Slept 8-straight hours which indicates that it was a comfy stay. room is clean. i did not feel bed bug bites nor see insects. Room was equipped with basic amenities that travelers like me would need. Housekeeping followed my request NOT to come in in the middle of my stay. Theres elevator. too.

The hotel is okay, breakfast is plated and not buffet but do taste good, only complaint is the water pressure / shower is very weak.

I loved their breakfast and their staff for being so nice and considerate. The environment is cool and their restaurants offer a different variety of foods! Must a try!

1. The picture posted of the bathroom was not the same as the actual one we stayed at. The batgroom looked unclean, the shower curtain had yellow stains at the bottom, the door stopper was already rusty, as well as the shower knobs had some rust stains, the water in the sink had no pressure so the flow of water was so little. 2. The room had a weird smell. It wasn't a bad smell but wasn't good either. It was like somewhat a rusty or dust like smell. 3. The lighting was very bad in the main room. There were only two lights: one main white light, which was not that strong and another one at the entrance of the door which was a yellow light that was gery dim as well. 4. The front desk upon check-in was helpful when we wanted to do early check-in. We called ahead and they reserved us the room but I had to be the one to ask for the free breakfast stub because they didn't give us any despite seeing our booking had a free one. It didn't matter much that they forgot since they gave it to me when I asked. 5. I requested my breakfast for takeout to be delivered at 7am, and when I didn't receive it at 7:45am, I called the front desk to just cancel it as I'll just go donw myself at the restaurant. When I got there, the staff said that they were supposed to give it to me exactly when I called that they were already at the elevator, which I doubt since the front desk didn't mention that during the call. I was about to brush it off that they didn't deliver it at 7am, but they suddenly made excuses, so it made me upset a bit since it made me feel like I was unreasonable to cancel it.

The place is just fine for solo traveler like me. Small room, only shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush. No soap and slippers. No bottled water also. With hot shower. TV is via YouTube only. Breakfast is just fine. It's already good for it's price.. Don't expect too much for this place.

This is my third time to experience the Hotel as solo traveler. Cleanliness is good and fine. The hotel staffs are accommodating. Good service. The meals are thru buffet. Good quality meal. Have tried the hotel breakfast. Nice and good. One of my best choice to stay in Manila.

The room has a pungent smell of urine. Bedsheets, pillow cases, blanket and towels were not smelling fresh and clean.

I had a great stay in this Hotel! Excellent location, very near and walking distance to the US Embassy and St. Luke's. The staff are very accommodating and attentive. Great value for money. Rooms is spacious, We are lucky to be upgraded to a Deluxe Room. Thank you so much, Anex Hotel! We will be back.

Upon Check-in I was greeted by a Bed who seems somebody had already slept on it. The pillow of the other bed is already crumpled it’s obviously someone had already use it, in addition to that the remote is on the other side of the bed which give me an impression that someone used the bed while watching the television before I checked in. I went down directly to the reception area I let the receptionist see the picture, He just told me as per the information of the cleaner the room was cleaned l, BUT I am sure somebody had already used the room before I checked in. And the receptionist didn’t give a F at all. Attached are the photos.

This is by far the worst hotel I have checked in my entire life. Having traveled in many places and worked in the Maldives in the field of hospitality industry, I have by far experienced the worst customer service a business has to offer through this hotel. They have charged me early check-in of more than 70% of the value of a night's stay without properly informing me. I have emailed them three days before my stay and clarified if there will be an early check in charge and they did not inform me about it. I have communicated two times and I was never informed. They respond to my inquiry so slow like they do not value a possible booking. I arrived with my child (two years old) and they insist I pay the early checkin fee. As soon as we arrived in our room a big cockroach was crawling on the floors I had to kill it for the sake of my baby. I asked to room personnel to clean it. He just sweep it without disinfecting the Floor considering the remains of the cockroach splattered on the floors. My child have to walk barefoot no slippers were provided. The bed has black insects and the room has mosquitoes. There was no real or sincere hear to rectify the matter but just mere apologies. I kept quiet as I have an interview to attend to while I'm there but upon my check out I almost explode in anger. The staff was not able to grasp what I was trying to say upon check out that he has to ask his co staff in front of me "ano raw?". I find this very unethical and rude. They charged me for the towel that my kid has stained with candies. No consideration was given to a guest who is early checking in with a child, no appropriate information. I almost find the receptionist behaviour as sarcastic. I have paid almost 5,000 php to a cockroach and mosquito infested room whose staff are inconsiderate. Whenever I go out with my child's stroller nobody will even open the door for me. I wonder what makes them too busy focused on a computer. So far, staying in this place is worst experience and is worse than staying in a low cost motel. Being a backpacker myself and not much picky, I can tolerate the unhygienic cockroach and insects and being charged all the fees like they are too much into collecting money than giving a good experience for the guest but the attitude of the supervisor on that front desk and the whole experience is a nightmare I hope nobody else will experience.
