The hotel is near to the itao shopping street and the whole hotel is entirely made up of wood. So there is no lift. The breakfast was so so only and also there was one morning where there is a lot of ppl for breakfast and the food refills was slow.

It has many amenities like a steam room, dry sauna, and hot tub. It has great views and wonderful service.

Hotel is a wooden building which is quite special. When enter the hotel you can smell the hinoki aroma it can help you feel very relaxed. Sound proof effect is quite bad

The decoration and furniture tell the history of this hotel. Their staff treated us with full hospitality. Also the hotel is near the street where some restaurants and snack shops are located.

We really enjoyed staying here to the point we extended 2 more nights here. A total of 5 days was a full of blast experience! Kudos to the butler he's so friendly indeed! Sadly, I didn't see him on the day of our checked out to give some token of appreciation. As far as I remember he was dutied during the days 3/24-26 and we checked out 3/27.

The location of this hotel is super, the lake view room has a wonderful view of the lake. The breakfast is also marvelous with lots choices.

I had a wonderful stay at the Richforest Hotel in Sun Moon Lake. The balcony view overlooking the lake was absolutely stunning—a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of the surroundings. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless and well-maintained, which made the stay even more comfortable. The peaceful atmosphere and excellent service made this a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

The receptionist communicated well. The room is all made of wood and smells like cypress. However, other ancillary facilities are outdated and very different from the website description.

The hotel locates in a very convenient spot, a few minute walk from the ferry pier as well as the walking streets with a lot of foods. The hotel breakfast has a variety of foods and they taste good. I like the restaurant there because it has a lake view which makes the breakfast very enjoyable. The hotel staff is quite friendly but a little bit quiet. The hotel is old but still in a good condition. The building is made of woods so the staff will kindly inform you to walk quietly not to disturb other guests. The hotel provided us with a discount coupon to rent bike at nearby shops.
