Hotel Résidence des Arts - Saint-Germain

Friendly staff, comfy room, great location, and yummy breakfast. Our room was in the second building, the one across the street from the main lobby. Second floor. Good, clean, quiet (except for the construction on the 1st floor during the day)...but we were out and about 99% of the day and that construction should be done and over by now with this review being 4 months later. Safe street. A block away from the metro. Walking distance to most everything we wanted to check out aside from the Eiffel Tower.

Really good experience, will be back. Customized recommendations (restaurants etc), the team was always ready to help with reservations, booking tickets (e.g. Louvre), transportation, advice on how to navigate the city during the pre Olympics period. The room was very comfortable too.

Just stayed at Residence Des Arts for a week and we had a pleasant time. We stayed on the 5th (of 6) floors. Each floor can be either a 1 bed separate from a Suite with 1 bed and a pullout or combined. World’s smallest elevator (but it HAD an elevator thankfully). Think 3 large bags L x W. Suites have a kitchenette, bottle openers, fridge, etc. It was clean, no bugs, safe. The neighbourhood/location was fantastic. Very close to many Metro lines and RER, a TON of places to eat within walking distance. We felt we were never far from anything. We paid for breakfast at the hotel… that was the one thing I would suggest you want to think about. It is coffee (espresso), OJ and croissants/ pain chocolat. Kids had cereal. For the cost and knowing how many options were around I would opt out of that next time. If you want certainty, it is a good option as the quality is high. The service was quite good - professional and attentive. Just note that there is no doorman as it is affiliated with the Villa d’Estree hotel across the alleyway. We would go back next time.

I fully recommend this hotel. It's in a perfect location right next to the Seine - easily walkable to sights such as Sainte-Chapelle, Notre-Dame and the Louvre. It's also close to a few Metro stations / very easy to get to on the RER B train from CDG airport / also easy to get to the RER A train nearby to Disneyland. The reception for the hotel was across the road but once checked-in our room key gave us easy access to our hotel. The stairs are unavoidable and the lift is tiny (smaller than you will imagine!) but it was fine for 2 of us. We had a double room made up as a twin and it was actually larger than I expected (as I know Paris hotel rooms are small!). The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the air conditioning worked well (it was hot when we were there). We also had a fridge and a kettle in the room, so don't forget some tea bags! There is also a lovely boulangerie just around the corner, so easy to grab a morning croissant. It's a perfect base for a few days in Paris! We were very pleased with our choice and would definitely stay again.

Comfortable, quiet and good size room. Tiniest elevator I have ever seen and we were on the 5th floor so stairs were also challenging. Check in is done on the other side of the street. Lots of restaurants and businesses around. Our room had a kitchenette.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, with tons of restaurants right there, the Louvre and Notre Dame a short walk away. We were a party of 3, and the room itself was very large. The kitchenette came handy. Yes, the elevator is tiny, but hey, it’s Paris! That’s part of the experience. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We stupidly forgot a small bag there, and they went out of their way to get it to us quickly. We would definitely stay there again.

I had been Paris before and I knew if I returned I wanted to stay on the left side of the river near or in the Latin Quarters. I found this place and read reviews so I took a chance. We got a junior suite was a very nice size which was perfect for the rainy days. Gentlemen that worked the front desk during our stay was extremely kind, pleasant and helpful! I will definitely stay here again as the location was perfect for walking and access to the metro! I will definitely be back!

Where should I begin? Our stay in this hotel was marvelous from the moment we arrived to a warm welcome. The room we booked was spacious and yet full of charm and had all we needed for our stay. We opted for breakfast, which was delicious!! The hotel was also located in a fantastic spot: plenty of restaurants in the immediate area, and two metro stations, a pharmacy and a supermarket all just a short block away. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I had a fantastic stay here at this hotel. I spent a little extra to get the suite on the 6th floor - it was huge by Paris standards! Not luxurious in terms of fittings but spacious and had everything I needed - more like an apartment which I liked as I was there for 4 nights. The suite had a kitchen with fridge, stove top etc. Bathroom had a shower and bath and bedroom and lounge room had views over Paris rooftops. The shower wasn’t working when I checked in but they fixed it pretty much straight away. The staff were very friendly and helpful when needed. As others have stated - the lift is tiny - quite laughable really - only room for 2 people but kinda cool also! The location of this hotel is amazing - right in the heart of St Germain and super close to busy nightlife, shops and delicious bakeries! I would absolutely recommend staying here in this hotel.
