PPenguiniholidayThe hotel has been renovated recently and they did a great job. The decor is very tasteful and well done. The only issues were with location and breakfast. It’s a little out of the way and the restaurant is small so we had to sit upstairs. The tables were not set and it means walking up and down stairs to get food. We got a discount rate and it was worth it, at full price I’d want a little more.
The heated pool was a nice feature but we didn’t use it, wish I had.

Всё в номере работало за исключением замка двери балкона, полотенца менялись ежедневно и были чистыми,кровать удобная, интернет нормальный, расположен на шумной улице, но недалеко от ночного рынка. Завтраки не были ни хороши ни разнообразны, и персонал плохо понимал английский. На недолго можно останавливаться если вам необходим кондиционер.

It’s true that the last time we stayed at the Dalat Heritage Hotel was years back. It had a different name then too, when it was, we believe, under a different management. The place was beautiful, with vanished wooden floors, beds with canopies and bath tubs on steady golden legs. Golden taps and fresh looking bathroom tiles. Most importantly, it was clean, the cushioned chairs felt firmed, the rooms & bathrooms brightly lit. It was an equivalent if not better than the Raffles in Spore.
We decided in our latest trip to stay at the now Dalat Heritage Hotel for two nights, 23 & 24 July 2025 . We learnt that it had changed hands and while we expected it to have aged, we thought most hotel managements, would have done some upgrade, some renovation some replacements of essentials.
Sad to say, our stay was a tremendous let down. I’m trying not to use the adjectives “traumatising experience” and will not offer photos, so that the hotel has an opportunity to spruce it up and bring it to its former glory. The property has too much potential & history to be abandoned by visitors to Dalat.
We stepped into a an old, tired looking lobby. Waited a long time to register and was told to expect welcoming drinks which never came. We girls had to use the “ladies. ” another disappointment. It was old, the flush was a pull up lever which almost didn’t work. The taps were tarnished.
We finally got into our rooms. The floors were scratched, not quite the varnish, but we thought, it’s ok, a little authenticity, somethings must age. The beds still had its canopy, but the linens looked worn, tired. The little table with its two cushion chairs were well placed, but the cushions were totally worn, we could feel the base of the seat. There was a dressing table, thoughtful… but then there was no light for any lady, vain or otherwise, to apply her war paint. The room was badly lit, no extra lights at the dressing table or anywhere. The stand alone cupboards were large, but dark as well. I almost missed the black hair dryer kept in there, and we couldn’t find the room slippers and had to ask for help to locate it in the cupboards.
The most disappointing was the bathroom. It was badly lit as well. The taps were all tarnished and without my glasses, I could see the bits of mould growing around the base of the tap. There was also limescale deposits. The floor tiles were badly worn, and I wish I could say it gave the bathroom a feel of the grandeur of yesterday years ageing gracefully, but hygiene is too important here to do so. The highlight was when we took a shower and stepped into the bathtub supported by “stone legs.” It wobbled continuously and made such a lot of noise that kept the user on edge. Then, we saw it all, the grouting of the wall tiles were caked with black moulds. To top it all, the bathroom had a stench of clogged pipes. It stayed with us like a faithful friend that won’t leave even if we tried pushing him out the door!! Did I mention the mosquitoes that bunked in with us? They bit my friend on the face & eye lid which swelled for 2 days. In the mornings, they sounded the wake up calls around our faces. If it had been possible, we would have cancelled the wake up calls.
Breakfast was good. There was a good spread and the chefs behind the counters were friendly and all smiles. However much could be done to train the waitresses, who hid in corners. I asked one of them where the toaster for the bread was, she said there was none. I found it on the second morning. It was there all along. I guess her English needs polishing.
Luckily, the porters were friendly and quite quick with umbrellas as it rained the whole 2 days we were there.
On the whole, the hotel had a handful of local guests while we were there. I hope they chip in, in encouraging the hotel to relook at its offerings. We would really like to go back, but perhaps, only if someone wrote a review that says otherwise.

