Il Girasole is perfect. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is delicious. The garden courtyard is beautiful. The decor is charming. But most of all, the hosts are so friendly and kind! Even though we only stayed a short time, they made us feel like family. I can't put it into words: you must visit for yourself. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Milan.

The hotel/guesthouse is easily reached from the centre of Milan by metro followed by a short walk (past a nice bakery). Il Girasole looks unconventional, being a converted factory building. A nice courtyard is hidden behind a metal entrance door. Matteo and his brother are extremely nice hosts, who can provide enthusiastic advice on sightseeing in Milan.
Our room was one of the two behind the courtyard which, unfortunately, the WiFi signal from the main building didn't reach - but was fine if you sat outside near reception/breakfast room.
Room was clean and comfortable and spacious enough for chairs and a table. Bed was too firm for me (not my wife) so just luck of the draw.
No tea/coffee making facilities per the property description, but also no glass for a drink of water (complimentary bottle of water for the first night).
Nice breakfast: tea or coffee, a glass of fruit juice, a croissant and a salami and/or cheese roll.

Matteo our host was super friendly and welcoming and helpful.Inside garden and rooms a delight as it is in an previous industrial area.It was very hot out that was the only thing I didn’t like.Metroto Centre of Milan in 15 minutes was great and easy.

Accoglienza impeccabile, i due fratelli che gestiscono l’hotel sono estremamente gentili e simpatici. L’hotel è curato in ogni dettaglio, dalle camere alle zone in comune. Molto carino, soprattutto il giardino esterno. Piacevolissimo soggiorno. Camera pulita e ben preparata per il nostro arrivo. Sicuramente ci torneremo.

Ho scelto questo BB perché cercavo un posto semplice per una notte vicino alle sedi di lavoro. Sono arrivata tardi la sera e già per telefono ho avuto l’impressione di una grande gentilezza e disponibilità dei proprietari. La camera è basic ma ha tutto ed è molto pulita. La sorpresa della mattina: un cortile interno pieno di verde, salottini con arredi vintage recuperati e un tavolo per la colazione social sul quale sentirsi tutti in famiglia. Accoglienza veramente top complimenti a Matteo e Nicola

È come andare a trovare due amici. Ci siamo passati davanti perché l’ingresso è veramente anonimo, brutto. Una grande entrata di metallo verniciata di rosso. Quando si entra però vieni proiettato in un mondo vintage, retrò. Sembra un mercatino dell’ antiquariato. Molto verde. Un ambiente veramente piacevole, accogliente. Sembra di entrare in casa di due amici, Nicola e Matteo. Due gestori di una simpatia e gentilezza unica. Anche la reception e le annesse salette per la colazione sono particolari, belle, diverse. La stanza grande, semplice, essenziale e molto pulita. Un tre stelle pieno, vicinissimo alla fermata metro linea rossa Villa San Giovanni. Matteo è anche interista cosa che ce lo ha reso ancora più simpatico. Il gol di Lukaku contro il Porto lo dedichiamo anche a lui. Anche la colazione buona. Si viene serviti al tavolo. Buon cappuccino o latte, succhi ed un panino con salame. Verrò sicuramente di nuovo in occasione di fiere di lavoro o altre partite della nostra amata Inter!

La struttura è un gioiellino, una piccola oasi di tranquillità col suo giardino interno, in una posizione strategica con la fermata della metro a 2 minuti a piedi. Camere spaziose, silenziose e pulitissime, dotate di ogni comfort, colazione abbondante e molto variegata. E che di dire di Nicola e Matteo? Sono persone squisite. Lo consiglio vivamente! Se potessi, darei 10 stelle

Hotel molto accogliente e caratteristico in zona nord Milano. La stanza tripla che ho utilizzato era in ottime condizioni, pulitissima e con tutti i comfort, la colazione eccellente (cappuccino e cornetto con la marmellata davvero ottimi ma soprattutto la michetta col salame che mi preparava mia mamma quando ero bambino... una vera e propria madeleine proustiana della milanesità! Matteo e Nicola sono anfitrioni gentilissimi e disponibilissimi, e il giardino interno dove servono colazioni e aperitivi è il tocco in più che dimostra la loro inventiva e originalità. Consigliatissimo.
