HHebaodanpusaSehr empfehlenswertes Hotel, danke für die herzliche Empfangsweise der Herren und Frauen, das Frühstück ist großartig. Selbstgefertigte Kuchen sind unvergesslich.
Zimmer: Zweiter Stock, das Zimmer ist nicht groß, das Zimmer ist sehr warm, die Landschaft außerhalb des Fensters ist sehr gut. Tag für Tag wird es hygienisch behandelt, die Zubehörzubehör, aber keine Schleusen und andere Gegenstände bieten. Das Wasser im Zimmer ist nicht sehr warm, das hoffentlich verbessert wird.
Lage: Mehr als 10 Minuten vom Bahnhof zu Fuß, um nach oben zu gehen. Der Hauptbus in der Seezone ist etwa 10 Minuten entfernt. Der Windmil-Zentrum ist auch etwa 10 Minuten entfernt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und ziemlich gut.
Frühstück: sehr lecker, Standard-Frühstück in Englisch, Kaffee mit Joghurt, das gesamte britische Frühstück, und verschiedene Arten von Kuchen und Pisten, die von den Geschäften selbst hergestellt werden. Es ist der wertvollste Ort dieses Geschäftes, um die Handwerksweise der Herren und Frauen zu loben.

Rrockylee1. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer sehr guten Lage, der Weg zum Schiffshafen ist in 10 Minuten. Es gibt viele Restaurants in der Nähe und die Speisen sind sehr bequem. Das Zimmer ist groß, es gibt einen Wohnzimmer, überraschend, aber der Wohnzimmer ist am Bett, neben der Straße, einige Schmutzstücke früh und Nacht, insbesondere die britische Autogeschwindigkeit ist im Allgemeinen schneller und etwas beachtenswert. Frühstück ist vorbereitetes Brot, Joghurt, Milch und andere, manche im Kühlschrank, manche im Lagerhaus, nicht zu viel erwarten.
2, wenn Sie sich selbst fahren, und die Rezeption brauchen Sie eine Parkkarte, 3 Pfund pro Tag, unbegrenzte Parkplätze, es gibt mehrere Standorte, die Sie parken können, es ist wirklich sehr bequem. GGastnutzerRum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself.
We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area.
Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too.
We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful.
After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks.
We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet, aber es ist sehr gut.
Die einzige Beschwerde, die ich habe, ist, dass Sie £12 zahlen, um Ihren Wagen pro Nacht zu parken, das ist ok, wenn Sie nur das Spa nutzen, aber ich stimme es nicht zu, wenn Sie im Hotel bleiben und dort Geld ausgeben, fand ich diese sehr enttäuschend.

It’s conveniently located just a 15-minute walk from the train station and another 15 minutes to Windermere Lake.
The room was warm, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with a great selection of teas and cookies. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared each morning, setting us up nicely for the day. A charming place with a welcoming atmosphere

KKristinMWMy husband and I stayed here in one of the larger posh 4-poster bed rooms for 2 nights nights. It is an ideal location, being a very short walk from the village high street, across the road from the harbour with beautiful lake views, but tucked high enough away from any street noise. And because it's a proper hotel, the room we booked was large enough, and even had a bidet. There was adequate parking, a lovely full English breakfast buffet, and a fancy bar and restaurant onsite. The only downside was that the lift was broken, so we had to climb to the top floor many times a day, and construction was taking place on site, but that was quiet for us as our room was around the other side of the building. If you're there in the dead of summer, there was no AC. (Just a heads up in case you're from the states and used to it all hotel rooms) Not currently any pool or hot tub at the time of typing this.
I would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to my friends. 👍🏼

GGastnutzerThe Macdonald Old England Hotel is well situated, being just a stones throw from the lakeside and the shops in Bowness.
The staff are friendly and obliging and the service matches their attitude.
The breakfasts are fine, although the staff can sometimes be a bit slow in replenishing the tureens.
We did not use the Spa, so we cannot comment on that.
Overall, we found the hotel to have all the facilities that we were lookling for and we would be happy to stay there again.

我住的4號房，實際比圖片好看一些，稍微新一點，原本以為又是圖片上那種30年前那種傢俱，但實際可能就10年輕那種田園風，房間也挺大，大箱子也能展開，
服務：早上可以點餐，includ還算豐富
設施：住一樓，衹有幾步梯子需要提行李箱
缺點，一樓一定要拉窗簾，不然偶爾路過能看到房間裏，一到晚上22點後會有一股**氣味，有點受不了，房間門好像鎖不了，我也沒什麼貴重物品，也沒去問，就這樣住了3天，整體還是性價比不錯，畢竟這是在英國度假區最火的夏天，就不要有什麼大的期待，

PPriyanka BajirajThe property and the ambience is lovely. The view from the restaurant garden is very pleasant and beautiful. The room size, bathroom size and amenities were good. We faced 1 major problem to be precise which made us a bit sore.
Cleanliness - the room was clean except for the carpet. It didn’t feel like it was vacuumed. There was probably a pet staying in that room before us and there was a lot of hair on the carpet. I understand it is a pet friendly property and I have absolutely no problem with that. But cleaning the room properly before the next checkin is a basic expectation. We couldn’t step on the floor without our feet being covered with hair.
Apart from that, everything else was very good. Breakfast was also good and the customer service was very polite and hospitable as well.
