One of the best places to stay in Matera. Great service with parking. Restaurant Regina Corte is a must do. Dinner was excellent and the view is amazing. Location: the best! Rooms are a good size and beautiful decorated in modern style.

Beautiful hotel and rooms! We really had a nice time in Matera and the rooms in the cave.

The location of the hotel is just next to the James Bond movie scene and facing the valley. The room is spacious and with excellent amenities. Staff are responsive and extremely helpful

酒店在馬泰拉很好的位置，客房分散，所以房型會有很大差別。酒店接送服務也解決了自駕的**煩。到店後分配的房型與預訂不符，酒店説兩日均已滿房，待訂方未做明確標註，所以酒店自發降了標，請攜程幫忙溝通也無法再調房，無奈衹能接受。但過程中攜程給予了很大幫助。兩晚均在酒店餐廳用餐，比較推薦pizza店。

Das Hotel befindet sich im schönsten Teil Materas, die Aussicht ist wirklich fantastisch. Das Personal hat alles getan, um unseren Verbleib so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Im Restaurant Regia Corta hat man eine atemberaubende Aussicht über die Altstadt und das Tal, und es bietet regionale Speisen von absoluter Spitzenqualität. Wenn Sie hier verbleiben, buchen Sie Suite mit Nummer 20, besser kommt es nicht.

Es war ein wunderbares Erlebnis im Hotel Sant'Angelo, von wo aus ganz Matera fußläufig bestens zu erkunden war. Wir hatten ein schönes modernes Zimmer und alle waren extrem freundlich!

Originelles, modernes und stylisches, dezentrales Hotelkonzept mit Zimmern und Restaurants auf mehrere Objekte verteilt direkt im Herzen von historische Matera. Zimmer sind in historischen Felswohnungen („Sassi“) eingebaut, sehr großzügig und mit jeglichem zeitgemäßen Komfort ausgestattet. Feines Frühstück ebenfalls in einem „Sassi“ mit tollem Panorama. Perfekt auch der nahtlose Service vom Parkplatz (vor der Stadt) zum Hotel!

Zunächst die positiven Punkte: Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage und bietet eine herrliche Aussicht. Auch das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, und der Ausblick von der Terrasse wunderbar. Doch der Rest hielt unseren Erwartungen an ein 5.Sterne-Haus leider nicht stand. Angefangen bei der Ausstattung des Zimmers (der Fußboden ist dringend renovierungsbedürftig) über die Öffnungszeiten des Restaurants (nur am Abend und nur mit Menu-Option) bis hin zu einem unzureichenden Serviceangebot (wie z.B.Leseraum, Fitnessraum, Spa oder ähnliches). Auch muss man wissen, dass man in diesem Hotel viele Treppen zurücklegen muss, was nicht bei Jedermann gegeben ist. Insgesamt stimmt nach unserem Empfinden das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht, oder waren unsere Erwartungen an ein 5-Sterne-Haus zu hoch?

Schönes Hotel, wundervolles Zimmer (Junior Suite im Palazietta-Bereich). Die Lage ist großartig, aber um zum Frühstück zu gelangen, sind natürlich einige Treppen erforderlich, und es gibt ein sehr schönes Frühstücksbuffet. Aber die Treppe lohnt sich wegen der atemberaubenden Aussicht. Bequemes Bett, großes Badezimmer. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Leicht zu Fuß (relativ einfach) zu den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten von Matera. Das Parken ist teuer (und etwas schwer zu finden), aber es lohnt sich, und der Shuttleservice bringt Sie direkt zum Hotel. Alles in allem eine wunderbare Erfahrung. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten, wenn wir nach Matera zurückkehren.

From the moment we arrived at this stunning 5-star hotel in Matera, we felt that we are somewhere special. My Fiancé and I just got engaged, and we knew that this hotel will offer not only luxurious comfort but also a truly authentic Italian experience, during such a special time for us. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help. They took extra care of us seeing me being 7 months pregnant. We got the room with privet balcony, overlooking the stunning view over hills and old town center. Spacious, elegant and beautiful in its simplicity, reflected the hotel’s commitment to excellence. One of the most memorable aspects of our stay was meeting the owner, Biagio. A true gentleman who embodies the spirit of hospitality. Passion for His hotel and for making us feel special, was evident in every detail—from the way he greeted us, to the way He personally make sure we were perfectly look after. Biagio’s presence gave the hotel a soul; he didn’t just run a luxury establishment—he created a home away from home. It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely devoted to make sure that His Guests and their comfort come first. He left lasting impression on us… This hotel truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We’re already dreaming of our next visit! Hopefully next year with our little one. Thank you Biagio! 🙂

Took a 90 minute tour booked by the hotel, came back to find we were robbed. Safety is the absolute bare minimum. If you don’t even have that at a 5 star hotel, why bother. Our room was well up a mountain (easily a 7 minute winding, challenging trek straight up hill), not right on the street or any easy mark/crime of opportunity. It was clearly an inside job- either the hotel staff or they vendor they work with saw their chance while we were scheduled to be away for 90 minutes. Either way, filed a police report, will contact the embassy and will ensure everyone is warned about this hotel and tour provider (Ape Tour Matera- Paolo).

We very much enjoyed the ambiance, room and service during our amazing stay in Matera. You have a wonderful hotel, excellently situated in and unique and amazing location. My one suggestion, when you are advising clients that an option is to walk down to the hotel, you should ensure that you tell them to ignore google maps and take the road and not the stairs.

This is a unique place to stay and feel close to the history of Matera. The hotel is very elegant and the service impeccable.
