The best stay I’ve ever had in my entire life — and trust me, I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and B&Bs. ;) The rooms are gorgeous, spotless, and super comfortable, with great attention to detail — everything I could possibly need (and more!) was provided. The bathroom even had a Dyson hair dryer, a Kohler heated automatic toilet, and a Hansgrohe faucet! If you’re not familiar with these brands, just know they’re the best you can get. The location is convenient for reaching downtown Datong and various points of interest… but honestly, these technical aspects — which alone would already deserve a 10-star rating — pale in comparison to the warmth and kindness we received from the B&B owners. My friends and I truly felt at home, pampered by Ben, the guy who runs the place with such care and attention to his guests that I’ve never experienced anywhere else (not even in 5-star hotels!). He and his sister picked us up at the station — both speak excellent English (which is not something you can take for granted in China) — and they recommended amazing local restaurants, must-see attractions, and even welcomed us with a lovely gift package of local specialties. For breakfast, Ben’s mother prepared a rich and delicious traditional meal, and for our train trip she even packed homemade bread for us to take along! Datong is a charming city, and if you visit, you absolutely have to stay here!!!

Abschließende Bewertung: Schatzhof! Die Lage ist sehr gut, die Einrichtungen sind komplett, ich habe viele Einzelartikel nicht genutzt, das Hotel ist sehr gut vorbereitet. Es gibt ein kleines intelligentes System, das Daison-Storm mit einer Vielzahl von Stormkopfen und Daison-Schuhe ausgestattet ist, und die Verbrennungsschlauch ist auch ein Einzelfall! Der Service des kleinen Hof- und Geschäftschefs ist super gut, es muss gefragt werden, und die Antwort ist rechtzeitig. Am ersten Tag gab Zhang eine Karte, die einige Reiserouten empfehlen würde, kann auch helfen, das Hot Restaurant zu laufen und jeden Tag fragen, wo das Restaurant ist, ohne Hilfe zu nehmen. Am Tag des Austritts gab ich auch eine Geschenke. Es gibt eine bequeme Parkplätze und eine Lagerhalle. Es gibt auch ein kleines Frühstück im Hof, das von Aoi selbst gemacht wurde. Bis 11 Uhr morgens geliefert werden, nicht schnell aufstehen, es gibt nicht nur ein chinesisches und westliches Essen, sondern auch ein großes lokales Messer, Weizen, die Landschaft ist reichhaltig. Mit eigenem Bad mit Schneider, kleinen Fitnessraum, Roboter-Service, die Details sind voll. Das Personal der Rezeption ist enthusiastisch und wird auch die lokalen Speisen empfehlen. Ob es sich um einen Zurück zu Hause oder um einen großen Tourismus handelt, diese Karikatur ist die erste Wahl, und das nächste Mal wieder hier leben!

We took a 23-day trip through China, staying in 9 different hotels. Without hesitation, I can say that our stay at Floral stood out in many ways. First, the hotel's structure is very beautiful and has been renovated while staying true to the traditional style of the region. The hotel room itself was probably the most beautiful we had seen on our entire trip: spacious, with windows that actually opened, good air conditioning, and modern decor and furniture without being over the top. Second, the hotel's location is within the boundaries of the city wall and is part of the old town, so beautiful to walk around and see the traditional houses - many of them renovated according to the traditional style. And third and most importantly, the kindness of the people who work at the hotel. I have never felt so welcome anywhere on holiday as at this place. Unfortunately, I arrived with health problems and needed antibiotics - equivalents of the ones I had brought from Europe. I asked the reception where I could find the closest pharmacy, but rather than guiding me there, Xiao Liu, the lady at the reception, figured out for me which antibiotic would be the right one and got it for me. The same when we needed a suitcase, rather than sending me to the shop she inquired about our desired suitcase and in one hour it was there. Drinks are complementary at any time of the day, and the breakfast (Chinese and international - sandwiches) was generous and unlimited. When we were running late coming back from the grottoes and needed to catch a train, Xiao Liu helped us out by bringing us all our suitcases directly to the train station. We will never forget all these acts of kindness and we are still grateful to her and the entire hotel staff for making us feel so much at home. Datong will stay in our minds and hearts forever thanks to the people of the Floral hotel. Datong is special enough for all the incredible cultural sights you can visit - but our stay there will never be forgotten thanks to the beauty of the Floral Hotel and its amazing people. Dieses Aufenthaltserlebnis war wirklich großartig! Die Umgebung des B&B ist sehr warm, die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich und die Raumaufteilung ist einzigartig, sodass sich die Leute wie zu Hause fühlen. Der Gastgeber war sehr herzlich. Er hat uns nicht nur im Voraus die Check-in-Details mitgeteilt, sondern uns auch nahegelegene Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten empfohlen. Er war wie ein fürsorglicher Freund. Die Lage des B&B ist außerdem sehr praktisch. Es gibt gute Verkehrsanbindungen und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants können zu Fuß erreicht werden. Nachts war es sehr ruhig und ich habe sehr fest geschlafen. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers ist vollständig vorhanden, insbesondere die Bettwäsche und Toilettenartikel sind von sehr guter Qualität und mit gut gelungenen Details. Alles in allem war es ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt und ich kann ihn jedem, der entspannen möchte, wärmstens empfehlen! Wenn ich das nächste Mal hierherkomme, werde ich mich auf jeden Fall wieder für diese Privatunterkunft entscheiden! 🌟

