Das Zimmer ist super groß und es gibt einen kostenlosen Flughafentransfer. Ich habe es wegen der kostenlosen Abholung vom Flughafen gebucht. Das liegt daran, dass mein Partner und ich verschiedene Flüge unternommen haben und sie auch sehr nett waren. Wir fragen im Voraus nach, also haben Sie keine Erwartungen an das Frühstück.

I would definitely stay here again. The staff are amazing and service provided by the staff is impeccable. They make everything that you need possible. Quenie is especially so warm and amazing, Sunny the security guard is great as well. I didn’t have a chance to interact much with their staff however these two are definitely your go to people .

This hotel is in an excellent location, right next to the airport, which makes it incredibly convenient for travelers. They offer a free shuttle to the airport, which was very helpful. The breakfast was also decent, with enough variety to start the day well.
Although my check-in experience wasn’t perfect, the staff handled it as best they could. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived, and since the hotel was fully booked, I didn’t get the twin room I had reserved. However, they were quick to accommodate my family by adding an extra bed for the kids, which made the situation more manageable.
Overall, the location, amenities, and helpful staff make this hotel a solid choice for airport travelers. With a little improvement in managing bookings, it would be even better.

Hatte die beste Zeit im The Funny Lion! Sie stellten kostenlose Flughafentransfers und Fahrräder zur Verfügung, was das Herumkommen so bequem machte. Das Personal half uns, Touren und Anmietungen zu buchen, sodass unsere Reise problemlos verlief. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir mit kostenlosen Tragetaschen, Getränken, Kaffee und Obst begrüßt. Die Auswahl an kostenlosen Fruchtgetränken war eine nette Geste. Sie sind SUPER zuvorkommend. Ein großes Lob an Desiree und ihren Geschäftsführer Mike. Und besonders an Livia, die über WhatsApp mit mir in Kontakt stand. Sie hat alles im Griff.
Obwohl das Essen etwas teuer ist, war das 999-Samstags-Abendessen-Buffet es absolut wert. Unser Zimmer war tadellos sauber und hatte das bequemste Bett und die bequemsten Kissen. Das Badezimmer war geräumig, sehr sauber und hatte einen ausgezeichneten Wasserdruck. Wir schätzten das Bidet und die vielen Handtücher. Die friedliche Atmosphäre machte unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer.
Sie gaben uns beim Auschecken auch kostenlose Kekse und Freundschaftsbänder und brachten uns sogar zum Flughafen. Als Erstbesucher in Palawan bescherte uns The Funny Lion den besten Urlaub aller Zeiten. Sehr zu empfehlen!

The room was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near the mall and restaurants, which made our stay more enjoyable. The WiFi was fast and reliable, a big plus for anyone who needs to stay connected.
However, there was no access to cold drinking water, only room temperature, and the two complimentary bottles provided were insufficient. While you can request more, the service can be slow at times, which is inconvenient when you need water quickly. A cold water dispenser or more readily available bottles would greatly improve the experience.

While the service at City State Asturias Hotel was commendable, with attentive assistance from the moment of arrival to reaching our room, there were some areas that fell short. The buffet offered limited choices, which was disappointing. Additionally, our room's toilet bathtub was faulty, and despite requesting service, it was not fixed during our stay. Nevertheless, these issues did not significantly impact our overall experience, and we still found our stay to be satisfactory.

Sieht von außen sehr schön aus. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Hotelpersonal sehr hilfsbereit. Geliehener Fön und Steckeradapter und das Personal scheint immer hilfsbereit zu sein. Ein Nachteil waren fleckige Bettwäsche und Handtücher.

