Everything was ok, despite an incident in the last days. On the second last day, I left my wallet at the hotel, inside my bag, which was inside the closet, to go on a tour. When I returned back home and did my financial balance, I realized that 100 Euros were missing from my wallet. I want to make it clear that I write knowing that the guests' property is their responsibility, however, as I went out that day to hike a volcano, I thought it would be safer to keep my wallet in the room, since I wasn't using cash in Atacama, only credit card. I am writing to report what happened so that you can be aware of possible incidents at the hotel. I understand that individual actions do not reflect a company and the whole crew, but I tried to contact the hotel later and I didn't receive any sort of explanation. I checked on Booking and there's another comment about theft. The other guest was there last month as well.

My husband and I stayed at The Desertica for 8 nights for our 10th wedding anniversary, and we were so grateful we chose this hotel. It really is a total sanctuary, right in the centre of San Pedro. The rooms, pool area and restaurant area are decorated beautifully and everything is kept so clean. The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained, and the breakfasts and afternoon/evening food was really delicious. We loved that a little chocolate was placed on our pillow in the evening, and that the fire in the room was lit when we came home from an all day trip. On our last evening, we came back to our room to find a lovely little handmade Patcha Mama gift on our bed, which we just loved. Thankyou to all of the staff at The Desertica for creating and maintaining this little piece of heaven in the Atacama Desert, we will cherish our memories made here. Craig and Lisa Turner.

Great place to stay, very cozy and quiet. Service and staff were very kind. Our overall rating would be about a 4.6 out of 5. The food at the restaurant is great. In terms of minor details, we didn't like that the bathroom and shower did not have separate doors. They are connected, but does't feel very private. Water gets out of the shower since there is no shower door. Lighting inside the rooms was also quite low. There were saunas and hot tubs, but the saunas were not on when we tried to use them, and the sauna was cold. Other than those minor details, the place is very nice and recommendable. The premium room has a hot tub inside and it is a wonderful experience. It is in a very central location, close to the Main Street of the pueblo.

Ein superschöner kleiner Ferienort, in dem viele europäische und amerikanische Touristen leben. Das Hotel verfügt über komplette Einrichtungen, reichhaltiges Frühstück und das kleine Reisebüro und das Restaurant sind sehr gut, und Sie können einen Tag bleiben, ohne auszugehen. Alle halbe Stunde fährt ein Auto ins Stadtzentrum. Nachts ist es wirklich erstaunlich, die Nachtszene im Hof zu betrachten, um den Sternenhimmel zu sehen. Die Sterne am Himmel sind super schön. Ich habe noch nie einen so schönen Sternenhimmel gesehen, nachdem ich Dutzende von Ländern bereist habe. Das markanteste Hotel auf dieser Südamerikareise, sehr zu empfehlen!

It's a perfect place to start when visiting San Pedro. The Hotel has an amazing location, close to the main street. The staff was always very nice and friendly and the rooms were good and comfortable. The staff always packed breakfast for us when we had a super early tour. I'd definitely recommend it.
