Fabelhaftes Hotel, das Personal, die Zimmer, die Lage, alles. Die Lage ist im Szenario mit dem Shuttlebus gerade draußen. Ja, das Hotel ist auf einem kleinen Hügel, aber ich verstehe nicht, dass die Leute darüber klagen, es ist überhaupt nicht ungünstig und erlaubt es, ein wenig von der Straße entfernt, so dass es tatsächlich besser ist. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, modern, sauber und mit schöner Aussicht. Die Gastgeber waren absolut erstaunlich: warme Willkommen, erstaunliche Gastfreundschaft und Hilfe. Sie haben mich bei der Ankunft aktualisiert und ich erhielt eine Platte frisches Obst. Sie halfen mir auch ein Fahrrad reservieren und mit allem, was ich sehen wollte, unterstützt. I love this place so much that a part of me wants to gatekeep this hidden gem. Fanzhu梵住 is a beautifully curated boutique hotel that delivers outstanding hospitality. I initially booked a 5-day stay but loved it so much that I extended for an extra day, willingly sacrificing my next destination. I was initially worried the hotel might be a ”pretty façade.” Fortunately, Fanzhu met all my needs of functionality and comfort (Breakfast, Air Conditioning, an excellent shower, free self-service laundry, an ideal location). The property is far from perfection, but it overcompensates with simple, heartfelt sincerity. You can feel the tremendous thought and effort poured into this place to make guests feel comfortable. ✨ Highlights, Who Will Love This Place: ✅#English-Speaking Travellers: For foreigners unfamiliar with China, it is extremely helpful that the owner is fluent in English. ✅#Design & Aesthetics: Warm & modern. The property exudes zen-like comfort with charming decors. It has a gorgeous yard, with swimming pool, and ample outdoor seatings. ✅#Remote workers: I didn’t plan to work on this trip, but I could see myself working there remotely. If you come from the city where every building looks like a boxy Lego piece, you will deeply appreciate this place. ✅#Personalized Service: Kudos to the young lady boss! In a place like Wanfenglin where the location pins and 导航 can be vague to foreigners, sh took the time to understand my itinerary, how I planned my routes around Wanfenglin. She gave recommendations, and helped me check my “Destination” input on car hiring app. Airport and railway station pickups can also be arranged easily too. ✅#Immaculate Rooms: THE BED! Oh my, the bed! The linens, pillows, and towels are all premium quality. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash feel luxurious. The bed is so comfortable that I would return just for a sleep-in holiday. Ok I know I’m mentioning the bed twice but it’s worth mentioning thrice. Extra points from me that the rooms are non-smoking. ✅#Location: Before arriving, I read a review describing this place as ”a piece of tranquillity close to the action”. Now I get it. It sits as an independent building on a peaceful road/hill(?), yet it is a short, easy walk to the Bagua fields and Zhong Nahui, where you can find idyllic cafes, little shops, and children playing in the fields. ✅#Breakfast: Delicious local-flavoured noodles!They also offer more conservative standards like toasts, eggs, and coffee. Oh, the hotel has an ice machine! Ooooohh so sexy in the hot weather (apparently ice cubes are rare in Wanfenglin). ✅#The Resident Pets: As a pet lover who willingly pays to visit cat cafes, having resident dog and cats sealed the deal for me. ✅#BONUS TIP: The Rooftop Night Sky. Unassuming and rugged at first glance, I was initially unimpressed. But I heard good reviews from others, so I gave it another go, and am thankful I did! Stay awhile, allow your eyes some time to adjust in the darkness, and you would see the sky completely transforms. On my last night, I saw a shooting star! I kid you not. It was an absolutely unbelievable, unforgettable moment. Incredibly awesome! ⚠️ Considerations Before You Book (Who should avoid): - If you love standard chain hotels. Fanzhu is intimate enough to offer personalized service. But I can imagine some of my more pampered friends who prefer international breakfast buffet spread would struggle to settle for this simplicity. Some things are just not realistic expectations off a boutique. - Mobility needs: There is no elevator. They would graciously carry your suitcases. However, elderly may want to enquire about ground-floor room. - In the midst of nature: If you have zero tolerance for insects, you may want to skip staying in Wanfenglin. It is a humid, lush environment surrounded by fields and trees. Personally, with a body spray of insect repellent, I wasn't bothered at all. - Pet allergies: If you hate pets (but why would you? :( w

I almost could not believe that I stayed right in the nature, so close, the mountains and fields are just right in your face. The Marathon track is in the front of the hotel. The owner upgraded our courtyard view room to the second floor bigger and cozy room that has view of the mountains! The owner maintains the property very well, very clean; its deco is homey and decorated with creative calligraphy. We stayed there for 12 nights and still enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the village.

The location of this homestay is very near to the Wanfenglin Scenic Attraction just a 5-min walk. It is also very near to the public bus terminal. When I arrived at Xingyi South Railway Station, I boarded a direct bus (RMB5) No. 1 outside Xingyi railway station to this bus terminal. The hotel is just 5-min walk from the bus terminal. There is also a bus no. 301 that I can take that goes directly to Maling River Canyon (RMB 3) from this public bus terminal. In terms of convenience to scenic attraction and public bus transportation, the location of the hotel is unique. There are also many good eateries and restaurants nearby the hotel and we were not worried of food. The lady boss briefed us on the weather and informed us that it would be rainy during our two-day stay and advised us to visit the scenic area on that late afternoon as the following day it may rain. We heed her advice and managed to complete enter the scenic area and go for our tour of the wanfenglin scenic area in 3 hours via the shuttle bus transport. We wanted to change to a room at the upper level so that we could have better window view of Wanfenglin but was told the toilet is the squatting type and only our room has the sitting type. Our room is quite clean but the amenities are old including the surrounding.. If there is a chain hotel like Home Inn or 7Day or Hanting at this area, I would have chosen the latter.

Der Chef kommt aus Nordostchina und ist sehr enthusiastisch und großzügig. Er stellte die umliegenden Touristenattraktionen vor. Das Zimmer mit Aussicht war Mitte August für 650 gebucht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist nicht hoch, aber die B&Bs in Wanfenglin sind alle recht teuer, daher ist es im Vergleich akzeptabel. Das Frühstück ist nahrhaft und hygienisch, Daumen hoch.

This hotel is amazing! It is actually a four star hotel (incorrectly listed on trip.com). The owner essentially designed the hotel singlehandedly and was very warm-hearted and welcoming! There's much of a desserty vibe with cats and real plants inside the hotel! Stargazing was amazing as well! If you are currently looking at Muyun, I highly recommend looking at this hotel as well (it is half the price with a higher altitude and less light pollution). I really appreciated the anti-tech environment! I attached a stargazing photo I took!

Und weil es regnete, half sie uns, den Besitzer des Elektroautoladens anzurufen und bat ihn, das Auto abzuholen, wenn der Regen aufhört. Am nächsten Tag brachte er uns Frühstück, weil er morgens früh ausging. Komm und bleib hier~