Ich war auf unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel freuen, leider habe ich vielleicht jx meine Erwartungen hoch gesetzt. Die Mitarbeiter sind höflich und freundlich. Das Frühstück war ok. Das Zimmer war nicht wie erwartet , ich war ein bisschen enttäuscht. Aber ich war zu müde, um sich zu beschweren. Obwohl das Zimmer sauber aussieht, hat es einen schrecklichen alten Geruch, der mich sehr viel schneidet. 🤧

Costa Palawan ist eine große Anlage und befindet sich ca 3 km vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Vor dem Hotel warten stets tricycles auf Passagiere.
Der Besitzer ist Chinese und daher gab es während meines Aufenthalts auch einen Drachentanz zu Chinesisch Neujahr.
Ich hatte ein Zimmer der mittleren Kategorie, dennoch waren Fahrrad- und Kajakausleihe inklusive. Daneben auch Transfers vom und zum Flughafen zurück.
Frühstück hatte ich auch gebucht und das Buffet war gut und ausgewogen.
Neben dem Strand bietet das Hotel zwei Pools, ein Fitnessstudio sowie ein Restaurant und Massagen direkt am Beach an. Auch je Pool eine Bar.
Vor dem Hotel, an der Straße nach PP, befinden sich diverse Shops und Ausflüge in die Hauptstadt (Strandpromenade) rentieren sich sowieso.

Der unglückliche Teil ist, dass ich den unterirdischen Fluss nicht sehen konnte, weil das der einzige Grund war, warum ich ursprünglich dort war. Sie haben mich während meines Aufenthalts unterhalten und die Mahlzeiten und Getränke waren fantastisch. Freundliches Personal und cooler Pool mit schönem Meerblick und Lichtern und Musik auch nachts.

Beginnen wir mit den positiven Aspekten. Der Preis dieses Hotels ist wirklich lobenswert und bietet ein außergewöhnliches Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich brauchte aufgrund einer späten Ankunft am Flughafen kurzfristig eine Unterkunft und das Holiday Suites Palawan erwies sich als die perfekte Lösung. Das Zimmer, das ich für einen kleinen Preis bekam, übertraf meine Erwartungen in Bezug auf Komfort und Entspannung.
Ein bemerkenswertes Highlight ist die strategische Lage des Hotels gleich außerhalb von Robinsons Place Palawan. Dank dieser Bequemlichkeit konnte ich problemlos und ohne Probleme Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants erreichen. Die Nähe zum Flughafen trägt zusätzlich zur Attraktivität des Hotels bei und macht es zu einer praktischen Wahl für Reisende, die spät ankommen oder früh abreisen.
Kommen wir nun zu den kleineren Nachteilen. Mir fiel auf, dass im Zimmer kein Löffel vorhanden war, obwohl Besteck und kostenloser Kaffee vorhanden waren. Darüber hinaus hatte der Kühlschrank im Zimmer ein kleines Problem damit, richtig zu schließen. Diese Details sind zwar erwähnenswert, haben aber meine insgesamt positive Erfahrung im Holiday Suites Palawan nicht wesentlich beeinträchtigt.
Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass das Holiday Suites Palawan eine fantastische Balance zwischen Erschwinglichkeit, Komfort und Bequemlichkeit bietet. Trotz der kleinen Zimmermängel rechtfertigen das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und die strategische Lage des Hotels problemlos eine 5-Sterne-Bewertung. Ich würde es Mitreisenden empfehlen, die einen preisgünstigen und dennoch komfortablen Aufenthalt in Palawan suchen.

KKenDucsWe recently had the pleasure of staying here, and I must say it was one of the cleanest hotels I've experienced in Palawan. The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to access local attractions. However, there was some noise from a nearby bar late at night. It wasn't too distracting for me, especially on the higher floors, so I recommend requesting one of those if you’re sensitive to sound.
The hotel itself is well-maintained, likely due to its recent renovations. The elevator, though small, was smooth and always clean, which added to the overall pleasant experience. The bathroom was a highlight—very clean and comfortable, although I did find the water heater a bit challenging to adjust.
Each room features a smart lock and a smart TV with Netflix and other apps, which is a nice touch. The Wi-Fi was reliable, even on the highest floor, allowing for seamless browsing.
One area for improvement would be the bedding. While the mattress and pillows were decent, a thicker comforter would enhance the sleeping experience, as the provided blanket was quite thin.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While this may not be a luxury hotel, it offers excellent cleanliness and customer service, making it a great choice for travelers. I would certainly consider staying here again!

