I stayed for five nights and paid 16,700 Indian Rupees, which is about 172 British Pounds. This means that I paid 34 Pounds per night. What did I get for 34 Pounds a night? Read below: “Hotel”?: It is NOT a hotel. Stop advertising it as a “hotel”. Reception: This is essentially the front house where the family that runs Garden Villa lives. You will not see anyone most of the time at the “reception” and will need to stand at the steps/entrance and look into the house expectantly and someone will come out and attend to you. That is reception for you. Garden: The “garden” is essentially a few patches of grass and a few average looking plants that grow nearly everywhere in Goa. If you are lucky, you will get a room that overlooks this “garden”. If you are not lucky, you will have a view overlooking a back street, or worse. Swimming Pool: Don’t be fooled by the swimming pool. It is a really small and shallow pool in open air – let us face it, Indians don’t have much of a swimming pool tradition/culture. The pool is about 10-15 meters from a very dusty and busy road. The pool is not covered so you can imagine dust, bird droppings, debris from trees, and heavens know what, fall into the pool. During my five-days stay, I did not see anyone cleaning it. I saw only once someone using it - a group of young Indian men having what looked like a bath. WiFi: Poor and intermittent. I would not say more. Room: Utterly utterly average room with a double bed, a table, a coat hanger, a TV (see below), a mirror, and small bucket as a dustbin (see photos). Absolutely nothing else. TV: NO FREE CHANNELS. TV was not connected to any network or cable in my room. I needed to ask the reception three times to come and connect it with cable, dish, or anything. They finally put a plug-in device (a kind or WiFi access point), which enabled the TV to receive Amazon Prime, Netflix, and some Indian channels. BUT you must pay for them. They are NOT free. Mattress and pillow: Utterly poor quality and old mattress and pillow, which hadn’t been well maintained and cleaned. The Garden Villa ***agement tried to cover the old mattress with a foam cover which was a little short and shrunk at the corners (see photos). Bathroom: Probably the worst bathroom you will get for 34 British Pounds a night. Toilet was old and rickety, paint was peeling off the walls and also off the rusty toilet door. Sink, taps, and mirror were looked uncleaned with signs of mould (or mold). Fridge: NO FRIDGE IN THE ROOM. Again, in most hotels you will find a fridge but not at Garden Villa. If you are in Goa, you cannot do without a fridge. It is very warm and hot throughout the year, and you will badly miss a fridge. But sadly rooms come with NO FRIDGE. Room service: You will need to ask the “reception” for someone to come around and clean the room. If you don’t ask, no-one is going to come around. Restaurant: No restaurant at Garden Villa. Das Hotel liegt in Anjuna und in wenigen Minuten von allen Top-Restaurants und Gelenken entfernt. Aber das brauchen Sie nicht, weil das Essen im Hotel so lecker ist, fühlen Sie sich nicht die Notwendigkeit, aus zu gehen, um gutes Essen zu finden. Dieses Hotel ist sicherlich seine 5-Sterne-Bewertung wert. Die Zimmer waren geräumig und das Bett war komfortabel. Es gab keine Anfrage von dem Hilfsbüro, das nicht besucht wurde. Kurz gesagt, geliebt der Ort. Sicherlich ein Besuch für Paare und Familien.

When booking, we had shared all booking IDs as we were 4 couples with young kids and each had booked their own room. All IDs were shared with Ms. Priyanka. We clearly had asked if there was a wedding group, we will not book the rooms, but we were assured that there is no wedding group booking. We were even holding parallel reservation at another Hyatt hotel which we cancelled as Grand Hyatt was a preferred property. And then as soon as we landed we came to know that there was a wedding group at the property. As a family and leisure traveller, you do not wish to be barging into a wedding party when you want a quiet time. Then the check-in experience was messed up as rooms were not allotted together after relaying the information more than 45 days in advance. When rooms were allotted they gave a twin bed room instead of king bed. A basic no view room was allotted instead of bay view as was booked. The amount of time spent in changing the room took aways more than 3 hours of time on day of arrival and kids did not get time to go to the pool at all. They were disappointed as they could not go to the beach or the pool that evening. They did upgrade one room to a suite but in a group of 4 families it is not helpful as to pick who would stay in the suite, so the gesture wasnt very helpful. After getting in touch with Mr. Aditya Bhanwar (Director of Rooms) through a contact we were next day again shifted to another block which was supposed to be away from the wedding party but the wedding party was occupying area near the pool with loud music which was a bummer. Next day the Asst. ***ager Ms. Zuvaria still messed up on shifting process and when we had asked assistance on the restaurant, she again created confusion wasting over an hour without any reason. The feedback was relayed to Mr. Aditya and ***ager Mr. Gaurav. When rooms were shifted, they mixed up the rooms as well. The reception staff seemed so confused, it looked like they were only trying to handle the wedding group and that they were not at all bothered about the individual / leisure traveller. We have been to other bigger properties that handle groups much more effectively keeping leisure and group travellers distant, but things here werent very great. Only relief was the bar as we have some cocktails and bartender Aavi made us some good drinks.

I had a wonderful experience at hotel. The room decor was modern and stylish ,love the colour and texture. Room is spacious and clean.Hotel has good services.staff is friendly and food quality is best and enjoyed every meal.i am very Happy to chosen this
