Extended Stay America Suites - Dallas - Plano

This actual hotel building is NOT the one that is shown in the website images. The actual hotel is very rundown. I had immediate safety concerns when I arrived in the evening and saw a group of men hanging out in the parking lot. The pool was closed. It doesn't open until Memorial Day. They fail to mention that anywhere. The 'free breakfast' they advertise is nothing more than pre-wrapped muffins, Nutragrain bars, and coffee. The room itself was very rundown. Dirty and dingy appearance. Everything had a layer of grease on it, despite the fact that the stovetop wasn't even working. There were NO amenities. Just an alarm clock and a TV. NO dishes or cooking utensils, NO hairdryer - NOTHING. The hallway was also dirty. Very low level of security because the exterior entrances always seemed to be open - no key entry required. The hotel grounds were also not appealing. I ended up walking through dirt when going between the hotel and the parking lot. DO NOT stay here! For a nominal amount of extra money, you can stay at the Holiday Inn across the tollway and get the cleanliness and amenities one would reasonably expect.

Hotel Manager Nicole and staff are very professional and greeted me each time with a smile and eager to help and made me feel like I was important. Of course things could be better but I felt that with what they had they made it work to the best of their ability. Hopefully things will get better in the future and I feel it will with support from upper management.
