Das Hotel sollte einen kostenlosen Transport zum Flughafen anbieten. Beim Einchecken gaben wir die gewünschte Uhrzeit laut elektronischer Anzeigetafel um 4:30 Uhr an. An der Rezeption teilte man uns mit, dass der angezeigte Fahrplan nicht aktualisiert sei. Der kostenlose Transport verkehre nur stündlich, also entweder um 4 oder 5 Uhr. Wir wählten 4 Uhr. Als ich am nächsten Morgen zur Rezeption ging, teilte uns der zuständige Manager mit, dass keine Buchung vorliege. Gleichzeitig teilte man uns mit, dass der kostenlose Transport nur zu einer bestimmten Stunde gelte. Man zeigte uns die aktualisierte Anzeige. Wir hatten keine andere Wahl, als für den Transport zum Flughafen zu bezahlen. Es ist dem Gast gegenüber nicht fair, dass wir nicht über die Änderung informiert wurden und sich Fahrplan und Preis über Nacht änderten.

Dies ist ein sehr neues und luxuriöses Hotel in Nairobi. Die Sicherheitsvorkehrungen sind äußerst streng: Sicherheitskräfte befragen Gäste am Eingang, Polizeihunde suchen nach Sprengstoff, und Taschen werden in der Lobby durchsucht. Es gibt außerdem bewaffnetes Sicherheitspersonal. Sie brauchen sich jedoch keine Sorgen um Ihre Sicherheit zu machen; dies ist eine reine Regierungsauflage. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich; von der Rezeption über den Concierge bis hin zu den Mitarbeitern im Restaurant ist jeder zuvorkommend und bemüht, alle Anliegen zu klären. Die Hoteleinrichtungen sind umfangreich und umfassen Tischtennis, Darts, ein Fitnessstudio und einen Außenpool. Das Frühstück im Restaurant ist reichhaltig, und der Kaffee ist ausgezeichnet. Die Lage des Hotels ist nicht sehr zentral; es gibt keine Restaurants in der Nähe. Sie können entweder im Hotel essen oder mit Uber zum nahegelegenen Dorfmarkt fahren, der eine große Auswahl an Speisen und Geschäften bietet und somit sehr praktisch ist.

The accomodation is absolutely top range and comfortable and the place has so much to offer. Unfortunately, it appears to be running on auto pilot or poor management. These are the things which really annoyed me: 1. Arriving at night, the signage is not well lit and we struggled to establish whether we had arrived at the right place, especially the security personnel at the gate were not being very helpful. They have never been given any training to help them understand that they are the first point of contact between guests and the residency. 2. We arrived on a ”Jazz Night” but, although I am a jazz lover, it should not be foreced upon everyone. The layout of the dining area is very poorly thought out. There was no maitre d'hotel or someone to direct us as to where we should go if we wanted to eat and not listen to music. Eventually we found someone to help us walk past the music area and squeeze past the tight space to go past th bar to the dining area. The whole layout is kind of back to front. The dining area should be more easily accessible and there needs to be a way to separate the main dining area without getting rid of the dining tables in the music area. 3. The dining area is exposed at the back and there was a strong could draught that night, because the rear part of the dining area is exposed to the elements.

Ich hatte zwei Übernachtungen von Samstag bis Sonntag gebucht, da mein Flug am Montag um 1 Uhr nachts ging. Ich war gerade von einer Safari zurück und total erschöpft. Ich hoffte, mich etwas ausruhen zu können. Leider begann es am Sonntag gegen 4 Uhr morgens mit starkem Lärm aus dem Zimmer direkt gegenüber. Anscheinend hielt sich eine Gruppe in mehreren Zimmern auf, schrie und ging ständig zwischen ihnen hin und her. Ich rief zweimal an der Rezeption an, und obwohl die Rezeptionistin freundlich war und sich umgehend um die Gruppe kümmerte, hielt der Lärm an, und schließlich gab ich den Versuch zu schlafen auf. Am Nachmittag funktionierten dann auch noch Wasserhahn und Dusche in meinem Zimmer nicht mehr. Ich musste erneut anrufen, um das Problem beheben zu lassen, und selbst nachdem es behoben war, gab es kein warmes Wasser. Ich musste eiskalt duschen. Trotzdem hat mir das Essen und das Ambiente des Hotels sehr gut gefallen – die afrikanischen Artefakte in den Fluren und die hohen Decken verliehen dem Ort eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Es ist genau die Art von Atmosphäre, in die ich gerne zurückkehren würde. Aufgrund der Störungen und Unannehmlichkeiten, die ich erlebt habe, werde ich aber wohl nicht wiederkommen, es sei denn, es ist unbedingt notwendig.

