A wonderful place to stay in. The service was fantastic. The room was huge, much too large for just a solo traveler like me but it would have been perfect if I had brought my wife and child along. The onsen quality was great, albeit the fittings at the shower area were a bit old. The food was hands down amazing and featured great local produce. Honestly there was too much for one person to finish! What I especially liked was that they had a separate room on the first floor where if it was too early for you to check in, you could drop your luggage off, change, and then grab your gear and head to the slopes. Same thing if you intend to charge the slopes a bit more on your last day, just leave your stuff in the storage room, hit the slopes, come back and change out, hit the onsen for the last time, then go off. Definitely recommending this place to my friends visiting Zao.

Abgesehen von der wunderschönen Lage. Zuerst dachte ich, ich wäre mit der geräumigen Lage des Zimmers unkomfortabel (ich bin ein sehr hübscher soloreisender), aber das Zimmer war einfach so komfortabel mit einem ausgezeichneten Blick. Der Heizgerät war etwas heiß, aber es gab auch einen elektrischen Fan, so alles war großartig. Das Hotel bietet Ihnen jede Nacht ein kostenloses 50-minütiges privates Bad, und die private Bad sind erstaunlich, in der Lage, bis zu fünf Personen zu beherbergen und mit Fenstern zu lassen in Licht und Dinge. Ausgezeichnetes Wasser - sehr sauer und sehr heiß. Es dauert einige Zeit, um sich an die Wärme gewöhnt zu werden, aber wenn Sie es tun, ist es eine himmlische Erfahrung. Es gibt auch öffentliche Badezimmer (kostenlos) die Sie über die ganze Nacht und früh morgens genießen können (sie sind nur während der Morgendämmerung geschlossen für Reinigung 9-12), ein Innen- und ein Außenbad, beide miteinander verbunden. Das Hotel ist gut für Skifahren in und aus, Um in und aus zu gehen braucht ein wenig Geduld, da es auf höherem Boden liegt, aber es gibt einen kostenlosen Shuttle-Service bis 5:30pm. Der Onsen ist das Beste, da es sowohl inner- als auch Außenonsen hat. Es ist so gut, die Schnee zu haben.

Die Reise war ein paar Wochen voraus geplant, die Unterkunftsmöglichkeiten in Zao Onsen sind knapp. Wenn es andere Optionen gab, würde ich wahrscheinlich nicht wieder mit diesem Hotel gehen. - Vor Ankunft habe ich das Hotel zweimal mit trip.com angerufen, aber niemand antwortete. - Es gab nur ein Vorderbüropersonal, das die Eincheckung bearbeitete. Ich habe 20 Minuten auf die Eincheckung gewartet und die indische Familie hat sie für 35 Minuten gewartet. Es gab noch ein anderes Personal, das aus dem Büro kam und die Warteschlange anerkennt. Trotz der langen Wartezeit des Gastes wurde jedoch keine Maßnahme ergriffen. - Ich fragte nach dem Busdienst, aber das Personal am Eingang sagte: „Kein Bus“. Ich sah den Bus mit dem Hotelnamen um die Zoo Onsen. - Am ersten Tag der Zimmerreinigung hat die Reinigungsdame die verwendete Porzellan- und Japanisch-Tasse nicht ersetzt. Auch keine Reinigung auf Teebeuteln und Toiletteneinrichtungen. Zu diesem Preispunkt von über USD500 pro Nacht war ich ziemlich überrascht. - Es gibt 2 Orte, eine außerhalb des Hotels und eine auf der 1F. Der Outdoor-Art im Hotel wurde nicht geöffnet und der Grund ist die „Snow accumulation“. Das Zimmer ist geräumig und sauber, aber der Service erfüllte die Erwartungen nicht.

What a gem of a place! The special thing about this place is that there are 5 private outdoor onsens as well as a gender-segregated public bath and one mixed gender outdoor bath (for this one, you need to wear a bathing suit). If you are shy of exposing yourself or like taking photos, then those 5 private outdoor onsens are just perfect. I went in the autumn, which is cooling already and I can imagine what a treat it will be in winter with all the snow. The hotel is located almost to the top of the hill. Either drive or call them ahead and they will pick you up and drop you off in the vicinity. My room is quaint and Japanese-styled. I didn't pay for the meal package as I knew I'd would be busy trying out all the onsens available. They are all open 24hrs. By the way, private onsen number 1 and 5 are the best and most picturesque!!! I'm doing all a favor and posting all the pictures of the private onsens.

Even though we called the hotel stating that we would be late for the check-in and dinner as there was heavy snow in the highway. The staff postponed it to 730. However, the snow was so heavy, we lost our way in town and we arrived at 8:10. The staff saying that we were too late and rejected to provide any food for us. we had to walk downhill to the town to find our own dinner. however, on the second night of our stay, we noticed that the other guests were having dinner at 9:10 when we passed by the restaurant. We know that we were late, but I believed that hotel is in the hospitality industry, the staff have to be considerate to the guests. as we were not meant to be late on purpose, just because of the bad weather outside, we couldn’t drive fast. We were in the highway 2 1/2 hours without any food and drink in the hope of arriving on time.

Nice and clean business hotel very near the Yamagata train station. Location is top notch! Basic hotel with everything you'd need. There is an artificial onsen on the 14th floor, which was good for a soak after a long day. Breakfast buffet was basic but tasty. Warm foods like rice, miso soup, bacon, stir fried veggies, etc were available in addition to some pastries and bread with butter and jams. Will definitely stay again when in the Yamagata area.

Not as clean as I've come to expect of japanese properties. For some reason, the cleaning lady/man left some black rubber debris on the floor which looked sus and I ended up cleaning after them 😑 The onsen is small and old, but tolerable due to its sufficient heat. Breakfast is good but it ends up taking up precise (and critical) time because breakfast starts at 730, and by the time I got to the ropeway station (at 810) the queue is already super long and I waited three hours before boarding the cable car. Only one staff (mixed race?) speaks English and he doesn't look particularly friendly like other Japanese staff, but I suppose he's helpful enough to Western standards.

It’s quite a big hotel, 3 buildings are connected and there are many rooms. The rooms are a bit outdated but still maintained well. Service was good and flexible. Transportation to the village is quite necessary when the roads are covered by snow, especially with luggage. They have free shuttle bus which is great. Best parts: 1. Dinner semi-buffet has unlimited alcoholic beverages including local sake, draft beer and wines. 2. Ski & board rental shop is right outside of the hotel. Although hotel only accept cash for the lift ticket, you can rent the gear (rental shop accepts credit card) and ski down the hill (20sec) to the cable ticket counter to buy ticket, pay by credit card. The location has lifts 5,6 and cable 4

Das Beste, was ich an diesem Ort erleben konnte, war, dass die Besitzerin eine großartige Köchin ist und außergewöhnlich gut mit ihren Gesprächen und Umgangsformen beim Empfangen und Begrüßen ihrer Kunden umgeht. Die Lage ist auch wunderbar, da es ruhig und dennoch nicht weit von den wichtigsten Ess- und Durchgangsbereichen in Yamagata entfernt ist. Ehrlich gesagt ein verstecktes Juwel. Der einzige Nachteil wäre wahrscheinlich der Whirlpool, da sie ihn alleine bedient und wenn mehrere Leute in dieser Nacht dort wohnen, kann er etwas schmutzig werden, also werde ich auf die Duschen verzichten. Ich liebe diesen Ort so sehr!
