A lovely, quiet, small hotel on the best part of the island. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Soho Holbox. From the first greeting by Rosie at the front desk to easy check out on my last early morning. Wonderful, kind staff that were always working to keep the place spotless. My room, on the top floor, was spacious and light with a wonderful balcony with a small view of the sea. We experienced some heavy downpours and there was some water that came through the door but as soon as I mentioned to staff they came and mopped for me. Having Spirit next door is amazing. A great happy hour, a roof pool and the best sunset view. You’re only a few steps from the beach and Spirit has free beach loungers with no blaring music. Quiet, serene beach. Due to rain, most roads were flooded and walking along the shore was the best way to get around. But that was fine because that part of the beach is the most beautiful. No tourist traps, no loud music- just beautiful shoreline and crystal clear waters. I treated myself to dinner at Nomade just a few doors down and it was exquisite. This is such an affordable and beautiful spot. I’m almost afraid to spoil it by spreading the word. But it’s just lovely. Yes, the walls are not thick and you can hear some spillover from other rooms but get a top floor if you can. I’m sure if there was a loud group it could be a problem but everyone who was there was very respectful. The breakfast is simple but sufficient and there are many other food options. Small adjustments like coffee machines in the room would be nice. A lovely stay overall.

Das Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet und sauber. Der ruhige Naturstrand Punta Coco ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Eiin paar Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar, jedoch ist der Ort insgesamt eher etwas für Ruhesuchende und es ist toll sich auf der Dachterrasse den wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang anzuschauen.

Das Hotel liegt am nördlicher Rand von Holbox. Dies ist aber kein Nachteil, sondern eher ein großer Vorteil für Ruhe suchende Gäste. Das Niveau der Gäste ist sehr angenehm und man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause. Hierfür sorgt der außerordentlich aufmerksame Service der Mitarbeiter, deren Freundlichkeit nicht zu übertreffen ist. Unser Zimmer ist sehr freundlich und hell mit einer modernen natürlichen Einrichtung. Von der Terrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick über den Palmenstrand und das Meer. Die Sonnenuntergänge auf dieser Insel sind sowieso außerirdisch. Genauso wie der gegrillte Fisch im Restaurant….. einfach köstlich. Fazit: Wer ein ruhiges Hotel in einer wunderschönen Natur mit einem richtig guten Service sucht……der kann aufhören zu suchen….. am besten man überzeugt sich selbst davon. Ps: Wir kommen wieder und das aus Überzeugung und vollster Zufriedenheit.

We loved this hotel, and it’s much like the rest of Holbox- very laid back. Which can be a bit irritating at times when you’re paying a lot of money! We had the beautiful ocean view 2 storey room with lounge, bedroom and shower room. But 2 floors up- and no one to help carry luggage. We’re oldies! A couple of times the maids forgot hand towels, soap for the handbasins didn’t appear till day 3, the minibar in the room was completely empty. Not even a bottle of water on arrival! Water takes a good 5 mins to heat.. but don’t give up-you get there eventually and can get a hot shower! All the staff are lovely and friendly - but often one would tell you one thing and another member of staff would say something to the contrary so we were confused - there were different opinions for example what was to be included in our breakfast! Different menus given on different days and being told we’d have to pay for eggs (we didn’t) if we wanted them.. and one day they had completely ran out of beach towels so we had to do without. This was all just a bit annoying - none of it spoiled our holiday - but for the £250/night we were paying I think beach towels, soap, bottled water etc should have always been supplied- and reception and restaurant arguing over whether we should pay for eggs or not.. again resolved by day 3 or 4! .. that shouldn’t have happened. But the views are spectacular, and watching the sunset from the rooftop bar is amazing. And everyone is just lovely!! So we would def go back. And the restaurant food was generally very good!

Primero tuvimos muy mala suerte debido a una tormenta que dejó muchísimo SARGAZO en la playa del hotel, lo que hizo imposible disfrutar de las instalaciones en la orilla del mar. Estaba todo sucio y el mal.olor era insoportable. Tuvimos que ir a otros hoteles y pagar por el uso del club de playa. Hablamos con las personas de administración acerca del tema del sargazo y de no poder usar la playa y no hubo alguna compensación por los gastos extras. Ni un descuento en el bar del.hotel, al menos para estar en la piscina, ya que en la playa era imposible. Es muy frustrante pagar un hotel en la orilla del mar y no poder hacer uso de este, el valor que se paga es mucho más alto que un hotel en el centro. Realmente no les importa que los huéspedes se sientan cómodos ni bien atendidos. Otro punto importante que no tiene que ver con el sargazo son las camas. Tiene un colchón tan duro que no se puede descansar y las almohadas muy planas. No pude descansar bien ni un sólo día. Es segunda vez que me alojo en este hotel, pero creo que será la última. Fueron 5 días en los que no pide descansar bien, no pude disfrutar de la playa y además gasté mucho más dinero del que imaginé.

Posto davvero curato e rilassante. Ottimo per un soggiorno di coppia. Personale gentile e attento. Propone anche alcune attività legate alla meditazione e allo yoga. Ottimo ristorante fronte mare. Unica pecca mancia obbligatoria del 15%su qualsiasi servizio. Caduta di stile a mio avviso quando arrivati per il check in non avendo il tassista da cambiare 500 pesos e non accettando neanche la carta per il pagamento ho chiesto all’hotel che mi ha prestato 200 pesos. Chiedendo di mettermeli in conto sulla camera hanno ricaricato del 15% il costo.
