GGastnutzerAusstattung: Frühstück und Abendessen inklusive – einfach perfekt! Die Preise in Norwegen sind relativ hoch, daher ist ein Buffet im Hotel ein absolutes Muss! Sie werden nicht nur satt, sondern ernähren sich auch gesund.
Die Schalldämmung ist mittelmäßig; morgens hört man den Wecker im Nebenzimmer, aber auf Reisen braucht man ja nicht unbedingt auszuschlafen. Nachts ist es sehr ruhig.
Das Restaurantpersonal ist sehr freundlich und begrüßt Sie mit „Guten Morgen“ und wünscht Ihnen eine angenehme Reise.
Gäste können ihr Gepäck kostenlos aufbewahren.
Lage: 8 Gehminuten vom Osloer Hauptbahnhof und 10 Gehminuten von der Osloer Oper entfernt. Oslo selbst ist jedoch nicht sehr groß; vom Hauptbahnhof aus sind die meisten Orte innerhalb von 30 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Der entscheidende Vorteil ist, dass sich das Hotel bereits im Herzen von Oslo befindet und die Straßen nach 20 Uhr praktisch menschenleer sind.
Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten, wenn ich das nächste Mal in Oslo bin!

Hotel guests must pay a supplement daily charge to use the swimming pools AND book at designated time slot. I have NEVER experienced this at any hotel anywhere in the world. I was in a premium room, but this policy applies to all guests, which I think is awful. It was also impossible to get a spa appointment during my stay. Zero preference given to hotel guests. I strongly suggest you book spa treatments at least a week in advance of your arrival. Also, there is no turndown service, unusual for a highly priced 5* hotel. Housekeeping also finishes very early, or isn’t interested in guests who don’t align with their schedule. I had to work in my room but left at 2:45pm and it was not cleaned despite signalling the room needed making up. The reception team were polite, but chaotic. Generally, the hotel restaurants seem more focused on catering to outside guests, which is a shame.

GGastnutzerDie zentrale Lage direkt am Hauptbahnhof und im Gebäudekomplex der Byporten Mall könnte besser nicht sein. Vieles ist fussläufig zu erreichen. Die Rezeptionsmitarbeiter sind überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr reichhaltiges und leckeres Frühstück ist im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen. Am Wochenende ist das Frühstückstestaurant etwas voll und daher ungemütlich. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein aber gut ausgestattet. Insgesamt ein angenehmes Hotel und ich werde gerne wiederkommen.

GGastnutzerDies ist ein außergewöhnliches Hotel für Qualität und Service. Wir konnten früh einchecken und ein geräumiges Zimmer mit allen Extras, einem Haartrockner, einer Minibar, Snacks, einem Bügeleisen und einem Tablett mit Getränken beziehen. Tolle bequeme Betten und Badezimmer.
Der Tiefgaragenparkplatz ist von der Rückseite des Hotels aus zugänglich und mit einem Aufzug direkt im Hotel gesichert
Das Frühstück ist umfangreich und von hervorragender Qualität. Die Köche führen regelmäßig eine Qualitätskontrolle des Essens durch und das Personal im Restaurant räumt die Tische effizient ab.
Wir haben im Restaurant gegessen und es war von guter Qualität. Ich muss den jungen Mann erwähnen, der uns bediente, denn sein Kundenservice war außergewöhnlich, ganz zu schweigen von seinen Fähigkeiten im Cocktailmixen! Nichts war zu viel Mühe.
Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr hilfsbereit und half uns mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Obwohl das Hotel am Rande der Stadt liegt, waren sowohl Straßenbahn- als auch Bushaltestellen nur wenige Minuten vom Hotel entfernt und wir können uns mit der Router-App leicht zurechtfinden.
Alle Mitarbeiter, mit denen wir in Kontakt kamen, waren sowohl hilfsbereit als auch professionell und allesamt gute Botschafter der Hotelgruppe.
Ich würde dieses Hotel ohne zu zögern weiterempfehlen, vielen Dank für den Service.

