What an incredible surprise! I booked this hotel as I was attending Eurovision in Turin. Hotels were getting booked up fast and so I booked Hotel Glis without doing much research. I booked a superior double room. Due to a change of plan, I had to change the booking from a double to twin room and contacted the hotel directly to do this, it was not an issue and this was sorted quickly. On arrival, the staff at reception were friendly and so welcoming. Nothing was too much. Every communication I had with reception was helpful, efficient and just really positive. Breakfast was great and of a really good quality. The room was so much nicer than I was expecting - I was expecting the photos on some trip advisor reviews, a bit dated looking (sorry!), but opening the door I was so blown away by the quality and standard of the decor. My dad was worried he wouldn’t be able to make tea/coffee but there was a kettle in the room and a fridge with complimentary water! We also paid for the “mini fridge top up” on two days and got cans of pop, snacks, etc. This was really great. The hotel booked our taxi to the airport on departure day and this arrived with no issues. We encountered several different staff members and they were all so pleasant and so helpful. Our room was cleaned and fresh towers were left every day of our stay - this felt luxury compared to the UK! We were a little concerned about the ease of getting around to/from central Turin to this hotel, as it does feel more geared at the “out of city” business travellers, conference attendees etc., however we paid for a 72 hour bus ticket for €10 each which allowed us to get on as many buses and trams as we wanted for 72 hours, and using the app “CityMapper”, figured out that if we get the 49 and then 8 bus, it was super easy to travel in/out of Turin. It took around 25/30 mins dependent on traffic. Overall, this hotel was the most wonderful surprise and we will definitely return here on our next trip to Turin. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung (Cafeteria), Sicherheitsprobleme sind machbar und es ist auch ein kooperativer Studentenwohnheim von drei lokalen Universitäten. Ich bin ein lokaler internationaler Student, ein anständiges Hotel, das für eine Unterkunft geeignet ist, und die Straßenbahn Nr. 4 führt direkt in die Innenstadt.

Mein 16-jähriger Sohn hat leider seinen Pass auf dem Front-Zähler verlassen, als er auscheckte. Etwa 11 Tage später erkannte er, dass es fehlte! Das war auf seinem Weg zum Flughafen München mit seinem Team, um seinen Flug nach Hause zu bekommen. Panik!! Ich habe das Hotel angerufen und sie bestätigten seine Erinnerung. Ich fragte, ob sie diesen Pass über DHL (oder Fedex) an sein Flughafenhotel in München schicken könnten und ich würde ihnen jetzt bezahlen, was es dauerte. Sie konnten das nicht tun, was ich gesagt hatte, es war gegen ihre Politik. Ich buchte DHL, um den Pass aufzuholen, sie sagten, sie könnten, und ging es aufzuholen und zuerst die Hotelgebühr zu fordern, das trotz unserer Buchung, dass die Gebühr von unserem Sohn gezahlt werden würde. DHL hat jetzt abgelehnt. Es ist jetzt Freitag Nachmittag, Fedex konnte nicht vor dem Wochenende aufholen, so mein Sohn war für das Wochenende im Münchener Flughafen Hotel gefangen, bis wir in der nächsten Woche alternative Vereinbarungen machen konnten. Ich habe das Record Hotel mindestens 6 Mal angerufen und mit ihnen gebeten, einen 16-jährigen Stab in einem Hotel selbst zu helfen, ich habe wiederholt gebeten, mit dem Generalmanager zu sprechen, der über 3 Tage meine Anrufe nie verfügbar war. Nach 6 Tagen/Nacht erhielt mein Sohn seinen Pass über Fedex, von uns selbst organisiert, Mein einziger Kompliment zum Record Hotel ist, dass Fabio, der Front Office Manager sehr hilfreich war, aber er war gebunden von den Regeln seines Arbeitgebers nicht zu helfen. Warum hätten sie nicht vor 11 Tagen unseren Sohns Team Manager angerufen, um zu sagen, dass es einen 16-year-olds Pass hinterlassen, wäre eine stressfreie Lösung.

Ideale Lage, tolles Hotel, freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, grosses Zimmer, grosszügiges Frühstücksbuffet im schönen Frühstücksraum. Shopping und Restaurants in Gehdistanz. Alles gesagt, dies ist nur noch ein Füller, damit ich auf die von TripAdvisor geforderten 200 Zeichen komme ;-)

Ich habe das letzte Mal in diesem Hotel reserviert und kann sagen, es ist fantastisch, das Innenraum ist modern und farbig. Es hat auch eine Schule, die Bar und Studio-Zonen für Studenten. Eine gute Alternative und ruhige Ort, um sich konzentrieren zu können ohne Probleme! Zimmer mit Fenster auf dem siebten Stock, wirklich schönes Aussicht am Abend mit dem Fluss. Sie können auch sehen Netflix, dass in vielen nicht modernen Hotels ist unmöglich. Fantastisch, wirklich nur für dieses Details verdienen sie sehr viel. Das Bad ist sehr sauber und sie geben Ihnen Wasser, Kaffee und Tee zu Ehren.

