Hotel des Carmes by Malone

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. Since the last time, which was many years ago.they have recently done a renovation. They went from 2 stars to 4 stars. They did a nice job. The rooms are very nicely done, as are the bathrooms. The bad news is that they have raised the prices. But the prices do seem comparative to other hotels in the area.The rooms are small so I suggest upgrading to a larger superior room, which I did. My room, #31 was small also, but it had everything one needs: a small fridge with free beverages, a safe, a nice windowed bathroom with a lovely shower, a hair dryer, etc. The beds are very comfortable, the windows block out sound so we slept well. The staff is helpful for whatever you need. The best thing about the hotel is the location. You can walk to many different areas of Paris easily. The left bank area is nice, with many cafes, shops and sights to see close by. It is a 5 minute walk to the Pantheon. They serve a self-serve breakfast every morning in the lobby for a fee or with the room for some promotions. With breads, pastries, jams, granola, scrambled eggs, etc. Overall I recommend this hotel.

Room was tiny. Breakfast was not only poor but not very appetizing (omelette and mushrooms especially). Not worth 4 star.

The Hotel overall was very clean. We were warmly welcomed and the room was very nice. Comfortable bed and great view (Suite). The location was central. The breakfast had everything and didnt felt overloaded.

The whole experience at Carmes by Malone was marvellous and warm. I highly recommend and I will definitely come back, especially with my family. Thank you for your excellent service.

Lovely hotel, everything you need. Great location. Modern rooms. Would recommend to anyone visiting Paris.

The hotel is lovely. The room is very nice but tiny with a good size bathroom and great shower. Nice staff and fantastic location. Although I was very disappointed with the wifi as the reception in my room (first floor) was really bad. Around the corner from the hotel there is an amazing bakery called La Maison d’Isabelle. The best coffee that I had in Paris (I tried in many different places) was in a place called Patrol (2 place Edmond Rostand) just on the opposite corner of the Luxembourg Gardens, close to the hotel.

The rooms were well appointed and lacked for nothing, making best use of available space without clutter. The courtesy beverages in the fridge were a nice extra. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and fresh. The location very well located for sights and transport. I’d definitely stay again.

Hotel des Carmes is an excellent place to stay in Paris. It has a superb location, the staff is lovely and helpful, the room was clean and super quiet, and the breakfast was an added plus. An excellent choice and we loved our stay, thank you...

We liked very much the friendly staff, breakfast was good, tasty, having many species to choose. The hotel was tidy And comfortable, very peaceful and silent, which was perfect for us. The room was a bit small, but nice.
