Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hidden Lodge Queenstown Only a 5 minute drive from the heart of town and central to all the local highlights that you will want to visit - make sure you take the 40 minute drive upto Glenorchy for some beautiful views. The property itself is immaculate with a homely feel but with everything you need. Shared spaces of dining room, comfy couches in front of a fireplace, sauna and even a hot tub! The rooms are comfy with everything you want after a day of exploring Queenstown. Super comfortable bed, strong hot shower and an incredible view from every window. As previously said by other guests - the highlight are the hosts David & Wendy. Knowledgeable and engaging locals who are happy to provide tips and suggestions to ensure you enjoy your trip to the fullest. David makes a great coffee and breaky and has plenty of wine knowledge to help you find the best wines in Queenstown, and Wendy is just a ray of sunshine who makes sure you feel at home while also giving the greatest tips on local restaurants and bars. Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay - I will definitely be back - maybe for Spring or Summer! Do yourself a favour and stay here when in Queenstown - you won’t regret it!!

We booked a room with two single beds and yet they provided us with a King size bed upon arrival. We expressed our concern to the reception and they said there is no guarantee for the room type booked especially during peak season, and they even said it is a common situation in New Zealand, which I personally haven’t encountered in other 4 hotels during my stay. I ended up paying extra for an extra bed so that my frd and I can sleep separately. The customer service from trip.com provided assistance instantly when we expressed our concern to them and they agreed to compensate the extra that I paid. Apart from that, the hotel is clearly understaffed as there were times that there is no one at the reception and I didn’t think the staff were very attentive and helpful either. Also, there were not enough parking space in there car park so we were forced to park outside the hotel as directed by the staff but then the staff called our room at 6:30 the next morning telling us to park our car back into the garage as people started leaving. All things aside, the location of the hotel is great as it is beside the lake and is close to the city centre. To conclude, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to others.

I stayed here two nights on a Riviera Tour of New Zealand. The hotel consists of different linked buildings. However it is very easy to get lost despite them giving you a map. Our rooms overlooked the gardens unfortunately and not the lake. The rooms were ok. A bit tired and in need of refurbishment. However the beds were comfortable with good quality bedding and pillows. The location of the Hotel is at the top of a very steep hill that leads into Queenstown. The walk up is taxing for older people so be aware. The hotel has the usual facilities of bar, restaurant gym and pool. I can't comment on the gym or pool as we did not have time to use it. The outlook from the hotel is over the lake towards the Remarkable Mountains one of the locations used in Lord of the Rings. It is an absolutely stunning place. Queenstown has lots to do. We took advantage of this. The breakfast was good with hot and cold buffet. Plenty of fresh fruit and pastries as well. A group of us ate in the bar on evening after a tour. Everyone enjoyed their food. Drinks were not to expensive either. The place is a pain to find your way round, so allow time for getting lost when meeting people.

Nice hotel very close to the airport. The airport and the town are a good 20 minute drive away so don’t stay in this area if you want to be near queenstown. Comfortable room and nice shower. The restaurant for dinner made good food and the gym though basic is better provisioned than many around New Zealand.

Whilst this is an hotel that is rated as a luxury hotel there are a few features which don’t justify that title. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable, and most have beautiful views of the lake. However there are a few things that are irritating. Being offered a coffee on arrival and then realise you have to pay for it, having to ask for enough tea and coffee every day, and always having to ask for more milk. The room service menu is very limited and not available when it says. We had to order an early breakfast which came in a carrier bag, with no milk or yogurt. Eating muesli dry is not fun! Apparently they had run out of yoghurt? I am sure when these minor details are ironed out the Rees would be truly classed as a luxury hotel.

My mum's 80th birthday adventure and the accommodation was faultless - we stayed 3 nights on a ground floor apartment. We requested twin beds - super comfortable, nice linen, warm and cosy. The bedroom is at the back of the apartment so lovely and quiet with no road noise. Fabulous lakefront location and only 3 mins easy flat walk to restaurants and bars. Highly recommend. Next time will try for a first floor apartment to have a balcony and view. Looking forward to coming back!

