Kleines gemütliches Hotel. Ruhig aber nur wenige Schritte zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Die Laoten sind sehr gastfreundlich, aber der Komfort von Hotels an klassischen Aussichtspunkten ist immer noch nicht mit dem von Hochhäusern in China vergleichbar. In dieser Hinsicht bin ich bereit, Luang Prabang zu geben Volle Punktzahl.

Das Hotel mit den schlechtesten Unterkunftsbedingungen und dem niedrigsten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis während der 13 Tage dieser Reise war ein zweistöckiges Holzhaus am Straßenrand. Der Fahrzeuglärm war laut, die Ausstattung im Zimmer war einfach und veraltet , die Badewanne war schmutzig und schrecklich, und es gab nur eine Steckdose, um sie zu benutzen. Das Zimmer war klein und fühlte sich deprimierend an aber es gelang mir nicht, die Reservierung zu stornieren, also musste ich warten. Ich mache mir nur Vorwürfe, dass ich bei der Bestellung zu voreilig war. Es wird vorgeschlagen, es als passenderen Namen in „Old and Simple Luang Prabang Hotel“ umzubenennen.

Loved the location—everything you need is minutes away. There was a booking error on my first night, but it was handled well; I got the room I paid for from day two onward, plus a goodwill refund. Just a heads-up: being on the alms route means some very early morning tourist bus noise.

The worst I’ve ever experienced in my whole life and totally disappointed by the management refusing a refund when we were obliged to leave the hotel after the first night in an unhealthy room (see pictures), including old dirty water stuck in the bathtubs which didn’t permit us to take a shower after long hours traveling, nor the next morning. We were told another room would be allocated the next day but at 3pm afternoon still saying that they don’t know where others customers were to give us another room … we didn’t understand at all how customers can disappear hours after checkout (if it was true) so we moved out because we wanted to shower and have a room! The worst is that we’ve paid and hotel doesn’t want to refund anything and should I add, manager didn’t dare to show up to meet us for explanation and long ignored trip.com calls / emails! You can be lucky there or totally unlucky! You can judge with the pictures by yourself why we left and why we can the room was unhealthy (and far from what it looks on the picture).

Good location in the middle of the center. At sunset you can see the monks passing by from the room. Great experience!

Staff didn’t speak good English and also weren’t very helpful. Other than that, the location is amazing. It is across from where they do storytelling night and alms giving happens right in front of your door. Don’t opt for breakfast, we did and when we went for breakfast they only had 1 option available (out of the 8 they advertise), there’s good options around for breakfast.

This home-style hotel is located 5 minutes walk to Sakkaline and 10 minutes walk to Mekong river. Everywhere is close, complete facilities, comfortable beds. There is a unique stone-style bath up and all made of wood. There is a balcony where you can sit while looking out. The receptionist is friendly and the breakfast has been determined in western style. In front of and around the inn there are many places to eat that are delicious and cheap. The hotel is right at the corner of the crossroads. In the morning in front of the hotel you can give alms for the monks. I really like to stay here.

It's a nice budget place in the center of town.

We spent 3 nights in Ancient hotel and it wasn’t a nice stay at all. The room was okey, but there was no wardrobe or any other space to put or hang clothes, the bathroom lights weren’t working, the bed was extremely small, the bath was licking, and inside it the old water was staying. The room has no sound proof at all. We spent horrible nights, being awakened every time someone outside spoke loudly. It was not possible at all to sleep from 05:30 am to 06:30 am in the morning because of the groups of tourists who were attending Tak Bat ceremony (be aware of that, the ceremony takes place right in the hotel door, we were shocked). Just after that the noise of constructions began. We were extremely tired after these nights. The room was not too clean, with a lot of dust. We were not offered even once in 3 days to get the room cleaned or at least to take the trash out. A disappointing experience, we are glad it’s over.

Really nice place nice location but no extra special services like breakfast or options to book any trips or activities.

Everything was perfect. Had an early check-in and all the staff are helpful and friendly. Quiet area in the center

The room is really good. The only issue is that the front door is very difficult to lock. I'm trying hard to lock it, and it really needs to be fixed immediately. About the staff, I understand they are new and may not have much knowledge about local information or have received adequate training. I asked the staff about the prices of tours and public transportation in the evening, but the actual prices I was aware of seem to have increased, which makes me feel unsafe about spending money there. Overall, it's a really good stay.

An authentic place in Luang Prabang with large rooms, comfortable beds. I especially enjoyed the balcony. Easy walking distance to night market, Riverside.
