I recently had the pleasure of staying at a youth hostel that truly stood out for its exceptional qualities. Nestled in a residential area, its location was incredibly convenient, offering a tranquil retreat just a bike ride away from the city center—less than 10 minutes to be exact. This made for peaceful nights, ensuring a restful sleep in a safe environment. The hostel is run by a delightful couple whose hospitality knew no bounds. They were not only eager to assist with any issues that arose but also went above and beyond by providing bicycles. This thoughtful touch significantly enhanced my mobility around Houston, allowing me to reach various destinations swiftly. What set this hostel apart was the attention to detail and the array of complimentary amenities, including cookies, milk, cereal, coffee, and tea. The cleanliness and smart technology throughout the house contributed to a seamless stay, making it the best hostel experience I've ever had. The bathroom towels folded into swan shapes were a testament to the owners' dedication to detail, adding a touch of elegance and care. The warmth of the place was akin to being at home, with the owners always ready for a chat, eager to answer questions, and share their stories and experiences. A highlight for me was the world map on the living room wall, where guests could pin their home countries—a fun and interactive way to connect with fellow travelers. In summary, this hostel was more than just a place to stay; it felt like a home, or perhaps more accurately, a homestay. It's undoubtedly the best hostel I've ever stayed in globally, blending the comfort of a home with the adventurous spirit of a hostel.

Great Service, Lovely Breakfast — but Room Noise and In-Room Dining Could Improve I recently stayed at the Thompson Houston and overall had a great experience, especially thanks to the excellent service. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Their attention to detail really made me feel welcomed, and I was touched when they surprised me with a graduation cake — a thoughtful gesture I truly appreciated. The hotel breakfast was a highlight. The food was fresh and well-prepared, and once again, the service stood out. Dining in the morning felt like a treat thanks to the welcoming atmosphere. That said, there were a few downsides that affected my stay. The room was quite noisy, even late into the night. It was hard to relax or fall asleep with the amount of outside noise coming through. Also, I ordered in-room dining on two occasions. On the first day, everything was great. However, the next day the fries were noticeably soggier, the salad was just a bowl of greens with six tiny avocado cubes, and — most concerning — the aioli on the side looked like it had already been used. Overall, Thompson Houston left a positive impression on me, mostly due to its exceptional staff and quality breakfast. I hope they can improve the soundproofing and ensure consistency in their in-room dining service.

Everything was as expected. Free breakfast, laundry room and even better with suites and some day fast food restaurants in walking distance.

Es war groß für das, was wir es für brauchten, Schlaf & Dusche. Es war ein wirklich kaltes Zimmer, aber sehr zufriedenstellend schlief. Nat jeder kann in den Aufzug gehen, um in die Zimmer zu gehen, muss einen Schlüssel haben, um den Aufzug zu benutzen. Sicherheit war das beste. Ich hatte auch einen Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle, den ich nutzen konnte.

Die Umgebung ist gut, das Servicepersonal ist begeistert und im Erdgeschoss gibt es einen Fitnessraum. Leider wusste ich nicht, wann ich ging. Es gibt keine Einkaufszentren in der Nähe, aber Einkaufszentren wie die Galleria sind nicht weit entfernt

Der Geruch des Desinfektionsmittels ist ziemlich stark, das Frühstück ist gut, der Aufenthalt ist sehr bequem, die Zimmerkarte ist ein bisschen schlecht, das Personal an der Rezeption wechselt sehr schnell, geeignet für Studenten, die in Houston leben.

Die Einrichtungen sind ein bisschen alt, und jeder tut es jeden Tag! Die Umgebung ist ruhig und sicher! Die Rezeption kann das Wechselgeld ändern, der Induktionsherd, der Kühlschrank, die Mikrowelle ist sehr einfach zu bedienen, ich habe eine Bratpfanne gekauft, gebraten und gebratenes Steak viel gegessen!

Das Zimmer war sauber, aber es gab eine Lähmung und das WiFi war sehr schwach in rm 109 die junge Dame in der Pflicht war Sehr hilfreich und schön.