Der Service ist herzlich und zuvorkommend. Jeder hier geht mit Begeisterung auf Ihre Wünsche ein. Vielen Dank an Charles für das kostenlose Upgrade meines Zimmers. Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Von den Fenstern auf beiden Seiten genießen Sie den Blick auf Nairobi. Die Duschmöglichkeiten sind sehr sauber und hygienisch. Nach der Safari hier zu übernachten war meine beste Entscheidung.

What an amazing experience! Me and my wife have luckily travelled to many countries and stayed in a range of hotels and this was one of the most comfortable and welcome experiences. Our first time in Nairobi so we didn’t know too much about where to stay until we spoke to some people. They mentioned the area to be safe and also recommended this hotel as a great way to be comfortable in Nairobi. You have security in entrance and exit and they were super nice. All the staff in the hotel were accommodating and showed us around and had us alll the info we needed. We got breakfast included and stayed for 3 nights. The breakfast was exactly what we needed. You have a range of foods to choose from and I’m sure you’ll find something you like! The food at the hotel is halal which is great for us too. Our room was cleaned and refilled every day and they were respectful and details in their service. We also used the gym which was super great. Enough for you to get a good workout in too. The location is next to Sarit Centre, perfect to access the Masai Market (on specific days) and also shops of all kinds. Big thank you to the team and everyone involved! Will definitely choose this hotel if I’m ever in Nairobi and also one I’d recommend to friends and family.

Good location if you want to be fairly central with a few minutes walk to plenty of bars. Uber is very efficient and cheap here if you want to travel out. The staff were very good and the restaurant/bar is 24/7 (I believe). Room was lovely. Overall, although I think Nairobi is a little on the expensive side, this was ok. I tried to book again for after the safari but it was more expensive so i went to the Swiss Belinn instead, which was cheaper and the same standard (a little further away but again, Uber and Bolt are super efficient and cheap here). TIPS FOR FOREIGNERS COMING INTO KENYA: 1. Get your currency outside of Kenya, the exchange rate here, particularly at the airport, is absolutely awful - I found them to be offering upto 35% less than the actual rate. 2. You only really need a small amount of cash here - most places you will visit accept card. 3. DO NOT BUY A TELKOM SIM CARD. It is absolutely useless, even in Nairobi but does not work AT ALL on safari. 4. Uber and Bolt are very good here. 5. If you are doing safari and your trip does not include the national park fees (payable in USD), make sure you get those before arriving - the banks and ATMs here are very unreliable if you want USD. 6. Do not pay extortionate hotel prices for laundry - find a local company who will collect and deliver your laundry for a fraction of the price like Smartfua Laundromat. 7. If you go on Safari, try not to sit on the back of the vehicle - it gets VERY bumpy. Have a great trip!

Die Umwelt ist sehr gut, wenn nur einige Wildtiere aufgezogen werden. Das Frühstück ist gut, Frühstück und Abendessen, Barbecue für eine Nacht, um die Show zu sehen, europäisches Abendessen für eine Nacht. Beide sind ziemlich gut. Mittags wird es neben dem Einkaufszentrum gelöst. Nicht zu viele Gäste, geeignet für den Urlaub.

They provided three meals, if you are a Chinese tummy I had the chance to stay at Xiaomi Homestay in Kilimani, Nairobi, and it was a refreshing mix of comfort, convenience, and cultural charm. Location & First Impressions The homestay is tucked away in the lively Kilimani neighborhood, which makes it easy to access restaurants, shopping malls, and transport. The property itself feels modern, clean, and welcoming — a good balance between homely warmth and hotel-like comfort. Comfort & Amenities The facilities were a big plus. The gym was well-equipped, making it easy to keep up with workouts, while the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing after a busy day in the city. Both amenities added great value to the stay, especially for anyone who enjoys fitness and downtime in equal measure. Meals & Dining Experience One of the standout features was the inclusion of three daily Chinese meals. This made the stay very convenient, especially for anyone missing home-style dishes or simply wanting a reliable, flavorful option without having to step out. The meals were hearty, authentic, and gave a unique cultural touch to the experience. Atmosphere & Service The overall atmosphere was warm and peaceful. The hosts provided thoughtful service, striking a nice balance between giving guests privacy and being available when needed. It truly felt like a home away from home, with just the right amount of care.
