The room that we had was a little cosy but overall a hostel that has what you need. The staff is friendly. There’s a nice cafe downstairs and a rooftop upstairs overlooking a good view. However just a little far out from the station (~9min walk) it’ll bother you if you have to make a few trips out.

スタッフの方がフレンドリーで、いろいろと気遣ってくださいます。夜7時ぐらいにチェックインして、食事がまだだったので、一階のカフェでサンドイッチやお茶、ジェラート等を頂きました。どれもとにかくおいしく、ピーチとバジルのジェラートはさっぱりとした味で本当に癒されました。サンドイッチもお茶も本当においしいです。カフェ全体が広々とした空間で、ゆったりできます。お部屋のほうもリバービューで、窓が大きく外の自然光が入ってくるので、とても明るく気持ちよく目覚めることができます。歯ブラシやクレンジング、化粧水等のアメニティも使いやすく、チェックインの際に宿泊費と一緒に購入できてとても便利です。ドライヤーも無印良品で、シャンプーやコンディショナーも香りがリラックスできます。朝食ではグリーンスムージーとオムレツを頂きましたが、これがまた絶品でした。ふだん夜型で朝が苦手だったのですが、このホテルでは朝がとても気持ちよく、活動的になれます。次回の大阪出張も必ずこちらに宿泊したいです。本当にありがとうございました。

This was our first time in Osaka and we were very pleased that we chose Hotel Noum for our stay. The Hotel has a simple "eco" aesthetic but supplies everything you need. A great combination of excellent, helpful staff and good value in a fantastic location on the river that is away from the hustle and bustle but within close stroll of some very cool food and fashion (just ask the staff for great recommendations) as well as Temmabashi subway station for access to the express train to Kyoto (40 mins and a very cheap and enjoyable journey). Big thanks to Rinoka and Aki for making us feel at home and U, Shin and Yuki for the excellent breakfasts, coffee and advice. Highly recommended.

Although listed as suitable for two people the room was so small only one person could be moving around the room at a time if the other was in the bathroom or in bed. There was nowhere to put luggage except on the floor, which took up precious floor space. The bed was also very small and up against a wall so that one person sleeps crammed up against the wall. There’s no room to get out of bed without climbing over the other person. The room is also very spartan and made me think of a bad dorm room with a few cheap pieces of IKEA furniture, which were a small desk made useless by two stools so small only a child could use them, a single lamp on the headboard and a plastic plant hanging from the ceiling. We pushed the stools under the desk for a little extra floor space. We arrived at noon and we were not permitted to check in until 3pm, unlike every other hotel we stayed at in Japan. We were eager to secure a dinner reservation but the woman at the front desk refused to call the restaurant until after we had checked in at 3pm, and by that time the restaurant had no more reservations. The single duvet on the bed was not sufficient for two people to stay warm so we asked for a second duvet. We were instead given two blankets. The bathroom is functional. On the plus side, there is a cute rooftop that I imagine could be nice when the weather is warm but which is useless in December, and the location is good with the river and two nearby train stations and restaurants. There is also a cute cafe/lobby with overpriced Western style food and coffee but we felt that the hotel’s whole design was intended to force you out of the terrible room and into the cafe to spend money. After the bad check in experience and given the terrible room, we weren’t inclined to spend our time or money there. Each morning we just wanted to leave as soon as possible. There are a lot of very positive reviews of this hotel. We really don’t know why. We had a very different experience and would look for a different hotel if we could do it over again.

Lovely little hotel located centrally with good public transport options nearby - Temmabashi right across the canal has both rail and metro and there are two-three other stations very near as well. The room was light and well-maintained, bathroom super clean and nice. Our room had a window out toward the canal with all the sakura trees alongside it - really nice place to sit down for a while and read a book. Soundproofing was pretty good too. The breakfast was excellent, albeit on the expensive side. Really though the outstanding part of the stay was the staff; just a totally sweet, welcoming and helpful bunch of people. Definitely make sure to ask them for food recommendations! All in all we were super happy with the stay. Strongly recommended.

The staff are truly exceptional! We had a wonderful staff at Hotel Noum. The hotel is very stylish and wonderfully located by the river. The coffee and breakfast are delicious. We had a very small issue with our room and the staff went above and beyond all our expectations to ensure we were well looked after. They are incredibly friendly and also gave great recommendations on places to eat and drink. We would definitely recommend people to stay here! Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Noum!

Stayed here for 3 nights in their Double Bed Room with River View and it was such a great experience. The room was pretty cosy and came with a 2-seater sofa - very nicely decorated, clean and great amenities. My partner and I found the coin laundry/dryer to be so useful during our stay. It's a good 10 minute walk from the hotel to the closest metro/train station that's right opposite the river! There's also a really nice cafe on the ground floor of the hotel, really really good coffee and hearty western-style breakfast! The staff are all so friendly and accommodating! Special Thank you for helping us arrange a takkyubin for our luggages and for recommending great eats around the area too!

On a return trip to Osaka, I chose to stay at Hotel Noum and I'm so glad I did! A three night stay turned into eight nights due to unforeseen circumstances, and I can't recommend this hotel enough. I chose a Riverview single room and it was perfect for me/one person. Windows lined the entire room and it looked onto the river. You can also access a sweet plant-lined terrace from this room. I appreciated the laundry facilities and kitchen equipment on the 5th floor--so helpful. It is the one time I would recommend potential guests to definitely get the breakfast plan with the room. The food is terrific. Coffee too! The staff were all outstanding--front desk, management, kitchen--all amazing. They were so accommodating and really helped me out when I needed it. The neighborhood at first looks a bit quiet, but dig deeper and you'll find some excellent hidden gems--fun, cozy wine bars, cool restaurants, clothing shops and a bustling restaurant and shopping scene only a few blocks away. I was sad to leave! Thank you, Hotel Noum!! I hope to return someday soon.

Hotel Noum in Osaka is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk towards it you'll be greated by an awesome design that continues inside. The staff are super friendly, speak great English and helped us with lots of great recommendations. Really some of the best staff we've come across our 7 week trip in Japan! The room is relatively basic but has everything you need and is a good size for 2 people. Laundry room was great to have too. The breakfast in the cafe on the ground floor was amazing! It's pretty western (think avocado on toast etc.) but we were keen on that since we hadn't had this for a while. Great coffee too! The mattress wasn't the most comfortable we've slept on but we've also had worse ones tbh. The location is probably not the best since there's not a lot of sightseeing around. But that does mean it's relatively quiet and with the great public transport in Osaka this wasn't really a problem for us but can imagine it might be for others. We'd highly recommend staying here if you're coming to Osaka!