Premetto che è stata la prima volta che ho alloggiato in un ostello, quindi non ho termini di paragone per valutarlo nel suo genere e forse avevo aspettative troppo elevate... Ad ogni modo procedo con la recensione... La struttura è molto particolare, molto ”urban style”, l'ambiente è giovanile e informale. Lo staff è giovane e amichevole, ma forse un po' inesperto: considerato che comunque forniscono un servizio alberghiero a pagamento, mi aspetto professionalità. Noi abbiamo prenotato una quadrupla ad uso privato per la nostra famiglia, con due bagni piccolissimi e senza bidet (grosso handicap, ma lo sapevo sin dall'inizio). I letti erano comodi, l'arredo essenziale. Pulizia buona. Per il deposito bagagli sono disponibili degli armadi, ma devi avere il tuo lucchetto, sennò te ne vendono uno alla reception a prezzo di costo: non so se negli ostelli si usi così, ma il deposito bagagli è veramente un servizio minimo basilare, mi aspettavo che fosse ”completo”. La colazione è stata veramente minimal, a fronte di un prezzo piuttosto alto. Tra l'altro, per un fraintendimento in sede di prenotazione, avevo capito che la colazione fosse compresa nel prezzo, quindi è stata una brutta sorpresa aver dovuto aggiungere altri € 27,00 al giorno per fare colazione in loco, considerato anche che il prezzo della stanza già non era stracciato (però, a onor del vero, siamo andati in occasione di un ponte, ci poteva stare che il prezzo della camera fosse superiore alla media). L'errore sulla colazione inclusa/non inclusa è stato mio, però rileggendo la corrispondenza con lo staff dell'ostello, secondo me si capiva che avevo preso un abbaglio, quindi avrei gradito essere corretta subito... Per il resto posso dire che la struttura è comodissima per il centro storico e per i mezzi pubblici. Nei dintorni c'è molta scelta per pranzo e cena. C'è comunque anche il ristorante interno. Per i pochi giorni di permanenza il Combo ha fatto il suo dovere ed è stata una soluzione funzionale. Se non si hanno troppe pretese e si cerca giusto un posto per pernottare, questo ostello è una struttura strategica per la visita alla bella città di Torino.

Super freundliches Personal. Auch eine Auszubildende, die jederzeit hilfsbereit und aktiv ist. Wir wünschen ihr bei ihrer Ausbildung viel Erfolg Zimmer immer super sauber. Frühstück famous. Nur wäre es schön, wenn die 2. Kaffeemaschine auch funktionieren würde😊

Wir hatten ursprünglich drei Nächte gebucht und waren voller Erwartungen nach Turin gereist. Nach der Ankunft am Hotel, welches schon mit dem Navi nicht leicht zu finden war, war der CheckIn unproblematisch und flott. Man muss schon sagen, die Architektur dieses Hotels ist spektakulär und wurde auch so umgesetzt. Man verwendete die alte Industriestruktur der FIAT Fabrik als Rumpf und baute mit freitragenden Geschossen ein Hotel ein. Der Kern des Gebäudes ist offen und wird durch ein durchgehendes Glasdach abgeschlossen. Auch die Lifte sind aus Glas, nicht alltäglich, muss man sagen. Aber das war`s dann auch schon mit den positiven Eindrücken. Das Zimmer war renovierungsbedürftig mit einem fleckigen Teppichboden, völlig durchgelegenen Betten und auch im Bad fand man undefinierbare Flecken am Boden. Die Klimaanlage war nicht zu justieren und nur mit dem Öffnen des Fensters abzuschalten. Das ist allerdings auf Grund der Lärmkulisse einer Großstadt nicht zu empfehlen. Somit ist es sehr kühl und laut im Raum. Da sich unsere Reisepläne kurzfristig änderten, fragte ich bei der Rezeption nach, ob wir unseren Aufenthalt auf eine Nacht verkürzen könnten. Da war es mit der Freundlichkeit an der Rezeption ganz schnell vorbei. Man müsse die Managerin fragen, studierte minutenlang den Computermonitor und telefonierte weitere Minuten mit irgendwem. Dann wurde mir zugesichert, das gehe in Ordnung. Am nächsten Morgen, nach einem überschaubaren Frühstück, kam dann doch die Überraschung: Nein, so geht das nicht, ich habe zwei Nächte zu bezahlen. Auf meine Reklamation hin wurde wieder minutenlang der Computer studiert, nun zu zweit, diskutiert (auf Italienisch, das war aber schnell beendet, als ich die Herrschaften über meine Italienischkenntnisse informierte) und natürlich wieder telefoniert. Ergebnis: Nein, ich habe zwei Nächte zu bezahlen, da ich die Cancellation Policy nicht eingehalten habe (Storno bis 23:59 Uhr - ich hatte mich um ca. 19:00 Uhr an die Rezeption gewandt). Alles in Allem wird man uns dort nicht mehr wieder sehen!