LLvxingzhenshipingjiaVielen Dank für den besten Eindruck, den dieses Hotel mir hinterlassen hat. Die Rezeption, das Restaurant, der Gästezimmerservice ... sind bewegt. Alle Mitarbeiter scheinen die guten Willens und Ehrlichkeit der Gründer des Hotels in der Tat zu erfüllen. Also ist es das bequemeste Hotel. Die Lage ist sehr gut, der Palast, der Hafen, das Theater und der Konzerthall sind alle Fußgängerfernheiten und die Stationen aller Art sind sehr nahe. Die Nähe ist ein Supermarkt. Die Rezeption kann ein Taxi genannt werden.

SShauna McFaulFor our stay, we booked a studio apartment at The Sweet. The room was lovely and kitchenette was well-equipped. We were able to cook meals there over the days of Christmas when most restaurants and shops were closed. The location is a little outside of the center- nice and quiet but easy to access public transit.
My biggest issue with this hotel was that communication was very… odd. As the booking notes, I called the hotel in advance to schedule my check-in. When my call was answered, I told them who I was and that I was calling to schedule my check in (for a time when the booking said check in is available). I was told no one would be at reception at that time (3pm on Dec 23) and they would text me instructions for how to check myself in. Then she confirmed my phone number and asked for my email address, but when I started to give it, she said, “oh, that’s ok. We can’t use email anyway”. Odd. Before getting off the phone, I had her confirm that I would receive a text the next day with instructions to check in.
Our train arrived around 2pm in Oslo and we still hadn’t received a text, so we waited at the train station thinking perhaps they would send the text right at 3pm since that was the time I had requested. At 3, I still hadn’t received anything, so we called the hotel again. A different employee answered from the one I had spoken to the day before. I gave my name and explained that I was calling because I had scheduled check in the day before but hadn’t received the information to check in. The employee asked where I was and told me that there were people staffing reception to help us check in, which I thought was odd because the previous employee told me no one would be there. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and got into the building, but reception is apparently in the basement- there is only a very tiny sign that says this- so we missed it and I called them again. A man came up with our keys and got us set to go.
We got into our room and it was lovely! About 5 hours later, I got a call from Trip saying that the hotel is trying to contact me because they are wondering why I hadn’t checked in and they don’t have a way to get in touch with me. I was sitting in the hotel room when I got this call. I told the Trip representative that I was checked in and it was fine for her to give my phone and email to the hotel.
I know the communication elements have taken up a huge portion of my review and I know they are not the end of the world, but I want to share them because I believe it would be quite simple to avoid situations like this in the future and make the guest experience that much more pleasant at The Sweet.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Oslo!

Has a convenient store and pharmacy right next to the hotel.
Excellent breakfast at 6:30am weekdays and 8am weekends.
Quite helpful with porter service as we were taking the Norway in a Nutshell self guided tour. Make sure to bring adhesive tape to affix the tag for the porter service or ask the desk for tape.
Get off at National Theatre station if taking the airport train. Short walk along the park towards Rosenkrantz Gate.

GGastnutzerTruly one of the best hotel stays I have ever experienced. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well accommodated and comfortable throughout. When we arrived at the hotel it was 11AM, so I mentioned to the front desk staff that I know it was far too early for us to receive our room (check in is typically at 3PM) and that we would like to simply drop off our bags. Without any special requests, the front desk staff immediately prepared our room keys of us to check in right away, which was hugely appreciated since we had caught a very early morning flight in. We loved the room. It was very comfortable for the 3 of us, although a bit tight but that's what we expected for hotel rooms in Europe. The bathroom was well fitted and had all the basic toiletries required (shampoo, body wash, hand soap), however we hoped to have body lotion as well, so we asked housekeeping whether any was available and they immediately brought 3 LARGE bottles for each of us to use. I have never seen such massive toiletries and in such generous quantities supplied at any hotel before, which again made us feel very well taken care of. Finally on our check out day our flight was not until 6PM and since checkout is typically at 11AM I requested for just a 1 hr extension. Although they were very busy for it being the beginning of summer holidays, without any hesitation the front desk staff extended our checkout time to 3PM. I was once again very pleasantly surprised and appreciative. My last note is to touch on the complimentary tea and coffee always available in the lobby, as well as the fabulous buffet breakfast they served. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!
