Pros:
- Location is pretty good: walkable to town and a nice landscape in the background.
- It has a pool. It was a bit dirty, but a welcome inclusion. BYO towel.
- Free parking.
- The washing machines take credit card.
Cons:
- Major con was the receptionist who checked me in. He was probably the most unwelcoming hotel employee I've encountered. There was a problem with the door card reader for the room assigned to me and the man a) blamed me for deactivating the card magnet on the 30 metres to the room, b) wouldn't believe it was the card reader rather than the several recodes and replacement cards I tried, c) expected me to just use the room without closing the door, d) after pleading for a better outcome he huffily reallocated me to a less nice room. He only coded the new room for one night so I had to return to once again get it coded the next day with more gruffness. I appreciate it's not easy working reception. You deal with a lot of crazies. But when faced with a cheery new guest he was surly, lazy and belligerently unhelpful. The guy needs a different job. I read reviews indicating other receptionists were very pleasant. The man who checked me out seemed to be so, but by then the damage was done and the tone set.
- Otherwise, the rooms with interconnecting doors can get very noisy, the sheets had stains but seemed clean, no daily servicing, no fridge and the vending machine overcharged (but I doubt that's the hotel's fault). I would have questioned these things directly, but not if it involved catching that receptionist.
