Die Rezeption war perfekt - ich kam früh und wurde sofort ein Zimmer oder eine kurze Wartezeit für ein upgraded Zimmer angeboten. Zimmer sind groß, warm, komfortabel und stilvoll. Kaffee und Restaurant sind sehr besetzt und Grain Restaurant Essen ist lecker. Sehr empfohlen.

AUSSCHÜTZENDE! Wir haben den verdammten und sofort einen unheilvollen Geruch von schmutzigem Futter in unsere Nase gefallen! Wir wollten ehrlich aufwerfen und um 7:00 Uhr, als wir ankamen, war schon niemand im Rezeption, um mit oder zu sprechen. Mein Bunkbett hatte ein Kauen Gummi an ihn gebunden (Foto beigefügt). Am Abend waren die Leute laut bis 1:00 Uhr und am Morgen um 5 Uhr waren sie wieder auf, so wie es um Mittag war. Wir haben uns am Morgen nach dem Gastgeber beschwert, der keine Verantwortung übernommen hat, und niemand hat sich je beschwert. Keine Entschädigung, aber wie konnten wir den unheilvollen Geruch des Gebäudes beweisen? ! KEINE WEITERE KEINE. Absolut NICHT ANBESCHLOSSEN.

Wir blieben hier im September 2022 und haben uns gerade geliebt. Das Hotel war außergewöhnlich lebendig, sauber, modern, gut gelegen und hatte brillanten Service. Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel mit großen Bereichen um die Betten mit Zimmer zu bewegen und zu platzieren, und die Badezimmer waren sehr sauber und modern. Das Hotel war sehr gut gelegen, nur einen leichten Spaziergang von den Stadtteilen entfernt. Wir lieben vor allem das schöne Haus und die Bar- und Restaurantbereiche. Wir würden es definitiv empfehlen.

Best Western Launceston is a basic, but clean, safe, comfortable well-priced hotel in the centre of Launceston. It's well positioned for the Botanic Gardens and monkey enclosure, right in the centre of the city, and not too far from the river. The room had everything you'd need, or expect, for this price. But what raised the place for me was the service. On a badly delayed flight I didn't arrive until after midnight, but the night manger appeared swiftly, helped me check in, and never once complained about being dragged to the front desk in the middle of the night.

Nicht zu empfehlen, wenn Sie schweres Gepäck haben, da es keinen Aufzug gibt (allerdings nur 2 Etagen). Wir brauchten nicht viel Service, es ist meistens nur DIY ohne viel? Problem, also gebe ich ihm eine 5. Der Ort ist definitiv sauber, also 5. Die Ausstattung wäre 3 aufgrund der Treppe für schweres Gepäck (möglicherweise nicht für alle ein Problem), auch gibt es keine Jalousie oder Tür für die Dusche, also Wasser würde in andere Bereiche des Waschraums auslaufen, selbst wenn Sie sehr vorsichtig sind.

I would like to give the reception staff Lisa and Karen 10 out of 10 for wonderful service. I was trying to get a bed for one night and rang the hotel as I'd booked on what I thought was their website - I'd booked the wrong night and couldn't change it. Lisa was the lady I spoke to and she very kindly sorted it for me in such a lovely manner. Then when I arrived Karen was on reception and the welcome was warm and friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Personality plus, what an asset! The room was on the small side but comfortable, spotless and had a fabulous view of the city. It is also within walking distance of two theatres, bars and restaurants. A genuine pleasure to stay here, thank you ladies.

The Auldington is a lovely building in nice grounds. My room was clean, with lovely high ceilings and a comfortable (firm) bed. The bath was sensational! Original glass in the windows & lovely views. There were a few things which diminished the quality of my stay, reducing my review to 3 stars. The staff member who checked us in was extremely thorough – racing through everything anyone may ever need to know about staying. Unfortunately, the sheer volume of information he served up made it difficult to take any of it in. He then proceeded to lead us to our room, where he showed me how to open a door (turn the key & push) and then actually entered the room. I found this awkward & a little uncomfortable. There definitely needs to be improvements with some insulating / soundproofing. I could hear people walking on the floor above my room every morning and hear voices from the rooms around mine in the evenings. On my last night, I was in the bathroom & the whole room started vibrating and a low rumbling sound – it took me a minute to guess that there was a spa in a room nearby. There was also loud music in the bathroom, although it didn’t travel through to the main room with the door closed. But someone else’s music wasn’t quite the ambiance I was looking for. The biggest issue I had was with the air-conditioning. It seems as though the building has some kind of multi-head split system in operation, which means that every outflow has to be on the same mode for it to work. Apparently, one room didn’t get the memo & I was left for 5 hours sweating with no air conditioning because it suddenly stopped working. I find it incredible that this was seen as a sensible option to install – and then give every room a remote. While I was told not to change the remote on check-in, I could easily understand how that nugget could be lost in the sheer weight of information delivered at the time. I stayed for 3 nights in a City view room. The view was nice & certainly nicer than what it would be from the back of the building. Location wasn’t bad, but a little out of the way. It is quiet, which is good. On-site parking. There’s a lovely corner café close, which was a bonus for morning coffee. Would I stay again? Not in summer, not in winter (when heating or cooling is required). Perhaps in spring.
