Just wanna share my experience of staying in this beautiful hotel. 1- The location and the views from the hotel are just amazing! Especially during sunsets! 2- The personal and stuff of the hotel are super super friendly, if I could I would give 10 stars for the hospitality. 3- Onsens and the view are something out from this world 4- What I was really amazed is the kitchen and the chef that is cooking. If you stay in this hotel I highly recommend take the breakfast and dinners. You will have a high class food with a presentation and explanation of each dish by the servant. Best experience 5- Last but not the least I forgot my speaker in the hotel. The stuff brought it back the same day to me to another hotel I moved after NISHIHOPPO. So guys, less words more actions! 10 stars to this amazing hotel and it’s owner. My respect.

La experiencia fue maravillosa! La casera era super atenta y cercana, nos ayudó a instalarnos y nos explicó cómo funcionaba la ciudad onsen e incluso nos regaló unas frutas al marchar. Las habitaciones eran amplias y muy cómodas, el onsen propio del ryokan nos pareció de los mejores de la zona y además teníamos leche gratis cerca de recepción. La reserva incluía desayuno gratuito y la verdad es que estaba delicioso. Era un desayuno tradicional japonés y nos encantó la experiencia, aunque a nuestro parecer lo servía muy pronto, a las 7:30 o a las 8:00. En general una de las mejores experiencias que tuvimos en Japón en cuanto a alojamiento.

Wow, what a magnificent place, we really loved our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. The photos do not do the place justice at all. Our room was spacious and cozy and had a toilet. Our bed was prepared for us when we went out for evening meal. Coffee and tea making facilities were provided. We were privided yutakas for our stay. The hosts are so helpful and friendly. We added breakfast to our stay, and it was superbly prepared in a private dining area for us to enjoy The location was convenient, easy walking to the town and to the ski gondola. We used the private and public ensens at Sumiyosa, both were immaculate with toiletries provided. The public onsen definitely felt hotter than the private ensen, but both were so relaxing. I would love to stay here again.

Authentisches Onsen-Erlebnis im Biyunoyado Unsere Familie hatte einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Biyunoyado, einer hervorragenden Wahl für alle, die ein authentisches japanisches Onsen erleben möchten. Der Service war exzellent, und das Hotel bietet sogar einen Shuttlebus zum Affenpark und Bahnhof an (den wir allerdings nicht genutzt haben, da wir mit dem Auto angereist sind). Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und sprachen sowohl Chinesisch als auch Englisch, was die Kommunikation sehr erleichterte. Das Onsen war ein absolutes Highlight und bot ein entspannendes und traditionelles Erlebnis. Auch das köstliche Frühstück hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Das Zimmer war etwas klein und bot nur wenig Platz für Gepäck. Insgesamt ist das Biyunoyado ein fantastischer Ort für alle, die japanische Gastfreundschaft, erstklassigen Service und ein wohltuendes Onsen erleben möchten.

It's a 10 mins walk uphill from train station so maybe better to try to contact them for a complimentary pick up. The place is super grand and 2 onsens. A Instagram worthy one that the males and females get to use it at different timings. The shower stuff in the onsen are mediocre though. No fancy facial stuff for women unlike some other onsens at this price range. We had breakfast and dinner for the 2 nights. And well worth it. But you have to follow a fixed timing and we felt a bit rushed but otherwise it was really great and service perfect. We had one the biggest rooms I believe Room 716. Had a sitting area and also a sleeping area. Easily fits 8 persons. We were only 2. In the day they kept the futons and brought it out at night. Towels changed every night. There is a van that goes straight to Mount Yokoteyama ski resort. The receptionist didn't seem to know about it but you could try to Google. It was a complimentary ride to and fro if you bought the lift tickets. Took only like 30 mins to get there. You can get rentals at hotels there.

Die Fahrt mit der Nagano-Bahn von Nagano City nach Yudanaka dauert etwas über eine Stunde. Nach Verlassen des Bahnhofs gehen Sie ein paar Minuten flussabwärts; der Weg ist leicht zu finden. Das Hotel liegt im Herzen von Yudanaka Onsen, einem kleinen, aber traditionsreichen Ort. Zimmer und Einrichtungen wurden 2013 renoviert und sind sauber und hygienisch. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein großes öffentliches Onsen-Bad, im dritten Stock zwei private Bäder; Reservierungen an der Rezeption ermöglichen eine halbe Stunde kostenlose Nutzung. Frühstück und Abendessen werden in Buffetform mit einer großen Auswahl an Gerichten angeboten, darunter Nagano-Rindfleisch-Hotpot (drei Scheiben pro Person) sowie frisches, unbegrenzt verfügbares Gemüse und Pilze aus der Region. Oden (japanischer Eintopf) wird bis 17:30 Uhr in der Lounge im Erdgeschoss serviert. Direkt vor dem Hotel befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle zum Jigokudani-Affenpark, wo Sie Schneeaffen beim Baden im Onsen beobachten können. Die Busse fahren jedoch nicht regelmäßig, daher empfiehlt es sich, den Fahrplan vorab zu prüfen.

Shiga Palace Hotel is a great choice for its location alone—set right in the mountains, it offers easy access to the surrounding area and beautiful scenery that really adds to the experience. One of the highlights was the buffet meals. The food was plentiful, varied, and satisfying, making it easy to refuel after a long day of exploring. The rooms were very traditional Japanese style, which felt authentic and fitting for the setting. While simple, they gave a true sense of staying in a classic Japanese hotel. The communal onsen was also a memorable experience—relaxing, cultural, and something everyone should try at least once while visiting Japan. Overall, the location and meals are major pluses, and the traditional rooms and onsen make this hotel a unique and enjoyable stay.

Located just within 3min from Yudanaka station, Raki Onsenryokan is run by a Chinese family. As a quiet town on its own, no one was tending to the reception when I arrived, after ringing the bell, a lady came down to help with the check in - very straightforward. I believe the family stays in the same building as they said if we ever needed anything, we could just ring the bell at the reception. Obviously I had booked a room too big for a solo traveller as this was the only room left as ”non-smoking”. Toilet and sink are at two different parts of the room which was a little inconvenient. Ryokan offers free drive (15min) TO snow monkey park, but not return, so please cater at least 35min to walk from park exit to the bus stop. Ryokan also provided a hearty breakfast, overall for the price paid it was a decent stay!

Die Liege ist sehr groß und schön. Dieses Mal ging ich mit drei Freunden, und das Personal der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und glücklich. Es ist ein gutes Hotel, das Holzplatten vermietet werden kann.

We really enjoyed our stay at Shiga Kogen Sunvalley hotel. It's only a 20 mins bus ride from the Snow Monkey Park. The bus stop (S15) is about 100m away but when it's heavily snowing, it could be a little difficult to pull your luggage across the road. During the winter season, there's a free shuttle bus that takes you around the different resorts. The hotel also has ski rentals and the pricing is very reasonable and convenient for hotel guests to pickup and drop-off. The onsite onsen and sauna is clean and well maintained. We had breakfast included - food selection is good with a mix of Western and Japanese cuisine. Dinner required reservation and you have a choice of Japanese set course, or a casual course. Usui and the team really know how to provide great hospitality and we really enjoyed our stay.
