Hotel liegt im Zentrum von Monte Gordo und hat, soweit erkennbar, keine eigenen Parkplätze. Es gibt allerdings gegenüber ein paar öffentliche. Das Zimmer war eher klein, aber gut eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war OK. Nicht so gut war der lösliche Kaffee. Vollmilchjoghurt habe ich nicht entdeckt, Brot einfache Aufbackware.

Poor old rooms, too noisy, can hear all other rooms and outside street, almost no privacy, old hotel, fair price with breakfast swimming pool and good location.

Hotelkamer krijgt een krappe voldoende, 3 sterren is wel het max. Ontbijt heeft geen variatie, is matig. Schoonmaak kamer voldoende. Onderhoud (te) kleine liften zorgelijk. Werkzaamheden in/rond het hotel niet prettig (geluidsoverlast); ter plaatse informeert het hotel de gasten wel over deze werkzaamheden (overdag).

Das Frühstück war OK. Nicht so gut war der lösliche Kaffee. Vollmilchjoghurt habe ich nicht entdeckt, Brot einfache Aufbackware. Es gab Mozzarella. Das Hotel war inklusive Frühstücksbuffet sehr günstig. Der Preis explodierte dann allerdings (100 Euro im Winter) , so das ich das Hotel wechseln musste. Personal etwas steif, aber kompetent

Das Hotel wurde zwischenzeitlich renoviert, was sich in den zweckmäßig eingerichten Zimmern u. a. durch eine einheitliche Balkongröße, sowie eine modernisierte Türsicherung zeigt. Auch die früher eher eingeschränkte Menu-Auswahl beim Abendessen, ist heute einem abwechslungsreicheren Buffet-Angebot gewichen. Das Hotel liegt zentral und nur wenige Gehminuten vom Sandstrand entfernt. Das Personal war hilfsbereit und freundlich, in Bezug auf Reinigung und Sauberkeit der Zimmer hatten wir keine Beanstandungen. Obwohl die Hotelzimmer und der Frühstücksraum per Aufzug zu erreichen sind und auch das Foyer ebenfalls rollstuhlgerecht verändert wurde, konnte der mehrstufige Eingangsbereich wegen unmittelbaren Angrenzens an den Gehsteig aus vermutlich baurechtlichen Gründen, auch nach erfolgter Renovierung des Hotels leider nicht barrierefrei umgestaltet werden.

Enjoyed our stay here for 9 nights very relaxing hotel food was very good staff were all very nice room spotless .. Martha at the front desk was lovely and helpful most guests were mature that suited us near everything beach minutes away lovely long board walk even an Irish Pub will be back for a longer stay in March 2025

We spent 6 nights at this hotel which is very close to the beach. Food was varied and excellent quality with a different theme every day. Staff friendly and helpful, spotless rooms which were cleaned every day. Rooftop pool is small and not really big enough for a swim, but sits in a covered area so you can use it whatever the weather. Easy walking distance to the next town (Vila Real de San Antonio) where you can take a ferry to Ayamonte in Spain for €2.50pp

Nice hotel but needs a major update. Food was nice but not much choice. Some of the staff nice and chatty, but others, quite miserable. Rooms clean and comfortable but need updating, room had a fridge and air con which was a bonus. TV was good for music channels.

We had a fortnight's holiday from the 1st May and found the following:- Great location. Spotlessly clean. Excellent staff. The only downside was that the food was not very hot although the choice and quality was very good. The other thing was that there was only one accessible electricity socket in the room.

The room was basic but clean. As we were at the back of the hotel the view was limited to the rears of other buildings. Friendly and helpful staff. Good choice for breakfast. There was only one socket in the room and the loo was too close to the washbasin so somewhat cramped.

We have spent 7 nights here, (belated honeymoon) half board. First time in my life I've stayed half board and every meal was delicious. Breakfast was a full cold and hot buffet, with tasty bacon and eggs, fresh fruit and lovely coffee. Every member of staff were friendly and always with a smile. Dinners were outstanding, hot and cold buffet, with a choice of a fish or meat dish. Desserts to die for. I swear I've put on weight. Everything delicious. Reception staff very helpful, printing out boarding passes with no problems. The location is perfect, just a stone throw from the beach, with multiple cafes and bars within yards of hotel. (Even tho its low season, enough places open. The only downfall, no kettle or coffee facilities in the room. That would have made the stay perfect, but hey ho, the rest makes up for it. Definitely recommend,and will be back (with a travel kettle!)

Hotel was very close to the beach with bars and shops within easy distance. A lovely decorated foyer area with good helpful staff. Room was adequate but not large. A small balcony overlooked the road and a side view to the beach. beds were good and the only down side was there were no hot drink making faciklities. It had 2 lifts, one of which was out of action for our stay, this wasnt really an isue as the hotel didnt seem that busy, nut could be a bigger problem when it was. Room was attended to and beds made every day. I thought the restaurant was lovely well set out and not to busy, although it was just out of season. The restaurant staff were probably the most attentive I have yet to see in a hotel. always smiling and removing used plates and utensils quickly. Breakfast was a good a great choice of prepared fresh and tinned fruits, a small choice of hot food, yogurts, pastries, cooked meats etc. Fruit juice, tea and coffee machines. Evening meal always had a soup, choice of fish and meat, along with selection of vegetables. a huge array of salad items and probably the best display of chilled deserts ive seen in most hotels. The only down side to the food was.. I never had any food that was actually hot, it all seemed just luke warm to me. The roof area was quiet and the pool not large, but adequate for a little dip. A bar was open on the roof if you required a drink. All in all, a great 5 days away at an unbeleivable price for what we got. SHould I return to Monte Gordo, I wouldnt hessitate to stay again.

Stayed with my husband for a week of winter sun. Great location, good size room, lovely staff, clean and with a varied food selection (soup followed by fish or meat choice every night). Hot rolls and freshly baked (mini) croissants were delicious.. We stayed in a 55+ comfort room on a half board basis, which included 1 free drink (beer, wine or soft drink) with dinner. Overall great value for money
