So it's a bit different here. They run with a low staffing model, the person who checks you in, also runs the bar and serves at tables. There is no servicing of bedrooms on intermediate days during your stay. There is no attendant at the pool or gym. That said, it kind of works. They supply you with plentiful supplies of towels, loo roll etc, and off you go. The other thing that's a bit different is the rooms, which are reconfigurable - we arrived to find two double beds in our room and decided to fold one of them up into the wall and out popped a table and chairs. The room had plenty of drawer and hanging space, but could have used a bit more central lighting and a safe. The place is kept very clean. Ask for a room with a lake view, the sunsets are amazing.Nice small beach out there too. I swam in the lovely pool every day, as the only person there, and it felt like it was a brand new pool and I was the first person ever to use it ! Good breakfast for C$15. All Staff were friendly, most spoke good English, and those who didn't tried, and were very patient. Having stayed at corporate chain hotels all the way from Toronto, this was a refreshing and much cheaper change

Excellent service, very nice for kids, restaurant is awesome. The view from the rooms is breathtaking.

The last night was extremely noisy late in the night , up to two o’clock, due to the fact that people were celebrating

Amazing grounds with stunning views. The staff is friendly and helpful. Only drawback is the sink got stuck and the shower has no pressure. We loved the large balcony overlooking the lake. You can rent a kayak or a paddle board on the private beach.

Wow! What a place! Incredible view of Lac St-Jean directly from the room. This one was also huge and well clean. The staff were also very kind and friendly to us. The beach is awesome with a lot of water sports to do like kayak, paddle, canoe etc. Definitly a must place to stay in Saint-Gedeon.

Nous avons apprécié l’endroit bien situé ,la chambre propre avec la possibilité de la transformer en salon ,ou table pour manger et replacer les lits pour le coucher en soirée.Le balcon offre une très vue belle vue face au Lac St-Jean. La prestation du personnel était correct.Nous avons pris un repas au restaurent Rang 9 c’était bon et bien présenté mais trop cher pour certain plates: le jarret de sanglier ne vaut pas 82$ ( 55$) serait plus approprié un moyen gamme qui se prend pour un haut de gamme.Les déjeuners étaient très bons variés et prix très correct.Deux petits bémols cependant lors de mon séjours, d’abord il manque des éléments importants dans le coin cuisine; ex: un 2e chaudron et une 2e poêle à frire,il n’y avait aucuns bols pour la soupe ou les céréales et quelques assiettes supplémentaires pour servir des mets ainsi qu’une cuillère de service et un couteau pour trancher le pain ou la viande .De plus aucun contenant pour la glace dans la chambre ni machine à n’est disponible dans l’hôtel.Au bar on m’a offert un verre de glace ou d’acheter un sac pour 5$.Pour moi c’est inacceptable.Le deuxième bémol c’est qu’ils se préparaient pour une grosse réception de mariage sur la plage , montage d’un chapiteau ,présence de camions et matériaux partout mais lorsque le tracteur passait en avant et derrière moi c’était trop. Je comprends qu’ils n’avaient pas le choix pour installer les équipements mais moi j’ai payer le même prix pour une prestation diminué.J’aurais aimé des excuses pour les inconvénients et le bruit et même une réduction ,un repas,une bouteille de vin quelque chose de significatif qui démontrerait plus de professionnalisme.Je vous recommande tout de même cet hôtel pour votre séjour à St-Gedeon.Oups! Si vous avez un problème de genoux il n’y a pas d’ascenseur!
