I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years and always enjoyed it. However it is undergoing some renovation right now, with most rooms closed. I believe the whole place is closing from July to October for the final renovation before re-opening. The rooms are compact but neat and tidy, and the but the wear-and-tear is clear to see. This should be fixed after renovations. My biggest complain is the dramatic reduction in the quality of breakfast offered. I see complaints about this going back to December 2023 so I don't think it is anything to do with the renovations. You used to have a selections of Tea, Coffee, Orange Juice, Milk, and fresh Muffins and Pastries along with cereal bars and and breakfast cereals to choose from. Now they have gotten rid of the coffee urn, OJ, and milk and you only get a few sugary cereal bars to eat. I asked the disinterested guy at the front desk (who was wearing his ear buds) and he told me there was a Keurig in my room. It's true that coffee was int eh room, but only ONE serving and I drank it the night before. Even if I hadn't used it, who wants to trapse back to their room and make coffee and then cart it to the breakfast table? Please get this fixed for your post-renovation guests. I also noticed the intersection on which this hotel is located was considerably nosier than I remembered from previous stays. Every ***** in Brentwood with a loud engine (bikes and cars) enjoyed screaming away when the light turned green. Not the hotel's fault, but worth considering. I hope 2024 brings this hotel back to its previous high standards.