Была готова ко всему. Но очень хотела увидеть лес.
Когда заехала я поняла, как люди себя переоценивают.
Отель очень красивый! Чувствуется уровень. Причем за очень доступную стоимость. Прекрасный сад, лес и вид на озеро. Комната просто королевская. Красивая мебель, много зеркал, шикарная ванная комната.
Отличный завтрак- шведский стол. Мясные фрикадельки, бекон и сосиски, мой любимый бо кхо, много азиатских блюд, каша, свежие и тушеные овощи. Все вкусно. Не пережарено, не пересолено.
В отзывах читала, что кому то не хватило сыра и разнообразной выпечки... за такую цену вы их и не должны получить.
Девушка на ресепшене при заселениии дала номер более высокого класса, чем приятно удивила.
Место отлично подойдет для отдыха. Рядом все популярные места Далата- водопад, лавандовое поле, глиняный город и красивое озеро.
Если вы путкшествуете летом, берите тепые вещи. Вечером на улице прохладно.

GGastnutzerComing from Singapore, the cool weather was superb. Facade of hotel brings you to Europe. All rooms are located in villa-like houses set in a beautiful garden. Service was 6-star. A particular staff at breakfast (Lucas) has to be commended for his attentiveness and helpfulness in providing information on where to visit and eat throughout our stay with them. Dinner at their only restaurant was wonderful, not too expensive and, again we enjoyed their warm service. The grilled lobster and fish were delicious and fresh (surprisingly).
We took Grab taxis everywhere (which was very affordable) to all places of interest as the hotel does not have much amenities within walking distance.

Room is clean & tidy, but small (no chair, one has to use the bed as chair for the table).
Toilet is clean, tidy & quite spacious. However, one of the holder of toilet bowl lid is broken.
Facilities inside room: water boiling kettle, wifi, TV (no channel & no remote control), hot shower, toiletries like liquid soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, ear cotton buds, shaver, standing fan, slippers, etc. No hair hairdryer.
Nice comfortable bed & pillows.
Complementary 2 bottled water, 2 sachets of coffee & 2 tea bags per day.
Cafes & restaurants nearby.
Safe area.
Only complaint: as most hotel in Vietnam, the door & wall of the room are quite thin, & if there is noise from the walkway outside the room, it can be heard very clearly from the room (noise from other hotel guests or room cleaner in the morning).
The cleaner will shout from room to room in the morning asking for room cleaning service & this will disturb sleeping guests. When there is no answer, the cleaner will assume that there is no guests inside the room & will open the door using the masterkey. This is not the correct way to do the daily room cleaning service! The management of the hotel should buy tags (request for room-cleaning or do-not-disturb tag) that can be hanged on door knobs as done in many hotels.

AAwilumDas Hotel hat eine sehr bequeme Lage. Die Zimmer sind sauber und hell, mit großen Fenstern. In meinem Zimmer war das Fenster dem Sonnenuntergang gegenüber, und das Sonnenlicht wärmte das Zimmer über den ganzen Tag. Das machte das Zimmer angenehmen warm, auch am Abend. Es war schön, nach einem langen Tag in ein warmes Zimmer zurückzukehren, dank sowohl dem Sonnenlicht als auch der Aussicht auf einen schönen Sonnenuntergang.
Die Lage der Stromabnehmer war bequem, und das Zimmer beinhaltete eine Kessel, die mir erlaubte, Tee leicht zu machen. Die heiße Dusche war auch ein Plus. Der Parkplatz war sicher, geschlossen, unterirdisch und sehr geräumigperfekt für Fahrräder und Autos. Das Hotel hat mir insgesamt ein Gefühl der Sicherheit und Küche gegeben.
Aber es gab einen Nebenanblick, den ich traf. Das Badezimmer war sehr klein und die Dusche hält das Zimmer überschwemmt. Am ersten Tag habe ich das Thema an das Personal gemeldet. Sie reagierten schnell, indem sie den Boden mit trockenen Handtüchern töteten und das Wasser entfernen. Leider blieb das Problem andauernd. Am nächsten Tag bat ich sie, es wieder zu reparieren, und sie entfernten den Bodenfilter, der die Wasserabwässer blockierte. Während dies die Situation verbesserte, löste sie das Problem nicht vollständig. Es scheint, dass die Dusche nicht ausreichend versiegelt war, da das Wasser weiter ins Zimmer schwimmt. Das machte es unmöglich, eine lange Dusche zu nehmen, die mich auf sehr kurze beschränkt.
Trotzdem ist mein Gesamteindruck vom Hotel positiv.

Die faszinierende Landschaft und der erstklassige Service schufen eine ruhige Atmosphäre und machten es zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Der Charme des Resorts wurde jedoch durch das in die Jahre gekommene Aussehen meines Zimmers etwas getrübt, was darauf hindeutet, dass eine erfrischende Renovierung nötig ist, um vollständig zur allgemeinen Exzellenz von Edensee zu passen.
