We booked our stay just a few days before arriving - myself, my husband, and our 13 year old twin boys. We arrived at the hotel around 9am, only to be informed that our room wouldn't be ready until 2pm and our all inclusive package wouldn't start until we had our room. This was disappointing, especially as we were scheduled to leave at 7am on our departure day. We left our suitcases in a locked room and headed to the pool area. Fortunately, I had packed the boys swim shorts and towels in their hand luggage, so they were able to jump straight in the pool. To pass time, we decided to head to the beach, but we couldn't access it as a room key was required. We finally received our room key just before 2pm. Our holiday wasn't off to the best start! The room itself was very clean and spacious enough for the for of us, with a limited pool view since we were towards the end of the block. The air con was good and the beds were comfortable. The shower was nice too. The hotel is predominantly Spanish (95% of the guests) Some of the entertainment team could speak little English, others none at all, and two of them spoke English well. The entertainment team were good, but you had to approach them to participate - they wouldn't invite you to join in. The evening entertainment was entirely Spanish. I thought the shows were good, particularly ”The Lion King” however my husband and sons didn't rate the evening entertainment highly. They did enjoy the daytime games once they included themselves and were able to join in. The majority of the staff spoke little English, making communication difficult. The all inclusive wasn't clearly explained; we had to figure it out on our own. The food in the restaurant was excellent - probably the best I've experienced at an all-inclusive. There was a good variety without being overwhelming. I'm vegetarian, my husband and sons are not, and we all enjoyed the food without any upset stomachs. There were plenty of salads, pasta, meats and fish. Special mention goes to one of the waiters, Alonso, who was fantastic with the boys and made us feel very welcome in the restaurant throughout our stay. The drink selection was also very good, branded spirits, bottled beers, nice wine in restaurant and slushies. The hotel was extremely clean - the staff work hard to ensure rooms, pool area, toilets and bars are kept very clean. There were no wasps, which I found a huge bonus. No trouble finding sunbeds, got them in our preferred spot everyday. The hotel could do with some TLC; there were a few broken tiles in and around the pool area. However the pool is amazing - perfect temperature, very large and deep, with relaxing water features. We had the pool to ourselves between 2-4pm as all the Spanish guests disappeared during that time. My husband was very disappointed to learn the beach bar/restaurant wasn't included in the all-Inclusive package. Been using this hotel for 25+ years, now go twice a year. Very Spanish, 90% occupancy from Spain, so if you don’t like noisy chaotic people don’t go. If you like traditional and authentic Spanish hospitality, food and friendliness then this is place for you. Clean, good facilities, beach front location, very good local bars. Tapas bars and restaurants, just enough shops. Miles of flat promenade to enjoy long walks. The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming, not my cup of tea but lots and lots of activities for children and adults.

POSITIVES The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and as we arrived a little early they directed us to the poolside bar to wait whilst the room was prepared. Once ready, we discovered that the room was clean and well-maintained with powerful aircon and comfy beds. The bathroom contained lots of towels and a range of free toiletries. The kitchen had a working fridge and microwave and the balcony had a terrific view of the pool and beach. The poolside bar serves a small portion of free tapas when you order a round of drinks. The price of 1 large beer or a tinto de verano with 3 soft drinks was less than £8 which is incredible. The tapas was tasty as well. There are a range of shops, cafes and bars around the hotel and beach access is literally across the path at the rear of the hotel. The pool area was clean and well-maintained and the water slide was good fun for the children. You never had to fight to get sun loungers as there was plenty of space. The restaurant (we had breakfast and evening