Das Zimmer ist sauber und ordentlich, kein Geruch. Die Dekoration ist klassisch und elegant und die Matratzen sind bequem. Das Badezimmer ist von Nass und Trocken getrennt und die Toilettenartikel sind komplett ausgestattet und durchdacht, wie Einweg-Badetücher, Mundwasser, Einweg-Toilettensitze usw., alles kostenlos. Der Service ist herzlich und aufmerksam. Da es in der Stadt liegt, ist es sehr bequem, die umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants zu erreichen. Ich werde in Zukunft wieder dorthin gehen.

This boutique hotel is conveniently located in the old City. The hotel staff are very friendly and even fetched us from the train station. Hotel room is spacious and comfortable. I accidentally dropped a ring in the lobby and the staff picked up and returned to me. Very pleasant staff and highly recommended.

The hot spring hotel has been awesome. The room is very big, super clean and bright enough in areas like the bathroom. It is warm enough even in winter due to the underfloor heating,, so I have to turn off the room air con heating. The hotel front desk team is even more awesome. They are always ready to help with all kinds of queries and needs. When we were leaving, they even gave us a bottle of local vinegar as a gift. The hot spring is not located inside the hotel like the Japanese onsen. It is a couple of hundred meters away, but the hotel provided an electric buggy to ferry you to and fro. The hot spring area itself has a changing room, where you can out on the bathrobe before you step out in the open and into the hot spring. So even in winter, it is still manageable and you should not catch a cold. Some regular hot spring users even put on their down feather jacket over the bathrobe, and that surely is more effective. There are even security personnel at the hot spring to make sure there is help if you get into difficulties. Breakfast is also good. The hotel also uses the buggy to fetch you to a posh looking restaurant in the hotel vicinity. Food is good, and not too expensive. There is also a small retail outlet next to the restaurant. The prices there are very reasonable.

Zu unserer Überraschung wurden wir mit einem bedenklichen Willkommen begrüßt, das einen frischen Obstkorb, traditionelle chinesische Suppe und komplimentärer Tee umfasste. Das Hotel bietet eine beeindruckende Frühstücksauswahl, die sowohl lokale als auch internationale Geschmacksrichtungen zu catering. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, unspottlich sauber, und die Betten sind unglaublich komfortabel, so dass es nach einem Tag der Sehenswürdigkeit leicht zu entspannen ist. Das war mein zweites Aufenthalt im Great Palace Hotel, und wieder überstieg es die Erwartungen. Idealer Standort ist direkt im Herzen der Stadt, in der Nähe aller großen touristischen Attraktionen und nur wenige Kilometer vom Bahnhof entfernt. Besonders dankbar zum Manager Manager, der außergewöhnlich freundlich und hilfreich war während unseres Aufenthalts. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel ganz herzlich jedem, der Datong besucht. Was dieses Hotel wirklich getrennt setzt ist die Aufmerksamkeit auf Details und die echte Gastfreundschaft des Personals. Ob Sie ein erster Besucher oder ein rückkehrender Gast sind, der Service bleibt konsequent hoch. Die Atmosphäre zeichnet das perfekte Gleichgewicht zwischen traditionellem Charme und modernem Komfort ab, so dass es eine zuverlässige Wahl für Freizeit- und Geschäftsreisende macht. Von der Eincheckung bis zum Auscheck war jeder Aspekt unseres Aufenthalts reibungslos, entspannt und angenehm.
