We had a wonderful stay at Leisure Inn Penny Royal Hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring Tasmania. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to assist. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Cataract Gorge and close to the Launceston CBD, making it convenient to visit local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We also loved the unique historic charm of the property and the beautiful surroundings. (Leisure Inn Penny Royal) Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again. The hotel staffs were welcoming, friendly and parking was also included in our stay. As we are a family of 5 pax, the hotel has provided two rooms which are interconnected. This makes it convenient for us as a family to connect. The rooms were clean and tidy with great showers. Breakfast was included in our stay with a great selection of ala carte breakfast, with good selection of beverages and coffee. Highly recommended.

The whole experience was seemless, no hidden costs and any extras we needed were available to us apon request. Motel was quiet and well situated to the inner city. Staff were always very very accommodating and pleasant to deal with.

The hotel itself is very beautiful, great location as well. However the room feels very stuffy, the balcony is locked only a small window is left open and the screen window is incredibly dusty, I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned. Also the housekeeping is very unprofessional, she came straight in without even knocking the door around 9am while we are still sleeping, just saying hello when unlocking the door. Unhappy about that.

Good hotel and Good location, not far from the city center and the location is near to the river and many famous restuarant. easy to go and findthe best.

The setting is nice, but the house is a bit dated and is said to have been a monastery in the past. The staff is warm and friendly and will recommend restaurants and places to visit in the neighborhood if needed.

Stayed the night to watch The Hawks and needed somewhere cheap and cheerful. The room was small and basic but had everything you need for a stopover, fridge, kettle, microwave etc. The heater we had in our room didn't work but the staff were absolute legends in ensuring they found us one, so we were certainly cosy and warm 😁 we didn't eat a meal but did take some garlic bread away, which was yummy! Would stay again next time, thanks guys 😊
