"I moved to this place because the accommodations were fully booked in Jincheng for the Chinese holidays. The owner welcomed me and tried to help me as much as possible. You can borrow bicycles when available for free to go around the island.
I think the owner is managing much of it by himself so it is not easy to maintain.
I had a nice time staying here."

AAnonymer BenutzerDie Würfel sind sehr sauber, man kann sagen, es ist eine farblose Würfel, die Würfel sind sehr bequem und die Haut ist super bequem, es fühlt sich gut getrocknet, nicht die Art von Würfeln, die schmeckt und schwer zu bedecken sind, die Service-Einstellung ist auch sehr gut, was ich nach dem Aufenthalt habe, ist eine sofortige Antwort, In der Nacht kam plötzlich ein großer Insekt aus dem Zimmer, und erzählte dem Volksbewohner, der Volksbewohner schickte sofort Leute, um mir zu helfen, Insekten zu fangen, ich konnte sehr ruhig schlafen und das nächste Mal, wenn ich die Goldtür bekam, wohnte ich auch hier.

Jack was super helpful with information about the ferry tickets, and even made an extra trip back to the port because I Ieft my umbrella behind. And his mom was very kind and welcoming too.
A note to those who may be sensitive: there was a faint musty smell, which I’ve found common to many hotels and guest houses in humid climates like Taiwan. Earplugs are recommended for light sleepers, since you can hear courtyard and street noise in the room. Plan ahead for cash: nearby restaurants are cash-only, and the nearest atm is at 7-11, about a 20 minute walk away.

PPang JDer Aufenthalt in Jingcheng Home Stay war für uns perfekt. Da Kinmen eine sehr kleine Stadt ist und unsere Familie dort vor allem zu erleben sein historisches Erbe. Die Frau des Besitzers von Jingcheng, Frau Xie, war am ersten Tag sehr hilfreich, als sie uns um die Stadt für eine kurze Tour nahmen und uns dabei half, die lokalen Tourbusrouten zu ermitteln. Das hat uns viel Zeit und Unannehmlichkeiten am nächsten Tag gerettet. Und sie half uns, vor der Zeit für unsere Abreise zum Fähre Pier einen Taxi zu rufen. Ich empfehle Jingcheng sehr für diejenigen, die sich nicht um den Aufenthalt zu Hause kümmern.

GGastnutzerThe homestay is a short walk from the bus stop (for buses No Red 1 and No 2 from the main Kinmen town of Jincheng) and a 7-11 convenience store. The traditional Fujian building is beautiful and an attraction in itself, with an atmospheric courtyard where guests could chill with coffee and/or a meal. But it has been newly renovated with modern amenities, and the place is very clean and well kept.
The host was warm and really very helpful. When he heard that we wanted to walk up Mt Taiwu, he drove us to the start of the walking trail. He also gave us a contact for a taxi driver in case we needed a ride back. And when he learnt that we were tracing our ancestors, he brought us to meet an elder who might have a family register. Really thankful to have met a host like him.

GGastnutzerI had a wonderful experience at this hotel and cannot recommend it enough. Everything was fantastic from start to finish.
The highlight of my stay was definitely the owner; she is incredibly kind and helpful. She went above and beyond to assist me in renting an electric scooter, which made exploring the area so much easier.
The property was spotlessly clean, and the location is very convenient. There is a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, which was very handy. If you are looking for a great place to stay with top-notch service, this is it.

Room 3307 toilet are not clean angle fungus ( mattress full of bugs can’t sleep whole I use menthol spray to kill the bed bugs if flood out many ,. Aircon are super low support so hot to sleep with ,. I skipped away for my life a day of suffering to stay ,. Deco are model but amenities of healthy environment don’t match the price ,. For hygiene issue I choose to leave the place after suffering n rolling around with bugs n warm low aircon support ,. Please be good to travellers scary scary

GGastnutzerI had a really pleasant stay at Kivala Hostel. The place was very clean and well looked after, especially the bathrooms and sleeping areas, which made a big difference for a hostel. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with, and the check-in process was smooth.
The location is quiet and peaceful, which I personally liked, though it’s a little away from the main busy areas — something to keep in mind if you want everything right outside your door. The common areas were comfortable and practical, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and respectful rather than noisy or chaotic.
Overall, it’s great value for money and a solid choice if you want a clean, comfortable, and relaxed place to stay in Kinmen. I’d happily stay here again.

Some reviewers said the area isn’t super lively with restaurants right outside, but it’s peaceful and a good base for exploring by bike or scooter. 
Cleanliness & facilities:
Guests generally mention that the rooms are clean and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi and basic amenities like air-conditioning, a fridge, and reliable water. It’s not a luxury place — think simple yet functional. 
One recommended feature is that it offers free airport transfer (with prior notice), which is handy if you’re flying into Kinmen.
