Pros: Great location on a pedestrian street across from a pretty park with lots of cafes and shops. Also close to other attractions within walking distance. The hotel was absolutely spotless in all areas that I visited. In the guest room, the sheets were ironed and the bed made up perfectly. Check in and check out were performed efficiently and professionally. Every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful. I requested a bathtub, and I got one. :-) My room (#311) faced the park, but was very quiet. The windows must be a sound-insulating type. The breakfast was part buffet style (coffee, juice, cereal, yogurt, sliced bread & a toaster oven, jelly, butter and other condiments) and part menu (eggs, meats & cheese, pastries, fruit, etc.) and was quite adequate to insure that you won’t walk away hungry. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room had a neutral smell—no dirty scents or perfumed scents. The window opened if you want fresh air. There is also a thermostat for cool or warm air conditioning. There is a restaurant on floor 1 with a bar and comfortable TV lounge. Also self-service coffee, tea and water available 24/7. Electrical outlets and light switches are conveniently located on each side of the bed just above the bedside table. There are comfy extra blankets folded inside a plastic bag on the top shelves of the closet. There is a safe for valuables, but I think you need to get the key from reception, and there may be a charge. The TV had a variety of channels, but seemed to be satellite rather than cable. Limited foreign languages. I saw German, Russian, English and French in addition to Spanish, but only a couple of each. I watched BBC News in English. In general, the Sercotel Principe Paz is an excellent value for the money. Cons: (The “cons” are not complaints, but only meant to be thorough and honest in order to help future guests and hotel management.) There is no passenger or luggage drop off area. You will need to walk at least half a block if you arrive by taxi, or farther if you drive and park your own car. There are several parking garages nearby where you can park for 24 hours for €6,95. The two and only elevators are very small (typical) and very slow, so you may have to wait some time for your turn, or else take the stairs. The water sprayer for the shower in the bathtub leaked. The bathroom mirror was a little rusty on the edges—nothing but a frame needed here. There was a crack in the porcelain lid of the toilet. There were no bags for sanitary napkin disposal. The wooden furniture in room 311 was dated and a little worn. The windows did not lock. There is no coffee machine, kettle, minibar or refrigerator in the room (but you can go to the buffet area on floor 1 and find coffee and some other goodies). There was no bottled water in the room. The poached eggs I ordered for breakfast were cold—very cold. I suppose they were precooked and refrigerated. The breakfast food in general,

Schönes Hotel mit großen Zimmern, sehr raffiniert eingerichtet. Sehr nettes Personal. Zentrale Lage, nur wenige Schritte von allen Komfort. Ich hatte Gelegenheit, das Frühstück zu probieren (mit der Wahl aus dem Menü) und ich bestätige, dass es von hervorragender Qualität ist. - Sehr gut.

Die Wohnung war ziemlich gut und hatte die Basis wie eine kleine Küche, Waschmaschine, etc. Es könnte definitiv einige Renovierungen nutzen, aber insgesamt war alles in Ordnung. Ich war auf dem 8. Stock und die Aussicht vom Balkon war wirklich schön. Es gibt auch eine Dachterrasse, die groß ist. Lage ist gut, Sie können leicht zu dem Bauernmarkt und Stadtzentrum gehen, und es gibt auch eine Busshalte vor dem Gebäude.

Tolles Business Hotel mit sehr schönen geräumigen Zimmern und Balkon. Es liegt etwas außerhalb, aber die Innenstadt ist fußläufig gut erreichbar. Eine Garage ist bei Bedarf (kostenpflichtig) vorhanden. Das absolute Highlight ist jedoch das Frühstück und das dort beschäftigte, sehr freundlich Personal. Tolle Auswahl, frische Angebote und ein schöner Raum mit Fenstern (in dieser Klasse in Spanien leider nicht die Regel) laden zu einem schönen Frühstück ein – hoffentlich mit ausreichend Zeit, falls doch zu Business-Zwecken unterwegs.

