Das Hotel war alt aber gemütlich. Keine Steckdosen befinden sich neben dem Bett aber eine Badewanne fand ich schön.

Has been a lovely hotel in its day! Original part of building showing its age, around woodwork/doors/walls, but atrium part (newer) absolutely fine.
Would book in again.

Famous hotel locates right at the Douglas Promenade. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, some noises woke us in the middle of the night. Some seagulls were still up and made some wailing sounds to surprise us. We could also hear some something tapping on the wall, probaly the pipe or something. Creepy really, they should improve the sound-proofing. By the way, breakfast was good..

For an old victorian building it is in a good state of repair, nothing was too much trouble for the friendly helpful staff,all requests being dealt with very quickly

The hotel is unique. The atrium is lovely and I've never stayed anywhere else like this. There's a glass roof that lets in sunshine but keeps out the rain. Food is nice and the place is spotless. Staff helpful.

The hotel is undergoing renovation but that did not impact our stay. Old hotel that has been very grand in the past and is quite likely to be so again in the future. Very conveniently placed for the ferry port. Lovely promenade in front of the hotel.

It's a bit dated, still very nice. Brett, the receptionist was awesome. Gave us great places to go and eat/drink. Very friendly people all around. Housekeeping was very good and refilled everything daily. Car rental gentleman were fun and informative. Bar staff friendly and accommodating. Just a nice place to stay.
