GGastnutzerDer allgemeine Service des Hotels ist sehr zufriedenstellend, die Dekoration des Hotels ist sehr gedankenvoll, die Einstellung der Mitarbeiter ist sehr gut und wir haben ein günstiges Gefühl für die Gäste. Die Lage des Hotels ist groß wie das Zentrum der Altstadt und ist überall sehr bequem. Das Hotel hat den Meister für ihn geplant, wir pakken den Wagen, er ist sehr professionell, sehr freundlich und die Service-Einstellung ist sehr gut.

GGastnutzerThe best stay I’ve ever had in my entire life — and trust me, I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and B&Bs. ;)
The rooms are gorgeous, spotless, and super comfortable, with great attention to detail — everything I could possibly need (and more!) was provided. The bathroom even had a Dyson hair dryer, a Kohler heated automatic toilet, and a Hansgrohe faucet! If you’re not familiar with these brands, just know they’re the best you can get. The location is convenient for reaching downtown Datong and various points of interest… but honestly, these technical aspects — which alone would already deserve a 10-star rating — pale in comparison to the warmth and kindness we received from the B&B owners.
My friends and I truly felt at home, pampered by Ben, the guy who runs the place with such care and attention to his guests that I’ve never experienced anywhere else (not even in 5-star hotels!). He and his sister picked us up at the station — both speak excellent English (which is not something you can take for granted in China) — and they recommended amazing local restaurants, must-see attractions, and even welcomed us with a lovely gift package of local specialties.
For breakfast, Ben’s mother prepared a rich and delicious traditional meal, and for our train trip she even packed homemade bread for us to take along!
Datong is a charming city, and if you visit, you absolutely have to stay here!!!

GGastnutzerIch habe dieses B&B gebucht, weil mir der Innenhof gefällt, aber die komfortable Umgebung und der hochwertige Service sowie die Gastfreundschaft des Besitzers können diese unbedeutende Entfernung wettmachen -off-Services und der Eigentümer werden Sie persönlich mit Ihrem eigenen Land Rover oder Alfa fahren, um Passagiere abzuholen und wieder abzusetzen. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich, alles wird auf Bestellung zubereitet und das Geschirr besteht aus exquisitem Knochenporzellan. Nachmittags gibt es außerdem kostenlosen Nachmittagstee, Mousse-Kuchen, Pommes Frites, Brathähnchen und Kaffee. Jedes Zimmer ist mit Sanitärartikeln von Kohler, einem Luftreiniger von Dyson, einem Haartrockner von Dyson und Toilettenartikeln von L'Occitane sowie kostenlosen Einweghandtüchern und Toilettenvorlegern ausgestattet. Alle Getränke im kleinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer sind kostenlos und Sie können unbegrenzt trinken. Der Innenhof ist sehr elegant eingerichtet, mit Tischen, Stühlen und Sonnenschirmen zum entspannten Nachmittagstee, einem Fischteich und Ihnen Man kann Minus II direkt sehen. Es gibt ein Sichtglas für den Pool im ersten Stock. Es gibt auch viele kindliche kleine Hasenschaukelanhänger Einige Tomatensämlinge an der Wand gepflanzt. Beim Verlassen des Ladens tragen die Tomaten bereits grüne Früchte. Dies ist das zufriedenstellendste Unterkunftserlebnis auf dieser Reise. Die Kinder werden dieses Hotel nicht mehr verlassen, wenn sie in Zukunft nach Datong reisen.

AAixiaodexiaoyuziyayaAusstattung: Die Zimmerausstattung wird wie angegeben vollständig von Xiao Ai gesteuert und das ganze Haus ist intelligent. Aber ich weiß nicht, was mit dieser Toilette los ist, man muss seine Handfläche darauf legen, um sie zu spülen 😂
Hygiene: Mit der Hygiene habe ich nicht näher geachtet, aber sie soll gut sein.
Umgebung: Mir gefällt die Einrichtung des Hotels. Das Hotel liegt in der antiken Stadt Datong. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der antiken Stadt können Sie zu Fuß erreichen.
Service: Der Service ist im Allgemeinen gut und die Damen an der Rezeption sind sehr hübsch und freundlich.
Obwohl mein gebuchtes Zimmer nicht groß ist, reicht es für drei Personen. Dieser Preis ist definitiv viel höher als in Sternehotels außerhalb der antiken Stadt, aber im Vergleich zu anderen Privatunterkünften in der antiken Stadt bietet es das beste Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wenn ich noch eine Chance hätte, würde ich mich dennoch für ein Leben in der Altstadt entscheiden, weil sie zu groß ist und es zu viel Verkehr gibt. Daher wäre es viel bequemer, in der antiken Stadt zu essen, zu leben und zu spielen.

