I had stayed at this hotel before and was aware of how hot the rooms could become, as they do not have air conditioning and the windows are usually left open to circulate air. When we arrived and checked in around 3 pm, I immediately noticed cobwebs between the window and curtain. In an effort to ensure a clean and comfortable stay, I promptly wiped down the window and curtain and closed the window. We left the hotel shortly after checking in and returned after 7 pm. While my two young children [2 and 5 years old] were playing in the room, my daughter screamed about something being in her mouth. We then noticed cobwebs around the table where she was playing. At this point, I decided to check for more cobwebs and found them in all the corners of the room, beside the bed, and near the bathroom door. Additionally, there was mould in the bathroom. I raised this matter with a member of staff at the front desk and showed a video of how dirty the room was. He advised me that he could not do anything and suggested I speak to the manager in the morning. The next morning, I spoke to the manager and showed her the video. She asked if we were staying another night; I said no, and she reported that she could not do anything and encouraged me to complete the feedback form online. My main issue with the room was its dirtiness and the presence of mould, which I feel is unacceptable.
