotel has recently been elaborately renovated which explains why it - for the most part - looks like it was just recently built and opened. Older reviews are therefor inaccurate. I visited a friend in the city and during my stay I enjoyed the comfort of one of the hotel’s two-room business suites. Both rooms (living room and bed room) can be separated by a proper door. The bedroom has its own nice big bathroom with a toilet, huge shower and sink. In the hallway (before the living room) there is a restroom with its very own toilet and sink. This is very practical if you plan to receive guests in your business suite - because they won’t have to walk through your bedroom in order to use the toilet. I never had a business suite before but when I saw the price and the pictures I suspected it could be an amazing deal - and it absolutely was. I would love to stay at this hotel again. The hotel has a small restaurant that offers a good Chinese breakfast. A spa and karaoke-bar are located inside the hotel. In my business suite I I never noticed the bar. No noise. I was going to visit the the spa but it was closed due to renovation.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough - I’m from the US and I’d venture to say that I’ve never received such excellent service. The ladies working the front desk were so kind and so accommodating. My dad accidentally left his backpack in the hotel room while we rushed to catch our train after checking out. After anxiously contacting them on WeChat, they attentively offered to fast-track its delivery to our next hotel. The conversation was seamless and they really quelled our concerns. I really felt cared for by the staff at this hotel. Even when we arrived at the hotel, we were very impressed by how clean and spacious the rooms were. The beds were also so comfortable. We were also able to enjoy time in their lobby after ordering take-out. I wish we had the opportunity to stay more than one night!! The location is just a short didi away from the Shantou train station. The breakfast selection was excellent (and we were even able to pack a few up in to-go boxes for my aunts who didn’t have time to sit down to enjoy their meal). Thank you so much for having us at this hotel - we really enjoyed it and cannot recommend it enough!!

Keine Bedauern, mehr für diesen schönen Heimuntergang zu bezahlen! Es gibt keine Verluste, mehr Geld zu verdienen. Meine Eltern, Schwestern und ich waren für insgesamt 3 Nächte in ihrem 4-Pax-Zimmer. Es ist eine schöne und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Unterkunft mit persönlichem Hof und Innenraum. Bett und Duvet waren so komfortable, besonders im kalten Wetter von 18 ~ 22 Grad. Ich habe nichts offensichtliches festgestellt, dass ich mich über die Reinigkeit dieses Ortes beschweren kann, daher 5/5 für Reinigkeit. Die Lage ist perfekt (5/5). Neben den Straßen von Lebensmitteln Orten mit guten Ratings und super in der Nähe von Habsburg Einkaufszentrum (Restaurants, Luxusgeschäfte, Einzelhandel und mehr). Jedenfalls ist das Abholen rund um Shantou wirklich bequem, schnell und erschwinglich. Obwohl es unter anderem hochbewohnt ist, wenn wir die Tür schließen, konnten wir nicht viel Lärm von außen hören. Service ist 5/5 auch. Es gibt kostenloses Pickup und Drop off serviert von der Bahnhof. Es gibt täglich frische Früchte, die uns geliefert werden, sowie Hühnersuppe. Es gibt auch kostenlose Waschservice, den wir wirklich schätzen! Die Mitarbeiter waren immer bereit, zu helfen und immer bereit, Empfehlungen zu geben. Wir fühlten wirklich ihre Gastfreundschaft und sie sind echt bei der Bereitstellung der besten Service möglich. Die Ausstattung ist 5/5 auch. Der Haartrockner ist Laifen Marke, die so stark und glatt ist. Sie bieten einseitige Handtücher an den Oberschenkeln dieser wiederverwendbaren Handtücher. Ihre Slips sind fluffig und komfortabel. Sie haben wie alles, was wir brauchen. Bonus: Ihre Hauskatze und ihre Katzen sind wunderschön! Alles in allem wunderbaren Aufenthalt und würde wieder bleiben, wenn ich wieder Shantou besuche. Vorschläge für Verbesserungen: (1) mehr Vielfalt in Frühstücksoptionen (geblieben für 3 Nächte und fühlte sich, dass einige Frühstücksoptionen wären groß), und (2) die Dusche Gel, Shampoo und Klimaanlage sind etwas zu schwer zu entsorgen vielleicht kann man überlegen, die Presse zu verwenden Flaschen.

Days Inn By Wyndham Shantou Jinping. The Absolute Best Hub for a Chaoshan Food Hunt! Our holiday in Shantou was an incredible culinary adventure, and staying here made the entire trip seamless. The location is exceptionally convenient for food lovers. The hotel is located in between 2 highly rated nearby food streets, the Longyan South Road Food Street and Zhenbang Road Food Street, just a short walk away and absolutely packed with local flavor. We completely skipped the hotel dining because our sole mission was to eat street food. The absolute highlights of our trip were the highly raved-about Chaoshan beef hotpot and the famous local braised goose—both were incredibly delicious and easily accessible from the hotel! On top of the amazing dining, the area is perfect for shopping local specialities, and we managed to buy and bring home tons of fantastic dried seafood. The hotel itself provided a fantastic resting place. After a long day of walking and eating, coming back to a clean, comfortable, and modern room was exactly what we needed. The staff were very helpful, and the room amenities were excellent. If you are visiting Swatow for a food hunt and shopping spree, look no further than this hotel !

My second time staying here. I like the location and also the warm service by the staff here. Will stay here again when i next visit

Das Hotel besticht durch seine hervorragende Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe der Longyan Road und ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ein direkter Flughafen-Shuttlebus fährt direkt vom Hotel ab. Sehr empfehlenswert.
