We wanted a break from the constant pollution & hustle bustle of the city. Hence, our goal was to be in the lap of nature so zeroed in on Cottage Ananda. It is a small quaint homestay nestled in lush green surroundings amidst the majestic Himalayas. It gives you the feel of a home away from home. It blends in completely with the nature & beauty around. There are around 9 rooms - 5 per floor ( we were booked in room 102 ). The room's decor is aesthetic & eco-friendly with all the amenities & facilities. Each room is attached to a huge& spacious private balcony that overlooks the forest, mountain slopes undulating into the haze on the horizon. The wind is persistent & blows throughout the day. One could just laze onto the chair with a hot cuppa of their masala chai or fabulous coffe ! Or read a book, sit back & relax ! One note of caution - please do not expect 5 star luxury amenities but we can guarantee that you can enjoy a laid back vacation & an experience to live amidst nature! This is solely for guests, travelers who seek solitude, serenity, relax, rejuvenate. Last but not the least - hospitality of the staff ( Chandan & Akash) were the best. The food menu is limited but it is enough to quel one's appetite! The dishes that they prepared - aloo peyaz parantha, Maggie, Mixed Pakoras, Pahadi chicken, Dal Fry, Tawa roti were simply out of this world !! They were finger licking & yummilicious 😋 They do their job well, courteous, polite & friendly. Hats off to their resilience & officious nature - I say that as we time & again kept ordering the masala chai & coffee which were to die for !! To sum it up - a wonderful stay with ever smiling staff & luscious serene surroundings which made our experience enthralling & exciting 🤗🥰

The property is in bad shape. Rooms were not good. Television was not working. There was no hot water in washroom. After complaining they changed the room. booking were given the lowest floor. No generator for electricity. It was really disappointing to pay such a good amount of money for such a terrible property

very beautiful cottage near balugarh waterfall on way to mukteshwar via kashiylekh, rooms are big and clean, cottage near road, nice view, safe for family and kids, in house restaurant 😊

Property is well built and spacious but badly kempt. Cleanliness was an issue. No proper toiletries placed. Cafeteria was stinky, dishes and tables were also vriksh, si we avoided to there for the most part. Recreational area was not functional and made a broken furniture store out of it. Bad experience overall.