VVanCitadel (the name of one of the owners) is probably the ”best for the money” mini-resort in Puerto Princesa! My room had a king bed, was comfortable and included satellite TV, a fridge and sink area. The grounds a pool are clean, neat and look great. The pool is amazing for a property size. Even though the Citadel is located 1.5km away from one of the main roads and the Robinson's Mall there are small food stores nearby for basic needs. It's easy to get a tricycle from the road near the property to just about anywhere in the Puerto area. Do ask one of the locals what the fare should be to the placey you want to go.
Francois and Citadel, the owners are very nice and helpful. You will enjoy your at the Citadel!
BONUS TIP: Just up the road (north) to the left is a food store and cafe on the right side of the road. Inside is a dental office run by Dr Joy Zapanta. She offers a full range of dental services. I got my teeth cleaned for about US$20. I could see dental tourism as a future business for Dr Joy. Enjoy your stay at the Citaldel and get all your dental work done!

DdieoomenWunderschöner Ort und sehr schöner Pool. Auch der Garten sieht gut aus. . Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr gute Gastfreundschaft und sehr großes Zimmer. Nur eines ist der hohe Preis für den Flughafen-Bring- oder Abholservice mit einem Van von 600 Peso oder 240 Peso für ein Dreirad, der kein richtiger und guter Preis ist. An den meisten Orten gibt es einen kostenlosen Shuttle.
Die Dusche und der Waschtisch waren nicht sehr sauber.
Die 4 Sterne bei den Leistungen gelten für das Personal.

AAnonymer BenutzerEs ist in Ordnung. Ziemlich einfach, aber sauber genug. Die Eigentümer/Geschäftsführung wirkten etwas unorganisiert. Während ich dort war, überprüften immer wieder verschiedene Personen mit mir meine Reservierung. Eigentlich wollte ich noch ein paar Nächte länger bleiben, aber dann hatte ich es satt, ständig nachzufragen, also bin ich einfach an einen anderen Ort gezogen 😂

We recently stayed at Microtel Hotel, booking two rooms, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
The rooms were outdated, with dim lighting that made it hard to see. The shower controls were rusted, and even the tissue holders showed significant wear. We were surprised to find that there’s no in-house restaurant, and the breakfast offered was not worth the price.
Despite having a small number of guests, the breakfast options were limited to eggs, sausage, tocino, bread, rice, fruit slices, coffee, and juice. It took a long time for the staff to refill these items, and they weren’t even heated properly. To add to our frustration, my nephew, who is in grade 5, was charged as an adult because they don’t have a child rate.
The towels were also outdated, which contributed to the overall feeling of neglect in terms of maintenance.
On a positive note, the staff were welcoming and friendly, which was appreciated. The beach in front of the resort was beautiful, but it wasn't enough to make up for the lack of proper amenities and upkeep.
Overall, we left feeling that Microtel Hotel needs significant improvements to meet basic hospitality standards.

PPeter KunzlerBasic hotel at reasonable cost on Gabinete road. The Rovia hotel is quiet, has no restaurant, however, you will find plenty of local eateries in the Baran*** Bancao-bancao. About 600 metres from the fishing port. You can swim in the sea there.
Nobody told us:- Rovia hotel swimming facilities are best in the area, partially shaded by overhead screens. Adult pool great for practising technique and stamina. Kiddies pool bigger than most local hotel adult pools. Lots of local children pay to swim in the pools on weekends.
Air conditioning works fine, bathroom sink has no drain plug, shower is quite nice. Kettle in the hallway for coffee. Wi-Fi disappears during the night, though. No fridge in our room, but great balcony facing the morning sunrise. TV is average. Ideal for small families with many excursions. We booked a second stay of 11 days in February 2024.