GGastnutzerDas Überraschendste an meiner Reise nach Datong ist, dass das B&B in einer wohlhabenden Gegend der antiken Stadt liegt. Man kann die Tür öffnen und in die geschäftige Stadt eintreten, aber die Tür schließen und sich ruhig und wohl fühlen. Das B&B liegt weniger als 5 Gehminuten von den im Internet bekannten Restaurants 369 Coarse Rice Restaurant, Long Juxiang und Shunyi Liangfen entfernt. Nach dem Anstehen können Sie bequem zu Fuß dorthin gehen. Der Service des Besitzers ist aufmerksam, das B&B ist elegant eingerichtet und die Einrichtungen im Inneren sind super neu, der gleiche Standard wie ein 5-Sterne-Hotel. Die Bettwäsche ist sauber und bequem und meine Tochter möchte nicht gehen. Ich habe es meinen Kollegen empfohlen und werde dieses Fünf-Sterne-B&B wählen, wenn ich das nächste Mal nach Datong komme!

GGastnutzer民宿位於古城北門附近，很好找。第一天剛到的時候，前台妹妹親自去接，讓我們感受到了温暖和熱情。妹妹引領我們到了民宿還給了我們手寫的地圖，附近好吃好玩的寫的很詳細，還提前問我們第二天大概幾點吃早飯，給我們備餐，真是很周到。備餐的姐姐手藝也超好，手擀麪我念念不忘，真是比外面的老柴好吃多了。由於鳳臨閣，龍聚祥都太難搶了，妹妹還告訴我龍聚祥有外賣，我們點了在餐廳吃到了，也是沒有遺憾了。

MMethilanI spent nearly a week at Datong Milan/Magnolia Hotel (Dai Residence branch) and it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay
Location:
- Nestled a quieter part of the ancient city, that provided a peaceful retreat after each day of exploring.
- 10 minutes to some of the attractions of the old town
- 15-20 minute walk to the popular restaurants and more attractions
- 30 minute walk to Huayan Temple and its nearby street markets.
I'm always happy to walk but if needed, I could always use DiDi to take me around.
Falling asleep without street noise is something I like. There is a bit of building work going nearby, which is happening all over Datong Ancient City, but nothing too major.
Nearby is the Ancient City's wall, but walk past that and you can see the locals dance in the morning in the park or walk along the canal/moat in the evening.
Room:
The room was surprisingly spacious, offering plenty of room to spread out and relax, a welcome change from cramped city accommodations. The staircase is a bit narrow, so those with lots of big luggage might struggle (no lift)
Importantly, it was very clean and well equipped. I especially liked the Chinese tea ceremony set!
Service:
- Despite a noticeable language barrier, everyone went above and beyond with smiles, helpful gestures, and clear efforts to communicate.
- Especially the manager, who told me about local food to try, things to do and asked if I needed anything. She noticed that I was bringing back leftovers from the restaurant, and bottled drinks from the shops, and said I could use the fridge.
- I can't speak Chinese so when the delivery driver came to drop off my order, the staff will take it from the reception and bring it to me.
- Unfortunately, breakfast isn't available here
- Drinking water topped up. Humidifier and mosquito repellent were provided when needed.
I will not hesitate to book here again on my next visit and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking comfort and genuine warmth in Datong!

GGastnutzerThe hotel is in a commercial building where many tenants have moved out. It feels deserted. Except for its neighbour Han Ting hotel and the minimart beside, there does not seem to have any activity.
The staff are friendly enough. There is no public toilet for the hotel guests. Guests could only use the toilets in their hotel rooms or use the public toilet on the first floor which is disgustingly dirty. It is a hassle for guests whose flight or train is in the evening after checking out in the daytime. I had to use another hotel's toilet in the evening.
The hotel room's shower curtains have frayed at the edge, are a little mouldy and need to be replaced. I suspect that as it is a budget hotel, the management don't care. But the room and its toilet are clean.
On food, the hotel is small so they work with an eatery outside to provide breakfast if you have breakfast included in your stay. The breakfast options are limited so it is better to go out and buy breakfast. To my surprise, there are no breakfast eateries nearby! One has to walk until the cross junction where one sees the Datong Railway Station before there are some eateries. Or, one can walk in the direction towards the Datong Ancient City and along the way, there are some restaurants and eateries. EatWheat 东方削面 is authentic in its local flavour.
The hotel location is near the Datong Ancient City. If you are up for a bit of walk, it is possible to walk there.
If there is an emergency, please go to 三医院 The Third Hospital which is the nearest public hospital with all facilities available. The rest of the hospitals nearby may not be fully equipped.