Insgesamt ein Hotel 10! Aufgrund der zentralen Lage ist das Parken schwierig, wir empfehlen eine Parkplatzreservierung für 8 €/Tag. Das Frühstück war zweifellos das Beste und das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Wir waren als Pärchen 9 Tage im Iberostar Grand Mencey zu Gast. Das Hotel liegt zentral direkt an der Rambla in Santa Cruz und ist mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Als Parkmöglichkeit kann man bequem für 10,00 EUR pro Tag die angrenzende Tiefgarage nutzen. Dieses empfehlen wir sehr, da das parken dort sehr gut und sicher möglich war und in der Nähe des Hotels ansonsten nur schwer ein Parkplatz zu finden ist. An der Rezeption wurden wir von einem sehr netten und kompetenten deutschsprachigen Mitarbeiter (DANKE Marcel) empfangen, der uns freundlicherweise ein faires Zimmerupgrade ermöglicht hat. Gegen einen geringen Aufpreis haben wir ein wirklich schönes Zimmer mit Balkon erhalten. Weiterhin durften wir einen Tag kostenlos das SPA-Angebot nutzen. Darüber hinaus haben wir eine Käseplatte erhalten. Ein wirklich super lohnenswertes Angebot des Hotels. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und geräumig, sauber und hatte zwei Balkone. Kleiner Nachteil am Zimmer war, dass der Badbereich nicht durch eine Tür abgetrennt vom Hauptzimmer war. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine kostenlose Flasche Wasser, welche man auf dem Flur selbstständig jederzeit kostenfrei wieder auffüllen konnte. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und es gab eine große Auswahl an Speisen. Insbesondere der ”süße Bereich” war sehr lecker. Eier in allen Formen konnten beim Service bestellt werden. Zusätzlich hat uns der leckere frische Smoothie jeden Morgen sehr erfreut. Über das hoteleigene Restaurant können wir keine Wertung abgeben, da wir nur unser Zimmer mit Frühstück gebucht haben. In unseren Augen völlig ausreichend, da es in der Umgebung viele gute Restaurants, Bars bzw. Tapas-Bars gibt. Auch hier hat uns Marcel von der Rezeption sehr gute Tipps zum Ausgehen gegeben. Jeder sollte in Santa Cruz was für seinen Geschmack finden. Der Pool des Hotels war sehr schön zum Relaxen und gepflegt. Der Pool war in einer sehr schönen Gartenanlage eingebettet. Einen Stern Abzug müssen wir aber doch geben. Teilweise wirkte das Personal manchmal ein wenig überfordert mit der Arbeit. Alle Mitarbeitenden waren immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend, aber durch teilweise fehlende Englischkenntnisse war mit einigen Mitarbeitenden die Kommunikation schwierig, wodurch es zu Missverständnissen kam. Z.B. wurde die von uns am Vortag bestellte Käseplatte erst nach mehrmaligen Rückfragen aufs Zimmer geliefert und die Zimmerabrechnung zunächst irrtümlich falsch berechnet. Zum Glück war hier der deutschsprachige Mitarbeiter Marcel unsere Rettung: Er hat die Probleme zu unserer Zufriedenheit gelöst. Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass Santa Cruz allgemein kein starker Touristenort ist und man mitten im spanischen Flair seinen Urlaub verbringt. Das war aber auch genau das, was wir wollten. Außerdem haben wir uns das SPA wesentlich besser vorgestellt. Hier sollte man nicht von deutschen Standards ausgehen. Das SPA besteht in großen Teilen aus einem Hallenbad mit Massagedrüsen und zwei kleinen Saunen. Nichts aufregendes, was man jeden

Our airline cancelled our flight from Tenerife South Airport at the last minute, and rerouted us via the North airport the next day and we had to very quickly book our own accommodation for the night. Booked through Bookings.com pretty much based on proximity to the airport as we had a very early flight the next day. After all the stress of the day the reception staff were lovely and welcoming. Our room was massive and well equipped. We eat at the hotel and it was good and also very reasonable. Due to the early flight and the clocks going forward we were a little anxious that we would set our alarms incorrectly or they wouldn’t update overnight. The night receptionist said he would do a walk up call for us and also would have a grab bag for breakfast waiting for us, as well as organising a taxi. The call happened and the breakfast bag was waiting for us with the Taxi. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and made what was a very stressful time very pleasant, thank you.
