Poseidon Villas

If you are thinking of booking here. Two words. DO IT! You will not be disappointed. Newly refurbished for 2024. Done to a very high standard. There is only one minus! That is the hill to get up to the hotel. But for €8 from the taxi rank in town, well worth it. Firstly, Maria on reception is a mine of helpful information. Then there is George and Nicos running the bar. Supported by Sophia the chef, who turns out some delicious meals. (We don't normally eat at a hotel) BUT the food Sophia produces is exceptional. And at a good price. Then the rooms, with a choice of room with a view, room with a jacuzzi, room with a plunge pool. All are top dollar. The pool is a good size with sunbeds, parasols, tables and chairs. All with probably the best views of Skiathos town and bay. I could go on and on but all I can say is if you are wondering where to stay. Stay here. You will not be disappointed.

Brilliant views, which make the walk up the hill well worth it. I can only endorse what other reviewers have said about the staff, they are so helpful and friendly. George behind the bar is a legend. The place is spotless and rooms are cleaned and beds made up every day. The air conditioning in the rooms is very good. Would definitely recommend and hopefully will stay again.

This is a great hotel. Reception staff are really helpful and available. George is a real gem on the bar and the food and drinks served are excellent and great value. Breakfast is good and has hot and cold food with a good variety. The newly refurbished studio rooms are beautiful. The rooms are cleaned and towels changed every day. The pool and bar area are equally clean and comfortable and relaxing with a great view and often very quiet due to the number of private pools. The view doesn't come for free though but its so worth it, but taking the back steps to the town gives the easiest access to Bus stop 4 area (this will make sense when you are there) and a short walk into the town via the main street of shops, down to the harbour area where all the restaurants and bars are. We did a boat trip to Skopelos for the day which included Lalaria beach, the church in Mamma Mia and Skopelos town. We only went for 4 days but I would definitely return for longer to make use of the bus to see different areas. I was surprised how reasonable it was to eat and drink out after the cost of getting there, but the prices are controlled so everywhere charges the same. 3xCoke = 9 euros, 3 meals and 3 soft drinks around 60 euros.

The hotel is welcoming and the reception team Nico and Maria are helpful and attentive. They are very knowledgeable and will give you great information about the island and the ferry’s to mainland Greece and the nearby island of Skipalos. The Hotel is high above Skiathos but only a 10 minute walk into the heart of the town and harbour with so many restaurants and shops. The views from the hotel are amazing, we were completely lost watching all the different boats and Yachts coming and going. We were staying in one of the older rooms which was very adequate and had our own great terrace with similar views. The restaurant and bar area served all the usual food and all freshly made, the Greek salad was a particular favourite to share with hubby, with bread and tzatziki sauce for a light lunch. We were out most nights but we’ve been assured by others guests the food was also great in the evening.

Fantastic view from pool and room. Room nothing like pictures very tired with steep stairs really need some TLC. But very clean,air con is a must as temperature hit 30.brilliant outlook to sea. Comfortable beds good fridge kettle and cooker if needed. Cleaned daily. The staff make this place working very long hours always with a smile and nothing is too much to do for guests. Excellent breakfast bacon eggs sausage or loads of cereal fruit cake and cake. All drinks. Great bar and food with fantastic views by pool. George is a legend and Nicos and Maria and other nicos all staff are brilliant all speak excellent English. food and drinks very reasonable prices at poolside. Really want too go back someday. Use the dirt track to go down its quicker !

Along with my partner & teenage daughter we stopped in one of the studios for a week. It was small in terms of storage space but we managed & the room was cleaned to a good standard with fresh towels every day. The staff are all lovely & very helpful, special mention for George, the single handed bartender, like all the staff he works very hard & always had a smile. Breakfast was lovely & also the food & drinks we had around pool. Pool area always clean, no issue with sunloungers & pool towels were provided by the hotel. The property is up a small hill but we soon got used to the walk & it’s worth it for the amazing sea views. The fourth time with have visited Skiathos & we love it. Will most certainly be returning & definitely to Posidien Villa’s. Would love to stop in one of the rooms with the outside pools. They look fantastic. Thanks to all at Posiden, you’re all amazing!

What a wonderful hotel! The views/rooms/service/food all top class. Many thanks to all the staff who were faultless 🥰. Do try the pool restaurant as all food is freshly cooked and served by the lovely George. Skiathos town is a short walk away with many good restaurants.

We had an amazing holiday! The view was stunning. All the staff were friendly & helpful, thank you to Nic, George & Sofia! Would definitely recommend this hotel. The food & drinks were great and it was lovely chilling by the pool area where there was always a sunbed

The Poseidon Villas location is beautiful with views across the sea and hills. The rooms are spotlessly clean, excellent kitchen equipment if you need it. The swimming pool is a good size and the sun beds are plentiful with a good bar where George works hard to not only serve drinks and food but makes you think that each day is ‘a good one’, the beautiful lady who prepares the food at the bar is called Sophia, this is done from scratch and is truly excellent. The two key people who really made everything run smoothly and calmly with laughter, smiles and kindness were Nikos and Maria who you meet when you arrive, they are so helpful not just to ensure you are happy with everything, but to help with information regarding the Island. Nothing is too much trouble for Maria and Nikos and this gives you confidence and calmness to enjoy your stay. This is the second year of staying at Poseidon Villas and we loved it. The breakfast is the best of anywhere we have stayed. Marinella bakes amazing cakes especially loved the peach or orange cake but my favourite was the zucchini and feta muffins. Yoghurt, fruit, excellent coffee as well as fresh fried eggs and bacon and so much more. We are back home in England but my memories of my stay at Poseidon Villas and the people there in lovely Skiathos are all so good. Thank you Poseidon staff.
