My husband wanted somewhere French provincial to stay, and this couldn’t have been more perfect! Right in the centre of saint emilion directly opposite a winery that was the place to be on a Friday night. Large original room, comfortable bed, modern bathroom. Everything was brilliant. We didn’t want to leave. We will be back and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. Thank you Valerie for a wonderful experience!

Usually, when you stay in an Ibis you know what you are going to get. A no frills room with a comfy bed and decent service. Ibis St Emilion falls below standard. The room whilst clean was tiny, hardly room to even put down my dogs bed, the service from reception was terrible, receptionist was sitting at a table eating burger and chips whilst people were waiting to check in. She told us she couldnt get us a drink from the bar as it was closed until 7pm but then she served some French people before 7 without any problem. The restaurant attached to the hotel was from the La Boucherie chain and the service in there and the food was excellent. Parking was ample & free, dogs accepted at a charge of €5 a night Would I stay again, no. There are better Ibis hotels than this one.

The place is in town, close to the cloister, getting high marks for location. It is a 2* property so charm is not a word that comes to mind. It had no bottled water nor coffee making facilities. Staff was helpful. The rooms are on the first and second floor [2d and 3d for North Americans] but there is an elevator. Thee was a companion wing across the road. It was in a quiet area. The room size was fine. There was individual soap and a squeeze bottle in the shower for hair/body wash. My sleep was not good but I do not heavy duvets. The brekkie was on the main floor, costing c 10 euros. It was good The wifi was not password protected. It was annoying it had to be reset every time the computer was shut off. If you need more from a hotel there are other options in town. If you just need a room to tour some of the wineries, it is okay to fine.

Fantastique! We did not book this hotel. It was part of a vineyard walking tour package and we were very happily surprised when the taxi dropped us. It's located perfectly in the heart of St Emilion. Surrounded by medieval buildings and history, we were warmly welcomed into a clean lined and modern interior. On arrival we were given a lot of useful local information before being shown to our beautifully presented room; light and roomy, with a king bed, crisp linen sheets and a pristine ensuite, it ticked all the boxes for us. The hotel also provided daily breakfasts (eggs to order) that were hearty and set us up for our walks. While the town, with its local sites (including the largest underground medieval church in Europe and a specialist wineshop on every corner) and its surrounding vineyards are destinations in themselves, the Badon is a nestled gem in the heart of the action with outstanding service and attention to detail. Highly recommended and we will be back!

Um Mittags ankommen, wurde gesagt, dass die Zimmer nicht bereit sein werden bis 3.00 Uhr, trotz der Anfrage um eine frühe Eincheckung (was ein Vorteil ist, wenn Sie über Hyatt buchen), so dass wir herausgefunden haben, dass wir etwas Zeit im Spa und Pool verbringen. Spa Erfahrung war ein Mist. Die Mitarbeiter wiesen uns auf die Umtauschzimmer, aber aus irgendeinem Grund nicht die Badewanne und Slips. Sie mussten zurück zum Vordertisch, um einige zu fragen. Umtauschzimmer hatten keine Haartrockner, so mussten Sie wieder auf die Rezeption mit dem nassen Haar gehen und um eine fragen. Das Zimmer war geräumig und hatte ein eigenes Badezimmer und Toilette, die Toilettenwände hatten Form - nicht sicher, wie das in einem luxuriösen Hotel erlaubt werden konnte. Wir waren hier, um einen Geburtstag zu feiern - in einem solchen Hotel gab es ein sehr großzügiges (Natürlich nicht) Willkommensgeschenk von einer Postkarte (wow!) und einige unverpackte (krank!) Schokolade, für die weder ein Frontdesk, Nicht, dass ich wirklich etwas erwartet habe, aber angesichts der Tatsache, dass wir im Herzen der Weinbaufläche sind, würde man denken, eine Flasche Wein wäre ein schöner Touch, aber nein. Wir hatten ein Frühstück (wieder als Teil der Vereinbarung für die Buchung über Hyatt) auf der Terrasse. Auswahl war von guter Qualität, aber ziemlich begrenzt. Parkplatz war kostenlos.
