Nine dots was perfect for our 3 nights in the Azores. Our Room was modern and clean, staff were super helpful, breakfast was very good and location was great for exploring the area. Highly recomnend for a visit to the Azores. Hope to return one day.

We just got home from our amazing stay at Nine Dots boutique hotel. It couldn’t have been a more perfectly situated place from which to explore Sao Miguel by day and then, at night, stroll around Ponta Delgada’s historic center and its beautiful tiled, pedestrian streets. Many nice restaurants are just a few steps away! Perhaps the best thing about Nine Dots is its exceptionally friendly staff, especially those at the front desk who went out of their way to be accommodating, including offering us a late check-out so we didn’t have to sit in the airport all day awaiting our flight. The hotel’s restaurant has sidewalk tables to enjoy a bottle of wine. The pool has to be experienced! It seems like a Roman bath, utterly relaxing, particularly after driving around the island all day. We recommend splurging for a premium room with balconies overlooking Rua dos Mercadores. It’s so worth it!

Truly amazing experience. Probably the best hotel we have stayed at. There is nothing negative we can say about our stay at this gem of a hotel. Each guest is invited to a welcome wine and cheese event. Pedro, the general manager, personally escorted us to our rooms and explained everything we needed to know about the hotel. He spent time with us chatting. Breakfast was included with choices from a menu and buffet. Rooms were tidied each day and turn down service offered at night. Each room was furnished with water, beverages, fruit and sweets. There was a coffee machine as well. Staff were attentive to every need and request we had. The hotel provides a book that describes the origin of the building which comes with a postcard. Each guest is invited to write a note to themselves which will be mailed from the hotel a year from their stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is the nicest hotel I have stayed at. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. It’s people here that make the difference. They make you feel the you are the only customer and make you feel special. We were lacking nothing. The beds are comfy with crisp sheets. Toiletries are supplied along with a hairdryer in the bathroom. Actually they do a turn down service at night to be sure you have everything that you need. If you are missing anything they will bring it. Your room is tidied everyday. The pool is very pleasant and calming, with fresh pool towels and robes. There is a steam room as well. Spa services are also available onsite. The food at breakfast is included and is very pleasant. There is something for everyone. Cereal, fruit, juice, eggs, cheese, breads, pancakes, omelettes, sweets etc. Portuguese tarts for breakfast… yum! They will even make a cappuccino or latte to order for you. Sitting out in a courtyard to enjoy breakfast completes the experience. I sure hope I get a chance to return here. I would stay here without a doubt!! I highly recommend Nine Dots!!

Crisp and clean with an inviting aroma of freshness. The service , food and the smiles were outstanding. I the hart of the city with everything you desire in walking distance. You will wanna stay for the week and utilize Nine as your base to explore all the Azores have to offer… and you will not want to leave. I recommend room 201 or 202 with the veranda.

We travelled to the Azores to celebrate a bench-mark birthday. The first three nights of the trip we stayed at this gorgeous hotel. Everything was top notch. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The hotel is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and served in modern space with an outdoor terrace, filled with tropical plants. The spa was the added bonus. It was a perfect way to refresh after a day of sightseeing. The pool and steam room provided tranquility to rest and recharge. Bianca, the massage therapist, is excellent! I had such a wonderful relaxing massage with local Azorean aromatherapy. Awesome cocktails at the cool bar Etc. The bartenders were helpful and extra friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your travels take you to Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores (and your travels SHOULD take you there!!!)

A wonderful, beautiful, and clean hotel in a central location with great attention to detail and a keen eye for design. The staff is very accommodating and genuinely friendly. The breakfast is also excellent, with high quality and a great selection! The rooms are well-maintained, modern, and beautifully furnished—just like the entire hotel. The only drawback is the lack of outdoor spaces where you can relax and enjoy the weather. The wellness area is very small and unfortunately only indoors. But overall, it’s a wonderful place and highly recommended!

magnificent hotel, run with great attention to detail. All the food is very good, with particular attention paid to the breakfast, which is made exclusively from local and organic produce. The buffet is small, and that's a very good thing, as quality has been prioritized over the large buffets, which are overcrowded, dirty and unappetizing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is very pretty in the basement and not very crowded, so it's a pleasure to have the space to yourself. The bar is also very pleasant for a tea or a cocktail. And last but not least, the hotel is perfectly situated in an alleyway in the historic center, but remains very quiet at night.

New hotel located in a historic building right on one of the main pedestrian streets. Stunning indoor salty pool and steam room. Staff is great, even though they could have used an extra waiter in the breakfast room. Breakfast itself was ok - food is the one area where I think they should improve.
