If you are after a cheap hotel in the centre of Playa Del Carmen, there are loads of other options. The location is good, if you don’t mind the noise, but that is the only positive for this hotel. I wish I got more photos of the squaller, from the photos you can see where the AC leaked and the electrics are coming away from the walls. What you can not see is the tiny bathroom, the tiny “double” bed. The curtains that don’t keep out any light. Not only did the AC leak all over, it would make loud clicking noises. The noise from the street was to be expected so I won’t complain about that. The shower wouldn’t turn off fully and dripped keeping me awake to listen to the AC all night. The WiFi was bad, the room was flooded with street lights. The bed was uncomfortable and small. There was no hot water, the shower leaked into the room. Breakfast was at a sister hotel down the block, but as expected was terrible. After our first night of no sleep, we complained to no avail, so decided to check out a few days early. The hotel staff were pleasant, but unable to refund the days we were no longer staying, so resolution has been sought though *********** (if this doesn’t work my CC will resolve the matter). The hotel is cheap and in a good location, but still doesn’t offer good value for money, it should have been half the price, especially with the alternatives on offer. There are loads of other options, in Playa Del Carmen, for around the same price. I just wish others had been more honest with their reviews on ***********, so that I didn’t waste my time with a BFH hotel.
