"Die Bettwäsche stank bestialisch. Und auf der Bettdecke war ein schwarzer Fleck. Ansonsten war die Reinigung in Ordnung. Am Samstagabend um 21:30 Uhr gab es an der Bar keine Snacks mehr zu den Getränken. Das Personal war okay. Der Aufzug war winzig, selbst mit Gepäck. Es war extrem laut, man wurde ständig von den Nachbarn über einem gestört."

"Gutes Hotel. Ich habe dreimal im Mercure Hotel übernachtet. Einmal war ich in Blankenberge und habe über Bongobons gebucht. Ich war zweimal in Ostende und war sehr zufrieden. Ein Tipp: Überprüfen Sie die Seifennachfüllungen in der Dusche. In Blankenberge war sie am zweiten Tag leer, in Ostende war es genauso. Ansonsten war es ausgezeichnet!"

"First time in Ostend, I wanted to book a hotel near the beach and shopping areas. However, if you book here, expect no parking and to have to park quite far from the hotel, as the nearby parking lots are often crowded. When we arrived, the receptionist was rude. We had booked for 2pm, but when we arrived tired from the journey with our luggage, we were told that the room was not ready. We wanted to leave our luggage in the luggage room to enjoy the nice weather, but it is accessible to everyone, which made it impossible to leave our belongings safely. So we had to wait in front of the room without doing anything. Forty minutes later, we returned to the reception, and the receptionist finally told us that the room was ready. When we entered, we found the bed unmade, the sheets worn, hairs in the bed, wet and worn towels, sand on the floor, and many other unpleasant things. It was a real DISASTER!!, I have never seen anything like it in my life! Annoyed, we asked the receptionist for an explanation, who told us that the room would not be ready until 3:30 p.m. However, at 3:30 p.m., no cleaning lady had yet come! We wasted our entire afternoon because of this. I strongly advise against this hotel. If you are looking to stay in filth, then go there, but otherwise, move on. I wonder how this establishment was able to obtain three stars. It is money thrown out the window. In addition, the receptionist was uncooperative and unpleasant, even unfriendly. It would be wise to think about changing the staff at this level. The cleaning lady was the only pleasant and smiling person in this hotel, courageously alone to manage the seven floors. This was my first reservation on Booking, and I trusted the site after seeing the comments. I will not do it again and I will not book on this site again. Very disappointed, I should have looked for reviews on other sites. Apparently, many customers have had the same experience as me. I do not recommend this site if you want constructive opinions."

"Sehr schönes Hotel aus den 30iger-Jahren. Freundliches, lösungsorientiertes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Top Lage. Schöne grosse Zimmer. Da Alter des Hotels hat seine Tücken. Zum Teil kann man die schön grossen Fenster nicht öffnen und es ist sehr ringhörig. Wir waren zwei Nächte da und konnten wegen einer grossen Gruppe junger Sportler (es fand ein Fussball-Turnier statt), welche durchgehend Party im Zimmer machten, sehr schlecht schlafen. Das Hotelmanagement hat sich dafür bei uns in aller Form entschuldigt und uns erklärt, dass sie trotz Security-Einsatz die Situation nicht besser in den Griff bekommen konnten. Fazit! Das Hotel empfehlen wir sehr gerne."
