Brilliant hotel and a great place to stay. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the location was perfect — tucked away on a quiet little road, away from the busy side of the city, but still with plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff were incredibly helpful and thoughtful throughout our stay, and the whole area felt very safe. The free welcome snacks were a lovely touch too. Really good value for money, but what stood out most was how comfortable and welcoming the place felt. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. Would definitely stay again!

This boutique hotel is conveniently located in the old City. The hotel staff are very friendly and even fetched us from the train station. Hotel room is spacious and comfortable. I accidentally dropped a ring in the lobby and the staff picked up and returned to me. Very pleasant staff and highly recommended.

First, the hotel's structure is very beautiful and has been renovated while staying true to the traditional style of the region. The hotel room itself was probably the most beautiful we had seen on our entire trip: spacious, with windows that actually opened, good air conditioning, and modern decor and furniture without being over the top. Second, the hotel's location is within the boundaries of the city wall and is part of the old town, so beautiful to walk around and see the traditional houses - many of them renovated according to the traditional style. And third and most importantly, the kindness of the people who work at the hotel. I have never felt so welcome anywhere on holiday as at this place. Unfortunately, I arrived with health problems and needed antibiotics - equivalents of the ones I had brought from Europe. I asked the reception where I could find the closest pharmacy, but rather than guiding me there, Xiao Liu, the lady at the reception, figured out for me which antibiotic would be the right one and got it for me. The same when we needed a suitcase, rather than sending me to the shop she inquired about our desired suitcase and in one hour it was there. Drinks are complementary at any time of the day, and the breakfast (Chinese and international - sandwiches) was generous and unlimited. When we were running late coming back from the grottoes and needed to catch a train, Xiao Liu helped us out by bringing us all our suitcases directly to the train station. We will never forget all these acts of kindness and we are still grateful to her and the entire hotel staff for making us feel so much at home. Datong will stay in our minds and hearts forever thanks to the people of the Floral hotel. Datong is special enough for all the incredible cultural sights you can visit - but our stay there will never be forgotten thanks to the beauty of the Floral Hotel and its amazing people. Die Heizung funktionierte im frühen Winter sehr gut und sorgte für angenehme Wärme, teilweise sogar etwas zu warm. Die Klimaanlage und die Belüftung waren jedoch ausreichend, um die individuelle Temperaturvorliebe zu erfüllen, was ein Pluspunkt war. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend: Nach einem 10-minütigen Spaziergang, wenn man vom Hoteleingang rechts abbiegt, erreicht man den Trommelturm. So lässt sich die Altstadt bequem erkunden und Restaurants besuchen. Obwohl ich ein günstigeres Zimmer gebucht hatte, das nicht besonders geräumig war, war es ausreichend. Angesichts der Lage, des Preises, des Komforts und des Services war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr gut, was lobenswert ist.

This hotel has a big problem: air-conditioning AC works very poorly. Sometimes it works well for a couple of hours and then it stops. We were there in May and it was very difficult to sleep. We would set the temperature to 18° but the air conditioning system would say that the temperature in the room was 27-28 degrees. If not for inability to sleep as a result of air-conditioning system not working properly, this is a good hotel. The staff are always trying to help, it is quiet, the breakfast is actually very good. The breakfast was unusually good: huge selection, exotic and interesting tasty dishes, I will miss it. The location is convenient if you plan to visit the ancient city and to the museum.

Extremely happy with my stay here! Room is very spacious and clean, and I was within walking distance to most of the attractions and restaurants. The staff here are very friendly and they always went out of their way to make my experience in Datong memorable! I'm especially grateful because the manager showed me how to order food from local restaurants using my phone and get it delivered straight to my room! 10/10!!
