Ich bin von diesem wunderschönen Fleckchen Erde total begeistert! Sehr schöne Zimmer mit Blick auf den Fluß. Die Nordlichter konnte ich auch von der Bettkante aus beobachten, da große Fenster! Morgens wurde ein Frühstücksbüffet angeboten mit allen üblichen Sachen wie Eier mit Schinken und Brot/Brötchen, Aufschnitt und Käse, Früchte und alles fürs Müsli. Auch Tee und Kaffee gab es reichlich, mit Milch von der Kuh oder auch die vegane Version. Ich glaube ich habe alles probiert und alles für mich als sehr schmackhaft empfunden. Und dann diese bezaubernde Natur und friedliche Stille im Schnee. Egal ob wandern oder mit Schneeschuhen, Huskyschlittenfahrt oder Rentierschlitten, Spazieren über dem zugefrorenen Fluß, es war phantastisch. Leider war ich nur eine Woche dort und am liebsten würde ich sofort wieder dorthin zurück reisen. Großen Dank an Majou, Illka und Pertti.

We wanted to see the Northern Lights so we headed to the northern most place we could in Finland! We came to Utsjoki and we checked into an amazing little cabin with 2 bedrooms that fit 4 easily, a great living space and a bathroom with a sauna! The food is amazing, the guides are helpful and engaging, and the owner is really wonderful. I highly recommend staying here and if you are here in the winter do the Sami dinner experience. It is amazing learning about the culture over such tasty food.

The cottage is tidy and cozy and very close to Teno river. The view is fantastic. It is a really peaceful view and the river is different every day. It is nice to watch it changing every day. We warmly recommend these cottages.

We were there for Midsummer and we were a bit suprise for the level of services we got, rather poor. It´s clear that the place during winter is full of people, with plenty of activities to do and organised. In the summer, that was not the case. We had a B&B accomodation for 3 nights, and we had to litterally beg the breakfast... No one to ask for recomendations on what to do, or activities organised, as the girl at the restaurannt was not helpful at all (when she was there). Probably we arrived in the middle of their holidays, but again if you have a place like this a minimum of organisation is requested. then eventually having the coffee surrounded by rendeers is very nice, but you need to get the coffe!

So warm welcome, so warm stay... small but very modern hotel by the mighty Teno -river. Even Fishing is now prohibited this year, there was plenty of things to do. The Deatnu -restaurant offered so tasty gourmet from Lapland, that will never vanish... Strong recommendation!