Das Queenstown House liegt höher, so dass der Ausblick, den wir hatten, wahnsinnig toll war. Nach einer herzlichen Begrüßung folgte eine Willkommenszeremonie, in der wir uns an sehr guten Weinen bedienen konnten. Dazu wurden verschiedene Pizzen gereicht. Das Zimmer war schön, außer einer sehr beengten Toilette in dem Bad. Wir konnten in dem House unsere Wäsche waschen!! Super!! Das Frühstück war toll!!!

TTrail52119469210Good location, comfy room with balcony with partial sea view. Had everything you needed but was a bit of a strange layout in the whole complex. To get to our room from reception we could get part of the way by a lift but then had to go outside twice to get to the right block. However, there was parking in the basement which had a direct lift up to the floor we were on. Like most places in Queenstown, there was a lot of building work going on & roadworks which made things a bit awkward but not impossible. Staff were friendly & helpful. There was a restaurant on site but we indulged in room service which was excellent.

GGuest UserI stayed at the La Quinta Wyndham for 2 weeks in March of 2023. I didn't rent a car. The friendly staff went out of their way to teach me how to be able to travel around Queenstown New Zealand via the public transportation system. House keeping was excellent. They even put my dirty dishes in the dishwasher at times for me.

GGuest UserIch blieb in einem King Mountain View Zimmer, und während das Zimmer fühlte sich klein, war es für die Tatsache, dass es neu, modern, gut konzipiert und komfortabel war. Der offene Plan-Eingang und Lobbybereich fühlte sich willkommen. Das im Zimmerpreis enthaltene Frühstücksbuffet war wesentlich und super bequem, um vor dem Aufstieg auf den Berg jeden Morgen früh zu fahren. Und glückliche Stunde in der Lobby in den Abenden 5-7pm. Es ist 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Stadtbeginn und 9 Minuten zu Fuß zum NZ Skibus. Auf der Rückfahrt zum Hotel gibt es einen Block von Steep Hill zu Fuß, aber es ist nur eine zweiminütige Sektion. Obwohl es nur einen kurzen Spaziergang in die Stadt war, nach einem ganzen Tag auf dem Schnee, reisen zurück und vierte zum Berg, war es schwer, die Energie zu bekommen, um in die Stadt zu Abend zu gehen, zu kalt und müde. Ich habe den Bus vom Flughafen zum Hotel gefangen, das super einfach und eine schnelle 20-minütige Fahrt war. Der Flughafenbushalte ist direkt außerhalb des Terminals. Ich habe eine Bee-Karte auf dem Bus für $5 gekauft und die Reise war nur $1 für Erwachsene und 0.75c für Kinder. Der Bus stand direkt auf Blue Peaks über die Straße vom Hotel. Und die Rückfahrt zum Flughafen war genauso einfach. Insgesamt ein großer Aufenthalt, mit neuen modernen Einrichtungen, eine ziemlich zentrale Lage und freundliches Personal.

GGuest UserLake view rooms are perfect. The hotel is ok and as a Mercure, pricing is reflective in the higher end. It’s about a 20 minute walk into town which is downhill. To many sherbets and coming back I would recommend a lift. The local bus is halfway down the hill also. Bar staff and restaurant staff are smiling and helpful. Front desk need to take some learnings from them. Dinner 1 night was a nice meal accompanied by a nice wine and very pleasant service. Breakfast….save your money and head into town. You are paying for the view. Pay as you go as you don’t want a surprise when you check out.

