The hotel foyer was very pleasant with comfortable chairs and a bar. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable but we did not like the condensed milk provided so could not have a cup of tea. The breakfast was the usual buffet with some hot food. There was too much white bread and one day no wholemeal at all. Also the yogurts all had sugar in them. We would book again

Die Jugendliches Versammlungszentrum kann nachts in einer kleinen Bar ein Glas trinken, aber das Zimmer ist klein und die Einrichtungen sind nicht zu neu, aber der Dekorationsstil ist relativ speziell, das Aussehen der alten und der moderne industrielle Wind ist auch sehr behutsam.

Der Preis für ein so kleienes Zimmer ist nicht gerechtgertigt. Auf dem Zimmer hat die Klimaanlage nicht richtig funktioniert und kamm gegen die Wäre nicht an. Es fehlte eine Flasche Wasser auf dem Zimmer! Ebenso fehleten Handtücher, so dass diese nach geordert werden mussten. Das Frühstück war OK aber nichts besonderes.

I stayed here for business for 3 months. It a clean and friendly hotel. It is very central therefore easy to walk anywhere in Lille from it. The staff are so friendly and are always keen to help. I always felt it as an oasis of calm .. despite any chaos outside .. rugby World Cup & braderie.. I would walk in the doors to calm & peace. The gym was basic but adequate for my needs and again I enjoyed the calm of it. I would recommend it whole heartedly and will miss it.

Ein jahrhundertealtes, von der Kirche umgebautes Hotel, das die Kollision von klassischer und moderner Kultur, Gärten, Kirchen, Klavieren, Wandgemälden, einer eleganten und schicken Umgebung vermittelt und ein schweres Gefühl vermittelt. Da die Einrichtung des Zimmers etwas kompliziert ist, wird jemand an der Rezeption die Gäste sehr vorsichtig in das Zimmer bringen.

Das ist ein ”klassisches” Hotel, aber Sie erhalten eine voll ausgestattete Küche im Zimmer, die großartig ist, wenn Sie Frühstück in oder etwas leicht und schnell kochen möchten. Die Lage zwischen den beiden Bahnhöfen ist spektakulär. Das riesige Westfield Einkaufszentrum ist gerade hinter der Ecke mit einem unglaublichen Carrefour da. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt, die Damen bei meinem Eincheck waren sehr hilfreich, da ich mit meinen Karten für die Zahlung hatte. Ich kann nicht das gleiche sagen für einen Mann, der dort am Abend arbeitete, der nicht ganz interessiert war, meine ödmjuke Anfrage nach einem Flaschenöffner, der seltsam genug nicht in der Küche geliefert wurde. Ich bin sicher, wenn er gefragt, Das Hotel wird mit einer Sicherheitsgeschichte oder nur mit einer falschen Bla-bla kommen, weil sie nicht zugeben wollen, dass Sie nicht Ihre Flasche ins Zimmer bringen können, aber Sie sollten lieber den Wein von ihnen kaufen. Eine andere Sache, die sie verbessern könnten, ist die Sauberkeit des Toilettes, des Badezimmers und des Zimmerbodens. Vergessen Sie mich nicht: Sie waren nicht sichtbar schmutzig. Aber man könnte fühlen, sie waren ”gewächst” unachtsam, nur um Sie zu glauben, sie sind sauber. Und man konnte den Raumboden nicht mit heißem Wasser und ordnungsgemäß waschen fühlen. Das gleiche für das Bad. Ich konnte nur vor meinen Augen die lazy Reinigungspersonal sehen, die sich nicht weniger um die Genauigkeit ihrer Arbeit kümmern. Aber insgesamt bin ich absolut ein Düsen auf die Wohnung und empfehle es jedem, der die Schönheit und Charme von Lille und Nordfrankreich erleben möchte!

Book this hotel because we had a train at 6am and it was next to the station. We had an issue because we booked for 4 persons (2 adults and 2 kids). But at the hotel, they says we only booked for 2 adults and they asked us to pay additionnal fee for extra people. The issue was between the booking platform and the hotel. I don't know how but somehow the commnication between them was incorrect. And it was to the customer to pay again because of the mistake between them. And the hotel was telling us that we were cheating, trying to go with 4 people and paying for 2 which was wrong.

We stayed here for the Olympic Games and booked a long time out at more than 4 x the usual price but I guess that’s supply and demand for you…. It feels like a little like a student hotel or hostel to be honest which at its usual price would be totally acceptable. Our family room was clean and quite comfortable and had a separate area with two twin beds for the children. Bathroom was a tiny cupboard with paper thin walls. Staff very friendly. There is a small cafe which we didn’t use but resembled a student canteen. On the plus side - it is a 15 minute walk from the Eurostar terminal and about 5 minutes walk to the metro. And we loved Lille - the old town is really pretty and was fun to explore. At the usual price it would be a reasonable base for a bargain weekend.

The hotel is excellently located opposite the main train station where the Eurostar arrived. The area was very quiet and also within walking distance to pretty much everything we needed to see so we walked everywhere and never needed public transport. The lobby of the hotel is cosy and very welcoming and the people at reception were friendly and very accommodating. The room was nice and the beds very comfortable. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that but we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Dirty, no staff & no food! Staff tried hard but they are working against it. Rooms smelt mouldy, dirty bathrooms and rooms. Very poor quality. Rugby World Cup and no food available, wine terrible. Ask for rooms next to each other which they we had as we have teenagers, different floors and no room to change!
