We had a wonderful stay at Greenland Villa. It is perfectly located right next to the Kithal Ella train station, from which you can directly board the famous train that goes through the nine arch bridge. The property was beautiful, very well equipped with everything we needed including a great kitchen. It was clean, well ventilated, and more importantly it felt like home. The owner took time to decorate it with great taste. On top of that he was such a humble and polite person.Upon arrival he gave us a ride to get our groceries; another day he brought us his homegrown vegetables, which was such a nice gesture. Having said that, there were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. The WiFi connection was not great, probably because of the location, but we struggled with it. And the breakfast was very carb-heavy, which may work for you but wasn't particularly to our liking. Nonetheless, We would book it again if I ever come back to Ella. We can only recommend Greenland villa highly.

Perfect Stay in the Heart of Ella! We recently stayed at Bridge Front Inn and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything about this place is excellent. The staff here are incredibly attentive and friendly; they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We were greeted with a complimentary freshly made passion fruit juice, which was a delicious way to start our stay. The location is simply ideal — right next to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, making it super convenient for exploring Ella's main attractions on foot. Although we didn't use their shuttle service because we weren't aware of it when booking, the owner kindly agreed to drive us to a restaurant one evening, showing true hospitality. The food was another highlight, absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet deserves a special mention as there is an enormous selection of dishes to choose from. Our room was spotlessly clean with fresh bed linen and brilliantly white towels. Highly recommended!

Wir kamen müde und nicht in Geist, aber wir waren so spirituell getroffen, dass der Stimmung auf einmal stieg. Die Gastgeber hatten Tee, kommunizierten im Haus – fühlen sich nicht als Kunde, sondern als willkommener Gast. Hotel am oberen Rand des Berges, und von jedem Zimmer – Ausfahrt zur Terrasse mit erstaunlicher Aussicht. Am Morgen wachst du auf – und du hast nur Berge und Schweigen. Das Zimmer ist sauber, komfortabel, alles wird bis zu kleinen Dingen gedacht. Das Frühstück wurde speziell für unsere Präferenzen zubereitet: frisches Obst, Eier, Toasts, sogar Muzzi! Das Personal ist nicht formal freundlich, sondern wirklich gut. Wenn Sie nicht nur übernachten wollen, sondern sich um die Seele kümmern und sich mit der Seele – Hier ist genau Ihr Platz. Ich möchte wieder zurückkehren und allen empfehlen. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeber für eine solche Atmosphäre!

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad bij dit hotel. De ligging is top, het ontbijt is goed en de medewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk. Enige nadeel is dat het erg gehorig is in het hotel, waardoor je de buren kan horen douchen en je hierdoor vroeg in de ochtend al wakker wordt.

Hoch in den Bergen! Das Haus ist schön, alles neue, das Bett ist komfortabel! Eine separate Liebe und Freude von seiner eigenen Terrasse mit Blick auf die Berge und den Tempel! Am Abend war Regen und Schnee, und am Morgen der Sonne und in jedem Wetter ist schön!

Dieses Gästehaus liegt mitten im Wald. Es ist wirklich hübsch und das Hotelpersonal ist sehr nett. Sie ist sehr nett und super hilfsbereit. Das einzige Problem ist der Eingang über eine lange Treppe, und wenn Sie großes Gepäck haben, wird es sehr schwer zu tragen sein. Das Zimmer ist gemütlich, aber das Badezimmer verfügt über keine Annehmlichkeiten. Bringen Sie daher bitte Ihr eigenes Duschgel und Shampoo mit.

It was a great stay, people are supposed friendly, location is far from centre but if you like nature and peace, you would love it. What you need? They will provide immediately, ironing, mony change, taxi, food, any servis … Highly recommended

We stay here for 3 nights and it was a lovely experience! The rooms were clean and tidy, we got fresh towels each day and new bottles of water! They were happy to tidy the room each day which was the first time we had this on our whole journey in Sri Lanka so was a lovely extra touch for us but we were happy with just new towels and water! They are currently renovating downstairs to build a restaurant so we were a little confused when we first arrived but this did not take away from the experience of the hotel, the staff were super friendly and accommodating! The hotel is in the perfect location on the main road through Ella with bars, restaurants and shops everywhere! With the train station a short 5 min walk everything is accessible. We would 100% recommend to stay here for your trip to Ella

Ich habe die Lage etwas am Rande der großen Avenue geschätzt, aber es ist wahr, dass die Straße am Abend dunkel ist. Das Zimmer ist groß mit einem großen Balkon, die Betten sind komfortabel. Par contre je n'ai pas aimé que le petit déjeuner soit mentionné et qu'on m'a eu la veille qu'il ne ne servait pas sans même trouver d'alternative. Le wifi n'est pas du tout stable et la communication avec le gestionnaire est presque inexistante. Es wurde mir nie geantwortet, weder für das Frühstück noch für das WiFi.