YYANGSIEtwas entfernt vom Zentrum von Queenstown, ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Auf der Rückfahrt von der Stadt zum Hotel ging es bergauf, was für ältere Menschen etwas stressig sein kann. Das Zimmer war komfortabel mit 2 Bädern und das Bett war bequem. Die Aussicht vom Wohnzimmer ist gut.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel so we could be close to LUMA. I read some really mixed reviews and was a little nervous. But we had the BEST stay! Right from calling up as I made a mistake booking online, the man who I spoke to was so helpful, accommodating my large family group over three rooms . It was a really really busy weekend at the hotel with Luma on and kings birthday, but the staff were all so lovely and friendly despite being run off their feet, Highlights were the comfiest beds ever, the fab spa pool which was a hit with us adults and kids( you book a slot at reception), and the amazing lake front view from the lake front rooms. There was even a kids corner near reception with Xbox game, books and a few toys. The reviews online had been average for the breakfast. While it wasn’t ground-breaking, it was more than fine and the custard danish pastries were delicious! Overall, we had a fab stay and would definitely book again.

NNur RuzannaAlles sauber und gut, außer dass es einen nach dem Kochen gefüllten Geruch von dem vorherigen Bewohner, es ist nur offensichtlich, wenn wir gerade ins Zimmer, aber nach einer Weile ist es tragbar. Die Lage ist gut, etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Stadtzentrum mit nicht zu viele Etagen. Check-in und Check-out war bequem, und große Online-Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber mit sehr schnellen Antworten. Kücheneinrichtungen waren komplett und schön. Nach unserer ersten Dusche lief jedoch Duschegel aus. Ironing Board Deckung zu dünn und der Stand scheint nicht sehr stabil, wahrscheinlich eine Ersetzung benötigt. Insgesamt, immer noch ein anständiger und angenehmer Aufenthalt.

CCarlieMSWe stayed here two separete nights. We booked in advance and we were nervous to book the same hostel in case we didn't like it, but fortunately we did and it didn't dissapoint at all. The recepcionist was nice and welcoming to us, everything is clean, it has several kitchens and the common room is like a huge family room with sofa, covers, TV and board games all super cozy which is the perfect enviroment to NOT have a heart attack when you find out that the borders where you are connecting home are all closed and probably you'll have to stay in NZ forever (not a bad thing tho, but I was pretty poor at that point, lol). Anyway, the people is nice, the dorm room has its own bathroom inside which is a massive YES! The lockers are huge plus there are tiny lockers with outlets inside to put your devices (genious). The bunks are hardly bunks because they are pretty solid wood-made so even if your bunkmate moves a lot you won't notice. It has a courtine which is awesome for privacy, its own night light and outlets by your bed. Maybe the only downside is that the parking lot is really (really) tiny, which makes it very difficult to maneuver, specially when you have never driven in the left before, jaja. Other than that, awesome stay, if I ever go back to Queenstown, definetely would stay here again! :)

Ich habe eine Frau mit drei anderen Frauen geteilt und hatte eine tolle Zeit, die Leute zu kennen, die in und aus kommen. Das geteilte Badezimmer war immer sauber (täglich sauber).
Die Gemeindeküche ist groß und gut organisiert. Sie können Gewürze nutzen, die hinterlassen werden. Da es noch kalt war, gibt es immer Feuer, die sowohl in der Rezeption als auch im gemeinsamen Raum verbrennen. Es macht die Atmosphäre sehr gemütlich.
Der beste Service, den ich bekam, war von ihrem Informationsdesk, der im Empfangsbereich liegt. Da ich keine Kreditkarte hatte und Unternehmen wie Snowbiz in der Stadt nicht Bargeld akzeptieren, konnte ich für Skipasse und Miete bezahlen, indem ich eine Buchung am Service Desk (sie haben eine Kartenmaschine und auch Bargeld akzeptieren).

Diese Seite des Hostels, wo mein Zimmer war, erlebt nur eine Menge Lärm, da es Bars unten gibt, trotz der Schleiftür ist Sound-sicher. Nicht alle Leselampen für jedes Bett arbeiten und müssen auch befestigt werden. Die Dusche leckte viel Wasser, da die Glastür nicht richtig geschlossen ist.
Insgesamt jedoch, ein großer Aufenthalt und Wert für Geld. Sie sparen auf Unterkunft, da QT eine teure Stadt zu besuchen ist.
