Hyatt Place St Petersburg/Downtown

The room looks a little bit dark, the bathroom and swimming pool is not perfectly cleaned. Yet, the location, service from the staff, and the gym are excellent.

Hotel overbooked. Booked a single king. Got a double queen. They acted like they did me a favor because i received a room. For $600/night?! Yeah never again.

Another plus is that the hotel is in walking distance to museums and other cultural activities. The only thing I would suggest is that perhaps more housekeepers are needed It was clear that they work very hard, but my room was not serviced twice. Despite that, I would definitely stay at the Hyatt Place Downtown again.

Hotel was beautiful and in a great spot. Continental breakfast was very good, Starbucks right across the street. Would stay again!

Great location to see a show at the Mahaffey Center, and after we walked across the street to a fun 70’s club. Nice hotel as well.

Overall, the property was clean, quiet and staff friendly but it wasn't anything special. At this price point I was expecting more. Best part is its location. Easily walkable to restaurants, the waterfront, The Dali Museum, The Chihuly Museum, the Saturday farmer's market, and many other attractions. We had a large room with more than enough space but it felt like it needed some "warmth". There is no body lotion or shower cap in the room so be sure to bring your own. We could not access our streaming channels from the room. Rooms do have a safe, microwave, and refrigerator. The lobby also has a "coldness" about it. Paid parking is on property but we felt like it should have been complimentary. Breakfast is complimentary but everything was dry and overcooked. There was nothing bad about the property but there was also nothing great about it. I would definitely try somewhere different next visit.

Our room was spacious and clean. The fitness area was very well equipped, also spacious with a nice view. Location of the hotel was right downtown, very convenient to many attractions and restaurants. We enjoyed the included breakfast buffet, especially the coffee which was very hot! Our housekeeper was very thorough and friendly. I would definitely stay at the Hyatt next time I am in St. Petersburg.