meal included) served a wide range of foods, and the breakfast includes pancakes, cereals, continental style and pastries along with unlimited hot drinks. It was clean and the service was friendly and prompt. LESS POSITIVE This hotel is a destination for Spanish people to go on holiday, so most of what is in place does not cater to those looking for a Spanish holiday ‘for Brits’. This isn’t as much a problem for me as I love Spanish culture, but many of the staff did not speak English and the Animacion team provided all their entertainment in Spanish which might leave British children a little left out, although ours were able to join in with party dances and the late night pool party. The evening meals in the restaurant were predominantly local dishes geared heavily to seafood and the like. I’ll eat anything but my wife is a fussy eater and if you or your family like to eat nuggets and roast dinners you will not find that available here. My children found there was always one thing they would eat but weren’t spoilt for choice. The room decor is a little dated but who really cares when it’s just a base and you should be out at the beach or by the pool anyway! NEGATIVE The poolside bar does not provide any kind of snack provision such as chips and sandwiches as the tapas and drinks are served from a high end restaurant. This was disappointing as we like to enjoy a beer and some chips by the pool for our lunch. The language barrier with our waitress meant we’d asked for a menu which there was no point receiving as we couldn’t order food to be delivered poolside anyway, but she wasn’t really able to communicate this with us and we sat their waiting for an order we never could have had. But again, we should be learning to speak Spanish better! I’m not entirely sure LoveHolidays researched whether this hotel is suitable for Brits wanting the ‘Brits abroad’ experience so if you want that you’re best sticking to Salou or Benidorm. Eine Betonhölle direkt am Strand. Zimmer sind eine Frechheit. Mitarbeiter super. Niveauarmes Level für Pauschaltourismus. Bei einer Buchung in dieser Gegend, ist man sich dessen vorab schon bewusst. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sicher passabel. Lage: Direkt am Strand in Las Marinas, in einer sehr ruhigen Umgebung. Nur einer von vielen Betonklötzen. Hotel: Eine Hölle aus Beton und Wellblech türmt sich zu sieben Etage aufeinander auf. Alles versprüht den Charme der 70er Jahre. Der Check-In war super freundlich und zügig. Zimmer: Zimmer in der obersten Etage (7. Etage) gebucht (entsprechend mehr bezahlt), Standardzimmer in der sechsten Etage erhalten. Die Zimmer sind eine Frechheit. Stark renovierungsbedürftig und vergammelt. Neben kaputten Fliesenböden, finden sich verschmierte Wände, durchgelegene Betten, versiffte Balkonplastikmöbel, dreckige Böden und ein widerliches Sofa, unter welchem seit Jahren niemand mehr geputzt hat. Das Bad wurde wahrscheinlich irgendwann mal renoviert und ist eigentlich recht sauber; hat jedoch überall erneuten Renovierungsbedarf. Warum ein Bad mit Glasbausteinen als Fenster in den Hotelflur existiert, braucht man hier gar nicht mehr zu hinterfragen. Hier gilt ganz klar: Das, was man auf der Website bucht, braucht man nicht mal ansatzweise zu erwarten. Frühstück: Obligatorisch minderwertiger Kram, serviert in Buffetform in einer bahnhofsähnlichen Halle. Brot- und Gebäckauswahl waren gut. Große Auswahl an Wurst, Käse, Marmeladen, Früchte und Obst. Säfte nicht zu identifizieren. Sauber gemacht wurde nur bedingt. Tassen, Gläser, Teller und Besteck musste man durchaus mehrmals tauschen, bevor man mal ein sauberes Teil fand. Man ist sich vorab durchaus darüber im Klaren, was und wo man da bucht. Dennoch sollten die Zimmer für den aufgerufenen Preis wenigstens irgendwie in Ordnung sein und man sollte auch das erhalten, was man bucht.

Die Fotos machen ihm nicht gerecht. Wir haben die Wohnung von 2 Zimmern gewählt und überrascht uns ihre Größe, ihre Reinigung und eine große Terrasse, die auf dem Meer lief. Ganz richtig, weil wir die Reservierung nur 15 Tage vorgenommen haben. Trotz der Fülle, es war sehr ruhig atmet und der Strand ist nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Es ist sehr gut gelegen, in der Umgebung gibt es Restaurants, Geschäfte und eine Marinetour mit einigen Bars. Die Parkplätze sind schrecklich, weniger schlecht als die Wohnungen mit Privatparkplatz. Ich empfehle es und wir werden zurückkommen.
